Ronin shifted his eyes to Yuri, walking to her. He ruffled her hair, grinning.
"He's probably looking after the girl, to keep her safe. There seems to be a barrier of sorts around this place, if anything tried to get in, we would be able to sense it. Let's look for the girl, then we will be able to sort this out."

Yuri nodded, looking around. The shrine was so big, how could they find Nori and Eriko? Perhaps splitting up would be best. That way, they can cover more ground. "How about we split up? Might be able to find her quickly that way. Not only that, if the Arrancar were to attack from a different position, we would be able to stop them. What do you think?" Hopefully, it would be a good idea. If not, they can still search together. She enjoyed spending time with Ronin. "Hopefully, they won't come.."

As much as he wanted to spend time with Yuri, Ronin knew that finding the girl took priority. He nodded to her, smirking.
"We split up, we need to find her in order to get answers. There is more to this crap than she is telling up and I want all the information."
Ronin dug his knuckles into her head playfully, smiling a little. They had to find the girl, he had a feeling that she was at the middle of this entire situation and he wanted to know why.

Yuri pulled away from Ronin as he dug his knuckles into her head. She then fixes her hair, looking over to him. "Well, maybe she does or maybe she doesn't. If she knew why the Arrancar are after the shrine, I figure they would do more than just put up a barrier. Maybe her father knows more than she does? Either way, she is in the middle of all this and needs to be watched over." After all, she must have some talent as a Shinigami due to performing Kido. Despite that fact, she doesn't seem well trained. "I don't know what her father looks like, but one would assume that he owns the shrine. Remember, Eriko went to find him and talk to him and it wasn't before too long the barrier was put up. If he did put up the barrier, wouldn't that make him a Shinigami too?"
It seemed so mind boggling on what was going on. Still, they had to do their part and protect the shrine and those that were in it. "Tell you what. How about you look for uh..I think Her name is Eriko and I'll look for her father. One or the other may be able to give us the answers that we're looking for."

The next day had come and she was already work on her shrine duties. She was sweeping the entire area bit by bit, seeming to go at her own pace. She could see the barrier, but had no idea what it was for. She just figured it was her father's way of making sure no unwanted visitors showed up. However, she just had this gut wrenching feeling that something horrible was going to happen. As she finished up the sweeping, she steps inside to rest for a moment. Eriko sits down on her knees, clasping her hands together as she closes her eyes and lowers her head as if she was about to pray. "I feel like something unspeakable is about to happen.. It seems my new friends have something coming after them. Father has done what he could to protect them and the shrine, but is it enough?"
She sighs, still staying where she was. She had to let everything out that she was keeping to herself. At least no one would be around to listen anyway. "Please help me protect them, Father, and the Shrine. I may not understand it yet, but these people seem tied in with the shrine just as Father and I are even if he won't tell me anything. I suppose it doesn't matter.. Father knows what he must do and I must help him.." After she was done, she stood up and stretched. She then walked out, looking up at the sky. It seemed like a beautiful day.
"The looks so clear. Hopefully it'll stay that way.."

Nori kept a close eye on the girl, making sure he remained safe. He was not sure if she knew he was tailing her, but it did not really matter. Ronin told him to watch her, so that was what he was going to do. Yuri had gotten a call earlier, her voie different than when she talked to most people on that phone. Speaking of Ronin and Yuri, he had not seen them in a while. He hoped nothing was wrong, but something told him that something was horribly wrong.
Something is off, I can't tell what because of this blasted barrier but I know something is wrong, VERY wrong...

Yuri was searching around the Shrine for Eriko's father, but was having no luck. It seems like he didn't want to be found. For now,s he gave up on the search, looking to the barrier. She was very concerned on what was going on with Shukumei, Ryouji, and Azumi. As far as sh knew, they were still trying to contain Ryouji's hollow form. "Why hasn't he contacted me yet? I hope Jiro didn't somehow get pulled into the fight.."
Sighing, she then stretches and goes back to her search. For some odd reason, Yuri felt really uneasy. It was just something that couldn't be ignored. What is this that I'm feeling? It's like something really horrible is about to happen.. Right now, it's just the calm before the storm.. Regardless, I know this place is important.. That just means I have to protect it with all my strength.

Ronin had moved onto the roof, figuring it would give him the best vantage point. Something was bothering him, and it was something big by the feel of it. The barrier was getting on his nerves. He knew that something was up, but couldn't find out what. all he could do was stay put and protect the shrine. He growled, throwing a punch which sent a fireball flying toward the barrier.
"Damnit! I hate waiting!"

After traveling across Karakura town. Ryouji found himself at the shrine. He remembered it vaguely. However he was certain that this was the place where he needed to be. He narrowed his eyes while lifting his head slightly to stare at the shrine itself. There was a barrier covering it. Ryouji turned his head back slightly upon feeling the reiatsu of Jiro.
"You're fast a lot faster than I originally thought for a lieutenant. Make sure you do not speak of what you see."
Unknown to practically everyone, the dark knight did infact could use Kido being that he was no ordinary Shinigami, he just prefered to use Zanjutsu which he is a master of and Hakuda (hand to hand) Ryouji slowly extended his left hand outward at his side with his palm facing in the away from him. He clinched his fist quickly creating a purple wave of spirit energy which formed under neath his arm. Upon doing so, the feel of his reiatsu grew stronger.
"Hadou Fifty-four...Haien!!"
Upon uttering the name of the Hadou spell, the purple colored spirit energy crashed into the barrier, disintegrating it completely. Once the wave of energy crashed into the barrier a large pillar of smoke rose and covered the area around them.
"Haien obliterates whatever it hits...including barriers. Even an idiot knows this."
Ryouji walked through the smoke and approached the steps of the Shrine. He slowly began to climb them more determined than ever before to find out what he could do to save Azumi and stop the Original Six from being released. As he approached the door, he pushed it open and stepped into the shrine he began walking through it, sifting through the different reiatsu to attempt to find Karasuma.

Ronin saw the barrier come down, immediately running to the front door. He narrowed his eyes when he saw who it was, not lowering his guard.
"You look better than what you were when I last saw you. Why did you bring down the barrier? The girl could be at risk. Did something happen?"
He studied the former Captain, gathering information.
"Something did happen... What is it?"

Ryouji noticed his stance and closed his eyes before sighing. He honestly didn't have time to stand here and talk but he also knew that they had to know the truth so he would make this explanation as quick as possible.
"They were never after the shrine or Eriko to begin with. We were all decieved as to who they were really after..."
His expression changed from something somewhat mellow to one of anger. No matter what Shukumei or anyone says it was all his fault for not protecting her.
"They were...after Azumi. The girl was just a means to find this place once they were going to come after her. Shiva played us for fools. She made us all think that they were after Eriko when they were really after my wife..."
Ryouji clinched his fist tightly as they began to emiit a black reiatsu. He was grinding his teeth together attempting to keep himself composed but he could not help that his wife was taken away from him and he could do nothing to stop it.
"Our discusion ends here..."
Ryouji Flash stepped passed Ronin and entered the shrine to look for Karasuma. He had to know something and there was no point in trying to hide it. Ryouji had little time for games and was not in the mood to talk rationally about anything. If he wouldn't come out and talk with him then Ryouji would destroy this shrine and force him out into the open to talk.

jiro made sure to keep up with Ryouji when he made the way to the shrine. He seemed a little distracted distracted from trying to figure out how he and Yuri were alike. However, hearing the comment about her obsessions of memories and cameras, it seemed to flare him up a little. "I don't obsess over things like that. Captain has her reasons. It may seem foolish to other people, but she seems happy trying to keep all the good memories she can. Especially how the entire squad is going. Anyway, go do what you gotta and so will I. Er.. I didn't mean for that to sound so bossy, by the way."
He shrugged it off, looking around for Yuri, soon noticing Ronin. He has heard a lot about him from Yuri, so the least he could do was introduce himself. "Ah, you must be Ronin. From what Captain says of ya, you must be really good. I'll be watching you though. Hurt her in any way and I'll be sure to make you regret it." When he realized how serious it sounded, he jsut rubbed the back of his head, seeming slightly embarrassed. "Don't mind me. When it comes to Captain, I get protective really fast. Oh, by the way, I'm Jiro Seki, squad three lieutenant. Nice to meet ya."

As soon as the barrier went down, Yuri got on the defensive. Once seeing Jiro and Ryouji come in, she signed in relief. Right now, talking to Jiro could wait. She had to go see how her former captain was doing. Besides, he might need help with something and the least she could do was help out. When she catches up to him, she moves in front of him for a moment. She wasn't trying to stop him or anything. She just needed his attention for a moment.
"Are.. Are you alright? Seeing you like that had me worried.. I'm not saying I doubted you or nothing.. It's just.. You've been there for me when I needed it but.. I couldn't do anything for you.. I'm so..." She quickly looked around, seeming paranoid due to the fact of Azumi promising to pinch her cheeks from apologizing over simple things. Sighing in relief, she looks back to him. "I see that you met Jiro. I wish I could of done so earlier, but with the way things went, I couldn't."
When noticing how upset he was, it became instinct to want to step back. She could instantly see how bad he felt and how angry he was. Maybe she could help calm him down. "If you're this upset.. Did something happen to Azumi? Even so, I know it's gonna be hard, but please calm down. You often told me to keep a clear head. I know sometimes Idon't do it but.. I have my reasons and it's besides the point. Please don't do anything rash. I..don't want to see you more hurt.."

Ryouji stopped upon noticing Yuri's attempt to calm him down. When has she ever lost someone she's loved. He wasn't in the mood to be talked to in the way she was talking to him.
"My wife, the woman I love more than my own life was taken away from me and I could do nothing to stop it. She is everything to me. EVERYTHING!!"
Ryouji rammed his fist into the floor while exerting a tremendous ammount of spiritual pressure in the process. Due to his anger, Ryouji's left eye had changed color. His eye ball was as black as night while his iris changed to a golden yellow (Like a hollow's eye color). He glared at her before standing up slowly.
"You have no idea what its like to lose the one you love and be powerless to stop it and until you do, don't tell me to calm down Yuri Nakayama. The one you love is standing right over there."
Ryouji pointed to Ronin before grinding his teeth, the more he thought about how Azumi was taken away, the angrier he became. It was infuriating and rather leaving for the Hueco Mundo now, he's stuck here attempting to gather in formation. Who knows if its to late or not.
"If you want to help so badly either help me find Elder Karasuma or stay the hell out of my way Captain"
Ryouji pushed himself passed Yuri and continued his search into the shrine. He was a little harsh but he was also angry and desperately wanting to go and rescue Azumi. He wouldn't feel right until she was right back in his arms where she belonged.

Ronin looked at Yuri's Lieutenant, his pupils turning to flames. The thought that he could even hurt him was insulting to him. He was about to make the ground under him erupt when Yuri showed up. His mood instantly softened, that is until the former Captain showed up and started speaking. The room suddenly got very hot as he fought to control his temper.
"I know what it's like to loose those you love, I lost BOTH parents! I'm all for revenge, hell I'll carve a path for you! But you are WAY out of line! If you are looking for the old man, I've been all over this place, no dice. However, when you look at the place from above, there seems that there should be more rooms inside, begin your search from there if it'll help your cause."
His pupils remained flames, looking at Yuri's mentor. He knew the pain that he was going through, but Nori had showed him that lashing out at others was not the solution. Now it as his turn to pay it forward.

Yuri was about to say something, but when she heard Ronin speaking, she didn't bother to say anything at all. Sighing, she turns toward Ronin and Jiro, smiling a little. "So Jiro, have any news?" The lieutenant nodded, explaining all that he knew. She could tell that Jiro seemed bothered, but she can't worry about it right now. "It's fine Jiro. He's upset and has the right to be. So you said Shukumei wanted us to prepare and head to the Urahara's?" It seems like Shukumei was going to prepare a journey to save Azumi.
"Well.. I'll head on over. I trust that you and Ronin will follow afterwards." If it wasn't noticeable, she seemed very hurt at what Ryouji said. She didn't mean it the way it sounded. She was only trying to help out like he helped her. She rubs the back of her head, looking to them. "Ah well, guess it can't be helped. I'll see you guys when you come." She then flashsteps off, going to help Shukumei out.

Ryouji whipped his head back slowly and glared at Ronin, he was under the impression that he was being spoken to when the situation itself didn't exactly concern him at all.
"I was not aware that I was talking to you...human."
Ryouji turned away from Ronin and Jiro and continued his search and he would not rest until he was found and questioned heavily. Was it possible that Karasuma was using kido to hide himself away. Why would he not wish to be found.
It was becoming a chore either way. He had to sense something was wrong being a shinigami and all. They were on the verge of the biggest war possible and he was no where to be found he was friends with Azumi so why wouldn't he help.

As the former Captain left, Ronin's temper exploded. A giant pillar of fire erupted around him, nearly consuming him and the two Shinigami near him. The rogue should not even be allowed to be anywhere near this due to how close he was to the situation. The only reason he had not spoken his mind further was because of Yuri. He growled, storming off as he walked past them. He kept mumbling something about an over jealous prick that was looking for a beat down and was going to get it. Since the barrier was gone he just walked, not really caring where he went.
Stupid jack ass... get yourself killed! I couldn't care less! I've had enough of trying to be your friend! I'm done with it! I'm done with you!

Eriko was out doing her chores for the shrine when she noticed Ryouji breaking the barrier. A bit nervous and scared, she ran off to tell her father what had happened. "I see.. It appears the worse has happened. For now, go back to your chores. And please, don't try to eavesdrop." Eriko nodded, going about her business as her father went to find Ryouji and whoever else might be there. Once seeing Ryouji from a distance, he took a deep breath, walking to him. "I see that you have arrived. I'll bring your friends along since they deserve to hear this as well. All that I ask is that you leave my daughter out of this. The less she knows, the better."
He walks a bit away from Ryouji, sooner o rlater finding both Ronin and Jiro. He motions them to come on over. "I know you have questions, so please ask them."

Ryouji stared at Karasuma, finally he made himself known and it was about damn time. He really thought that he was going to have to use Eriko as bait...thank god he didn't have to go with that idea, He truly did not need anymore nuisances or reasons to waste more time.
"Spare me the lecture on how strong and powerful they are. Its smart to go on the assumption that the Arrancar have already forced her to release the Original Six. Even if they haven't released them yet they are going to. There has to be a failsafe just in case something like this were to happen. What can be done to keep them locked away?"
There had to be something and time was running out as was his patience to rescue his wife.

Karasuma was surprised it was just Ryouji who had stepped forward. When he looked to see if Ronin was there, he wasn't. Perhaps his age is finally starting to catch up with him. "I wish there was a safety net to fall back on, but it doesn't appear that way. The only assistance I can offer is to attempt to reseal them again when they are free. Granted, it will be hard for me to do alone, but I have a feeling it must be done that way." He could see the anger that Ryouji possessed. He doesn't blame him for feeling that way, but he must be careful on how much anger he shows.
"Fate has a way of eithe working out or just screwing you over. I understand why she took you to where you needed to go, but it would of been for the better if Azumi brought who she needed. Another barrier could of been used to hold you in, but there's no time to reflect on the past now. Say whatever you like or do whatever you like after hearing this, but it must be said. You must control your temper. I understand how you feel abou t Azumi and how much you want her back. Now that they have her, you must understand that she's going to be put in a horrible position.'
It must be hard to be force to set free being that could probably destroy anything and everything in their path. However, Ryouji does need to understand that it may be Azumi who will cause the future events to happen. "It's no surprise why they wanted your wife. Her sister were one of the many who helped seal them and one of many who died. It would make sense to use the relative to try and break the seal. She's going to be hurting and it's going to be you who has to be careful enough to not make it worse. Azumi will most likely be heartbroken if not more. See it through her eyes. How would you feel being forced to set free beings that your family died for to seal that could possibly harm you?"
Probably taht's answering what he really needed to know. Karasuma just exhaled. "All we need to do is get to the site where they were sealed at and prevent them from making Azumi breaking the seal. Your opponent may realize this and bring reinforcements. It's best you do the same. Time is not on our hands. I must head on ahead and try to prevent them. I don't have time to explain where. Not to sound rude, but you have the ability to find me."
Without another word, Karasuma left to head to the site where the main battle will begin. He hated to leave without saying goodbye to Eriko, but this had to be done. He had faith that when the time comes, she will understand. "There was so much I wanted to teach you..To share your heritage.. You've made me proud.."

Ryouji sighed, they could have already been released by this point. Still it wasn't right for him to have to come to. Following the Reiatsu Karasuma was giving off, Ryouji flash stepped to him and appeared in front of him, blocking his path. He stood silent for a moment before lowering his head.
"You offered me advice a moment ago but honestly you're doing the same thing I'm doing are you not. Rushing off not worrying about the consequences of your actions. If you confront these Arrancar there is a very high chance you won't live. That goes for all of us. You can't abandon your daughter and Azumi would never forgive me if I allowed you to be dragged into this as well. Your place is here in your shrine with your daughter Old Man Karasuma."
Ryouji turned away from Karasuma he kept his head lowered slightly before raising it again and glancing back.
"She needs you more than we do and probably ever will. So stay with her, teach her about what she is, and her power and remain with her always. She will always have Azumi as a friend, but no matter what, Azumi, nor Shukumei, nor myself can ever fill the role you play in your daughters life."
Ryouji turned his head and looked forward. If there was nothing that they could do prior to them being released then there was no point in letting him come anyway. Much like anyone who is a prisoner, once they are free, they will do all they can to remain that way and if they have been locked away for the last half of a century or so, then it was quite certain that they would never allow themselves to be sealed again thus making his appearance pointless.
Without word or so much of a goodbye. Ryouji vanished with a quick flash step, it was time he headed to the shrine and prepare himself. He could only really think of her safety, how could he keep himself in check when they were probably torturing her, but sooner rather than later, he would be there to rescue her even if it took every ounce of strength he posessed. He was going to leave Hueco Mundo with Azumi in his arms.
