After dealing with the mess that was that giant monster and filling out her report, Shizune realized that she too had a lot of training to do as did her squad. Even though she wasn't a captain she wasn't like any of the others at all. She spent time with her squad and provided them the opportunity to stress any views or complaints they may have. One could say she was open with them but it didn't change the fact that she had to be a little stern every now and again.
She didn't want them taking advantage of her kindness and mistaking it for weakness. She called a meeting of her entire squad to the Squad Thirteen's court yard. Even if it was mainly a relief squad, she still had a little one hundred Shinigami at her disposal. To assist in this effort she in listed the help of her infamous Auntie Ayame or who was once known as Zetsumei. Though very few people knew this. She was the one who taught her father and Aunt Shukumei to fight so she was actually grasping at the chance to watch how she would train her squad.
Once everyone had gathered she stood on a platform over looking the entire squad. One thing she could say about her squad was that they were very respectful of her, mostly because of her father and Aunt...both who are well respected...and feared to some extent.
"I'm sure many of you are asking yourselves or your peers why I called this squad meeting. To answer that question, I've come to the realization that after dealing with that invading monster earlier. I still have room to improve and hone my skills. I have room to improve and I believe that you all have the capabilities to improve as well. To advance and to become stronger. It is my job to protect my squad but it is also our job to protect those that matter to us. To protect the Sereitei as well as all of the soul society. I ask of you, will you train so that we can continue to grow stronger and protect what we hold sacred?"
In unison her squad answered her with a lot of roars and screams. One would assume that meant yes, though it could mean know, she was never sure which is why she liked having direct answers.
"I knew I can count on you all, for our training endeavors, I've asked my Auntie Ayame to assist us."
She lowered the book down that was covering her face and glanced out to the squad. A majority of them were men of course. She smiled and winked and as desired a few of the men took noticed and allowed their...gender to speak for them.
"Captain...she's to cute to be a fighter! Are you sure this is going to work?"
Shizune blushed and nodded. She was quite sure, if they only knew the kind of monster this woman really was. But they were going to find out anyway and it was quite possibly be the most embarrassing thing she's ever witnessed.
"Auntie Ayame, how many would you like to start with?"
Ayame lowered the book from her face again and glanced to her little niece and smiled. "All of them, there isn't a better way to learn than hands on experience". Shizune was even a little confused. Did she really want to take on one hundred or so Shinigami by herself.
"She's hot and crazy! There is no way one woman can take on a hundred Shinigami. Captain, you aren't going to allow this are you! Think of your poor aunt...we wouldn't want to bruise that pretty face!!"
Shizune turned to her aunt to attempt to sway her to take on at least four, maybe even five. But one hundred was sheer insanity even for her. These were all men and woman armed with Zanpakutou!
"Did you want a sword to help fend for yourself? I noticed you don't have one with you."
She shook her head and jumped down from the platform and walked her way through to the center of the crowd. They formed a giant circle around her. She didn't even bother looking up from her book. Reaching into her Kimono she drew a small square around herself and then stepped on it. In this instance the chalk was going to serve as a vulnerability marker. Each kick she delivered would mark the area in which many of them would be vulnerable.
"If any of you are able to enter this square, I will consider myself defeated and you the winner. If you don't...well that's just to bad for the lot of you isn't it? This square will serve as my range, as you can see its pretty small, and I will not leave it. I'm not sure what my niece has told you, but I'm a bit rusty. So please, you'll take it easy on me won't you?"
She smiled and raised her book in front of her face and signaled for them to attack her. A few of them looked at each other but one stepped up. With his Zanpakutou in hand he charged toward Ayame. He raised the blade above his head but before the blade could reach her, she stopped it with her pointer finger. She then thrusts her foot into his stomach and sent him hurling quite a distance before he crashed into the ground. Others gathered around the poor fool and could not believe he was defeated with a single kick.
With a sense of pride several others approached her with their weapon drawn and began to swing at her wildly. While within the square she ducked and maneuvered Herself to keep from getting hit. Using her feet, she began to attack each of the men one by one with nothing but her feet, all while continuing to read her book. One by one they went down until she lowered her book to check on her progress.
"Perhaps I should get serious and stop reading this book, at this rate, I could paint my nails and none of you would be any closer to defeating me. Tis a shame, Shizune hold this for me."
After tossing the book to her niece she turned around and flipped her hair and stood their waiting. She wanted them to do something so she egged them on. Yet after that last group none were willing.
"Come now, certainly you can't be afraid of lil ol me. Whatever happened to all the "She's to cute to be a fighter?" I'm still cute, I'm just one of the most dangerous fighters to ever walk the Sereitei. Now do your Captain proud and lose with dignity!"
After practically being insulted a few more rushed in. Ayame left her feet and plated both of her feet into two different face, sending them flying backwards and of course out of the fight. Once she landed another charged in. She side stepped, grabbed the person's wrist and threw him into a group of other shinigami.
It was sad...she hadn't even gotten through the lot of them before she was tired of it.
"Is there no one in this squad who can enter this space and defeat me?"
