[The first part of this post takes place in the Sereitei, then it will then take place in the North Rukongai!]
It has been ages since Emi brought everyone back. It was good to know that she was a twin again. It was hard to admit but things with her brother gone was tough but then Emi really missed her “Uncle Ouji” and told everyone that they will be back in three days and bam. They were back like nothing happened. The ability to reconstruct everything without thinking of it is incredible. She knew that her brother would be fine, but she missed hanging out and having Azumi cook.
As soon as she was about to daydream about Azumi’s cooking, Kentaro knocks on the door and is met with dread immediately. Taking that as “come in”, he opened the door and stepped inside. Once Kentaro saw his captain sprawled out, definitely sad that she hasn’t seen her brother or her nieces for months, the Captain had to see them…plus it would mean that he would get to see Hina again. That also meant that he have to see Shiori again and after what happened at Squad Four medical barracks, he wasn’t ready to be sworn at.
Shukumei noticed that Kentaro was deep in thought. She stood up from her desk and walked over to him and shouted his name and caused Kentaro to cry out for help. When he realized that he was safe in Shukumei’s office he sighed and thanked the Soul King he was safe.
[Shukumei]: ”You want to see Hina, don’t you? That means you are terrified of seeing Shiori again…don’t worry. I have been a Captain for a long time. Don’t worry, you will be more than welcome. Since you finished all of your work, let’s head on over. I can’t believe it’s been months since I’ve seen Ryouji and Azumi! Should I bring my wife too?”
That’s right, you didn’t know that Shukumei was married. Well don’t worry, you aren’t alone in not knowing. Every time that Shukumei was going to tell Ryouji that she got married. Something much bigger always happened so the opportunity never came around. Now was as good of a time as any to reveal it.
Shukumei picked up her phone and called her wifey and told her to meet them at Ryouji and Azumi’s home and to bring something wonderful! When she hung up the phone. Kentaro was ready to go and they were off.
Once arriving to her brother’s place Kentaro was hesitant to go in to be greeted by everyone. He knew that he would be treated badly. If you had the option to die 1,000 deaths or be greeted by Shiori, he would take the deaths every single time. Shukumei promised that things would be different and to trust her. The fact that she said that, means he is absolutely right and would fear for his life.
She knocked on the door, and it was opened by Kiyomei! She greeted them and allowed them inside. Hina came downstairs and hugged Kentaro and they disappeared quickly, leaving Shukumei to finally talk with her brother who she figured was outback. Once going there, she was greeted by everyone, Azumi and even Kaori, then her nieces and finally her brother who she gave the biggest hug to! It was great being back. With them but now was the time to tell her brother that she was married.
When her wife arrived. She forced the two of them outside to where she would introduce her in front of everyone!
[Shukumei]: “Everyone, I have been wanting to introduce you to someone very important to me. This is my wife, Arisa! Arisa, I would like to introduce you to my brother Ryouji and his wife Azumi!”
Azumi hugged Arisa very tightly and welcomed her to the family. Ryouji was also excited and gave her a huge hug. Shukumei was rather shocked that Ryouji was taking it so well.
[Shukumei]: “I was expecting, you to make a joke of some sort Ryouji, I have to say…I am very shocked but very happy. I admit, we got married a very long time ago but you seem happy to meet her!”
Ryouji was happy to meet his sister-in-law! While he couldn’t be at the wedding, he is happy to know that Shukumei and Arina are happy. That’s all he could ask for.
[Ryouji]: “I am grateful that I finally get to meet the woman responsible your making you so happy, both of you looked so happy in your photos, it is truly an honor to meet the woman who has made my sister happy.”
Shukumei hugged Ryouji and told him thank you. It almost seemed silly that the two had a sibling rivalry that had gone on for so many years, but wait a minute. Photos? From where? Shukumei thought for a moment and that’s when all of the pieces fell into place. All she could do was say the person who she knew would take a photos of their wedding. Since she isn’t here yet, she couldn’t wait to give her a stern talking to. Ryouji however, wanted to spare Emi of the blame.
[Ryouji]: “I know you want to be upset at Emi, however I believe the actual person is Shiori and her love for photography! I don’t know why she tries to hide it, but Shiori is just like Yuri, she may not have time for it like she used to but Emi is innocent!”
Shukumei couldn’t help but laugh at the secret. The photographer was Shiori!! That clever girl! Still, this day was going to be one of the best days ever!!!
