Here is the different kinds of races that can be chose from when you join. There will be a description of what they are and where they are originally located from. Humans and Shinigami have unlimted amount of people who can join under those races. If too many people join under the other races, they will be removed.
Humans: The main race that can be found everywhere. They range from infants to elderly people who try to make a living where it be proper or improper.
Shinigami- Often called Soul Reapers or even Death Gods. These are humans who have departed the world of the living. They are located int he Soul society and live within Seireitei where also Noble clans live at. They are beings who are able to manipulate spiritual energy. While in Shinigami form, they remain "invisible" to normal humans unless one has a high spiritual awareness. They also have a zanpakutô that allows them to send pluses (ghosts) to Soul Society and to purify hollows. Captains usually wear a white haori over their Shinigami clothes that has a symbol of their division on the back of the haori. Both captains and lieutenants often customize their personal appearance or that of their uniform.
Hollows- Hollows are former pluses (deceased human souls) that lose their hearts to despair or remain in the real world for too long. Any spirit that is not guided to Soul Society by a Shinigami may eventually descend into a hollow. The process by which a soul becomes a hollow usually takes months (if not longer), reflected by the length of the soul's Chain of Destiny which resides in the same location as their heart would be. The Chain of Destiny slowly corrodes over time, reflecting the degradation of the soul's ties to the living world. The process can be accelerated under certain conditions, such as being attacked by another hollow or through the use of certain spiritual powers. When the chain completely decays, the soul is warped into a unique and monstrous form with a vaguely skeletal mask and a large hole where their chain was once connected. They feed off of souls, dead or alive, to fill in their hole. The majority of ghosts peacefully move on to Soul Society after their deaths. Some, however, stay in the living world to fulfill certain goals, such as looking after a loved one, protecting a particular location, or pursuing a grudge from beyond the grave. However, with only limited abilities to interact with the living, and by definition tied to their goals, many ghosts find they are unable to cope when their loved ones move on or old enemies forget them. At this point, some will become dangerously obsessed with fulfilling those goals, even if the means to fulfill them renders the soul empty: for example, killing anyone who comes near a loved one, in order to keep them from hurting that person. In doing so, the ghost warps into a hollow and, ironically, often makes the focus of their obsession into their first victim. When purified by a Soul reaper, the once human being is cleansed of the sins they commited while being a hollow and is sent to the Soul Society. However, if a Hollow had sinned during their life before dying, they will be sent to Hell.
Quincy- Unlike the shinigami, who use a sword as their primary weapon, the Quincy's weapon of choice is a bow. It is constructed from spiritual particles drawn from their surroundings. Unlike Shinigami, when a Quincy defeats a hollow, everything is destroyed and thus creates an unbalance. It appears that Quincys and Shinigami do not get along as both have different views of how to get rid of Hollows.
Arrancar- An arrancar is a hollow that has removed its mask and gained shinigami powers. Arrancar and ordinary hollows differ in two ways: the location of their holes and the near-total disappearance of their masks. When hollows become arrancar, the chances of them retaining a humanoid form increase with their intelligence; only vasto lorde-class arrancar will definitely assume a humanoid form. If powerful enough, an arrancar can seal his or her excess power into the form of a zanpakutô. Unlike with shinigami, this zanpakutô is by no means sentient. It is simply the hollow's true form sealed into a sword. Therefore, an arrancar's release of their zanpakutô is merely a temporary restoration of their former selves. An arrancar release is called resurrección and do not have a known second release.
Vizard- the exact opposite of Arrancar. They are Shinigami that have somehow gain Hollow powers. Having begun as shinigami, the vizard appear entirely human. Unlike the arrancar, they do not have holes or partial masks (common traits of transformed hollows) anywhere on their body, though they can produce masks on demand, and they carry zanpakuto like normal Shinigami. When using their hollow powers, a vizard's appearance does not change except for the mask on their face and the color of their eyes, with the whites of their eyes turning black and the irises gold.
Bount- Not much are known about Bounts except for them being agroup of humans with special abilities. The Bounts live by consuming human souls, which potentially gives them everlasting youth. Due to this ability, they are not allowed to give birth. Thier leader for right now is Jin Kariya. Consuming living souls causes a Bount to physically age to a small degree so be careful of what you consume. Bount, being created as variations on a shinigami soul, have similar powers to shinigami. The foremost of these powers is the Bount doll, a familiar equivalent to the shinigami zanpakutô. Like a zanpakutô, a doll is its creator's power given physical form. Also like a zanpakutô, a doll's personality is much like its creator's, though the dolls seem to have more personality variation than the zanpakutô spirits seen thus far.The bitto are mosquito-like beings which drain the souls from humans and condense the energy into a purified liquid for the Bount to drink. They even produce a useful vial in their sacs to store the elixir. Kariya created the bitto by sacrificing Yoshino Sôma, the only Bount able to reproduce, in an elaborate ritual, producing a large swarm of them.
Fullbringers - Spiritually aware humans who's mothers have survived a Hollow Attack. Remnants of the Hollows Reiryouku then goes into the womb, and the child is born with their ability that manifests during different times of their lives depending on the situation. They have the ability to manipulate the "souls" that reside in ordinary objects. Their powers resembles that of Hollows.
Mod Souls- In short, sousl that have been modified. These are placed into items called Soul candies and when digiested forces a Shinigami out of their Gigai while the modified Soul stays in the Gigai to throw off suspicions. They have special features like strong legs or arms or anything of the sort.
