After having been wounded in the fight against the notorious Shinigami Hunter, Zetsumei, Shizune followed her former captain and mentor's orders to report to the Squad Four headquarters to be treated for her injuries. Regardless of what Lady Yuri told her, she still felt a little disappointed by her performance. Her wounds had been bandaged tightly but she had to take it easy for a few days by the order of Captain Unohana.
It was no secret that Shizune's mother couldn't stand Retsu, but she could not understand why. Word has it that her mother laid claim to her father,but her father was originally in love with Captain Unohana before he came around and married her mother. The heart is so confusing at times. Though even with all of the drama, Retsu treated her kindly.
"Are you feeling much better now, Captain?"
Shizune raised her head slightly and glanced at Captain Unohana while swinging her feet off the side of the cot she was sitting on. Shizune smiled and nodded. She did feel a lot better about a lot of things. The criminal who killed her family was now in custody, and she had more time to spend with her squad and work...though the work aspect sucked majorly.
"Yes, I feel much better...Thank you Captain Unohana. I have a question if it isn't to much to ask. Is it true? That it was you who sent my father and aunt here to the soul society?"
The Captain nodded in response to her question. She could only wonder what they were like all those years ago. Lady Yuri, told her many things that they both did, how they would bicker and fight and how her father had a weakness for being shaken.
"They were all so very strong and proud. Both had a knack for getting injured. I certainly hope that is one trait you didn't inherit from your father. Now then, if you can give us a few more moments,you will be cleared to leave. The execution of the prisoner, will begin soon and all captains are ordered to be present."
Shizune nodded and thanked Captain Unohana. It was hard to believe that her mother disliked someone so kind and understanding. Now came the boring thing...waiting. Shizune sighed as she leaned back on her hands and continued to swing her legs over the edge of the cot.
As she sat there, sounds of crashing and yelling came from the outside of her room. It sounds like someone was fighting in the waiting area/ entrance to the medical facility. "HEY CUT THAT OUT, YOU AREN'T ALLOWED IN HERE WITH OUT THE PROPER CLEARANCE!! AHHHHHHH" The scream was followed by more crashing and sounds of glass shattering. "STOP THAT YOU LITTLE MONSTER!!!"
Shizune wondered if it was Zetsumei who had managed to get free, but if that was the case a hell butterfly would have been sent to her. She wanted to take a peek but decided that it would be in her best interest if she didn't peak at all. It was then she sat up and shrieked quietly, upon hearing the 'little monster' she knew exactly who it was.
"Uh-oh..."

She had heard that Shizune had to go to see Unohana to get treated. She was scared that something really bad had happened to her so of course she was gonna check on her. When Megumi stepped in the headquarters to see if she could see Shizune, a Shinigami that was helping tend to the injured went to her and squatted down to her level. "I'm sorry Little One, but you're not allowed to go past here. You have to wait until Captain Onigata is well.
Megumi just huffed, already mad. How dare they keep her from her best friend and sister figure?"I don't care! Lemme see her!" Without much warning, she just ran through, many shinigami after her, all screaming for her to get back. She just looks back to them, sticking out her tongue as she runs from room to room. Of course, there was a lot of crashing sounds. It wasn't her fault they tried tackling her and she just moves out of the way. Each time they would fall,s he would point to laugh and keep running.
After making it into one room, she quickly closed the door, standing still until the shinigami members ran by. When she looked around, she spotted who she was looking for. For a moment, they just stared at each other. It seemed to be an awkward moment. After a while, the silents was broken. "SHI!" With a rather large leap, Megumi hug tackled Shizune with enough force to knock her off the cot and onto the floor. Once she was on the floor, she jsut sat on her stomach, holding onto her Shinigami outfit by the collar, shaking her a lot out of worry and concern.
"Why'd you do it?? You coulda got hurt really bad! You ARE really hurt! You coulda.. You.." She startled sniffling as she was about to cry. She truly adored Shizune. She didn't want to lose her. Of course, she doesn't know anything about her parents, but it didn't matter to her. All that mattered was keeping Shizune and her own parents alive and well. "Don't ever do something like that again! Let me know next time so I can make this.. this huge plan or something! Yeah! We could make a plan together! Uh.. Are you even listening?"

After being flattened by the forever energetic Megumi. Shizune sat up slightly and stared at her as she explained her concern in her own special way. She smiled and placed her hand on top of emi's head before sighing. She was always so worried about her when she went off on missions. She didn't mean to make her worry at all, nor did she intend for things to go the way they did, but it was worth it, since now she gets to spend time with emi.
"There is no need to sniffle or cry Emi, I told you that I won't ever leave you. There isn't anyone who could ever do what you're thinking. You are my favorite person. Besides if I die, who would you haveto keep you out of trouble hmm?"
Shizune smiled before standing up, picking Emi up with her. Once she was standing firmly on the ground, she stumbled a bit before regaining her balance. That tackle she endured was like being hit with a giant hollow fist.
After setting Emi down, she removed her Haori and placed it over Emi's shoulders. It was something she enjoyed wearing, not to mention she enjoyed bossing around members of Squad Nine.
"Where shall we go now Captain Emi? Before you get to into the role today, I have the execution to attend to, so we must be on the look out for hell butterflies"
Shizune giggled and awaited orders from the 'captain'.

Now that she was wearing Shizune's Haori, a wide smile appeared on her face. How she loved pretending to be a captain. Ever since Shizune has let her wear the haori, she had made up her mind that she would become a captain to have her own Haori. Anyway, it's good practice. Now she had to get the walk down. she had to look like she was in charge after all. So she tried her best to imitate Shizune. That wouldn't be fair though. She can't copy Shizune. It had to be her own style. So she just tried walking around like she was number one without a care. After getting it down, she smiled, climbing up on top of the cot to be at least taller than Shizune.
"Huh? Exe..execution? Eh, must be some boring thing Captain's gotta go to. But that's okay, we can watch out for the butterfly. So let's see.. You look to be okay so.. You have my permission to leave. Just uh, turn around for a moment, will ya?" She saw the confused look on her face as she turned around. She giggles, jumping onto her back, her arms around her neck but not too tight to cut off any air. "Off we go to find the other squad members!"

Shizune laughed before clearing her throat. Emi looked so cute wearing the haori the way she did. It was so big on her. Once receiving the order, Shizune straightened up as one would when in the presence of a superior officer.
"Yes, Sir!!"
With a flash step, Shizune left the room in which she was confined to and appeared on the outside of the door. She looked around at all of the destruction caused by Emi's ruckus. She couldn't believe it. Usually things were so tidy, but everything was destroyed. It was at that exact moment, Shizune felt it best to leave while they were in such a hurry to clean.
Sneaking past the cleaning squad four members, Shizune with Captain Emi hanging from her back made it outside of the squad four barracks and sighed. At last she was free to follow orders. Not wasting another second, Shizune performed another flash step and began to make way for her headquarters where her squad would probably be angry that she forces them to listen to Emi's orders as if they were her own regardless of how silly they may be.

Once getting in Shizune's headquarters, she got everyone's attention, pulling out a chair, standing in it, standing all tall and proud. "Alright everyone! I'mma be your Captain today! See?? I have the Coat on! So that means you gotta listen to me!" She heard a bunch of collected sighs and some whispers. "Hey! No talking while I'm talking! You gotta Listen to me and my Lieutenant, Shi. Got that?!" She heard them say 'yes sir' in a dreary kind of voice. "None of that! Tell you what. I'll be nice. I'll give you guys the count of five to leave. Those who leave are free for the day. Everyone else hasta stay." As she started to count, they were rushing t get through the door. Of course, a few did get out. But once she got to five, the remaining just stood there with their heads hung low.
"Hehe, now that you guys have so kindly volunteered to be my squad members, let's get started!"

It seemed kind of strange to step inside squad four headquarters. It was at the request of her lieutenant, so the least she could do was get checked out. While she was in one room, she heard a lot of commotion, rubbing the back of her head. IT seemed like Megumi was on her rampage again. She smiled, slowly standing up. Now that Zetsumei was finally to be executed, she could let her little one run around and play outside without worrying if he would go after her to get to her and her father. She looks to her arm, seeing the scar on her arm. It will be a constant reminder of the man who tried to kill her remaining family.
When she asked around where Shizune was, they found out that she wasn't in her room. "I see, she must of returned back to her headquarters. Thank you for your time. So, what happened here, exactly?" The members soon explained everything her daughter did, sighing as she covers her eyes. "Very well, I'll start paying for the repairs." She walks out, flash stepping to Shizune's headquarters. As she opens the door, she sees her daughter bossing people around. Though it made her chuckle to see her playing around, it had to become serious now. She soon clears her throat rather loudly to catch their attention.
"My my. My daughter, a captain. Though it pleases me to see you having fun, but may I ask where are you two going? You two should be there cleaning up the mess you made, isn't that right, Shizune?" Though she was angry, she was hapopy that Shizune managed to sneak her out of squad four headquarters. Though Unohana was a gentle person, she can have her scary moments. "So, are you two gonna come along with me to help clean up?"

Shizune rubbed the back of her head slightly when her mentor appeared opened the door to her headquarters. She really wasn't expecting it though she was having fun with Emi. When Yuri said that they should help clean up the squad four medical facility, Shizune giggled nervously. When she thought about it, there was no reason why she should have to go clean it up, after all it wasn't her fault that Emi was a quick opponent. Shizune's giggles stopped and she glared at Yuri before pointing at her.
"HELL NO!!!"
Little Emi started pointing to her mother as well, copying Shizune. Though she wouldn't swear like Shizune, did she knew that it helped get the point across.
"What she said...RETREAT!!!"

Shizune nodded and jumped over Lady Yuri's head and ran for dear life. She wanted to get as far away from her as possible, there was no way in hell she was going to clean up a mess she didn't help create though it was partially her fault since Emi had gone to see her. Even still, she continued to run and looked back while laughing.
"She'll never catch now, we're home free Captain Emi!!"
Shizune turned and started to pay attention to what was in front of her so that wouldn't run into anything or anybody. That was when she came to a skidding stop. The horrified look on her face told the story. Emi glanced down at Shizune and pulled on her uniform wanting her to continue running. Then Emi noticed why she stopped. Both Emi and Shizune screamed as loud as they could...they were busted.

When Shizune and Emi had ran out, she thought it would be nice to give them a head start. After all, there would be no fun n it for her if she just caught them right away. After what seemed like five to ten minutes, she flash steps out of the headquarters, following after them. A slight smirk appeared on her face as soon as she flash steps in front of them, causing them to skid to a stop. "Come on now. You should no better than try to out run me, Shizune. Out of all the games we used to play, not once have you been able to outrun me. So you don't want to clean, eh?"
There was only one alternative. Maybe she could scare Shizune into cleaning. "Well, since you don't want to help clean, Shizune, then I guess you won't mind me asking squad four to take out the repairs out of your paycheck whenever you go out on missions then." She wasn't trying to sound so cruel, but a lesson had to be taught. She did realize that it wasn't Shizune's fault in making the mess, but she didn't volunteer to help clean it up.
"So it's your choice, captain or should I say lieutenant since you gave the role to Emi? Help clean or have it taken out of your check?"

Megumi was starting to feel bad for getting Shizune into trouble. There had to be something she could do. Well, she was still in the captain role. She could order Shizune to go clean but it wasn't her fault that she made a big mess. It was hers. She would have to own up to what she did and get Shizune out of trouble. "No Mama, don't do that! I'll go clean up!" When she said that, she just got stared at by her mother and Shizune. It was like they misheard her or something. Isn't that what Captains do though? Admit to a mistake and try to fix it? "It wasn't Shi's fault that the place got all messed up.. It was mine.."
She hopped down from Shizune's back, walking up to her mother. How disappointed she must be for her making such a rampage. She doesn't mean to. It's just how she is is all. She was just worried that Shizune could of been badly hurt and she was just concerned for her safety. As she saw her mother lift up a hand, she closed her eyes. I'm in for it now.. When she felt her hand on top of her head, she opened one eye, looking up to Yuri.
"It takes a lot for someone to admit they did something wrong. It makes me proud to see you taking responsibility like a real Captain."
Megumi just blinks as she watched her mother kneel down before her. Sometimes even though she was smiling, it had a creepy kinda feel. Like 'even though you said sorry you're still in trouble' kind of feel. Well, regardless, she would clean up. She was excited to get back to bossing Shizune's squad members. "I'll clean up the place! Just watch!"

Shizune was rather shocked by Emi's choice to help clean up the fourth squads medical facility. It was very big of her, not to mention it kept Shizune out of trouble and it allowed her to keep her earnings from missions. Shizune knelt down in front of Emi and fix the Haori and smiled.
"That was very brave of you Emi, just for being responsible, I will let you play with my squad for a lot longer than usual today."
She patted Emi's head before standing up. A hell butterfly that was circling around her caught her attention. It could only mean one thing, that it was time to witness Zetsumei's execution. She extended out her right pointer finger and the butterfly landed on it soon after. It flapped its wings as it began to translate the message it was carrying.
"All captains are to report to the execution grounds immediately. The execution of the shinigami hunter known as Zetsumei has arrived. Preparations are now complete and the sentencing will soon follow"
After relaying the message, The butterfly flew off of Shizune's finger. She turned to her mentor and nodded. The time has finally come, the monster would finally be executed for the murders he's committed against her fallen shinigami comrades and her parents.
She never thought this day would come, its been nearly been quite sometime since her parents were killed. Perhaps now they could finally rest in peace even her aunt were all happy to know that their deaths were not in vain or at least she hoped they could finally rest in peace.

After watching the butterfly fly off, Yuri stood up, glancing to Shizune. Although Megumi did say she'd clean up, she couldn't risk having her tagging along and seeing something children should have to see. "Well, looks like we have to go now. You be sure to help the fourth squad get the medical center all nice and clean, okay?" Although Zetsumei was to be executed, no one would know if it would go smoothly or if he would try to escape his fate. She takes out her phone, calling Jiro. "I need you to come here as soon as possible to my current location. Few minutes? Very well. See you soon."
She hangs up the phone, putting it back in her shinigami outfit. "Just in case anything were to happen, I'm going to have Jiro escort you to Squad four headquarters. In the meantime, you will have to return Shizune's Haori to her. After everything is done, I'm sure she'll let you borrow it again." Within five or so minutes, Jiro soon appeared in front of them, awaiting orders. "Jiro, I know you hate to, but I must ask that you look after Megumi until the execution is over. Make sure she helps out with the cleaning. When it's done, I want the both of you to head back to headquarters." Megumi goes up to Shizune, taking off the Haori and handing it back.
"Just hurry up Shi! I wanna play more, okay?"
She giggles, soon taking Jiro's hand as they both set off to Squad four's headquarters. Yuri watches the two walk off into the distance until she could no longer see them. "Maybe we should reward her with her own Haori and Shinigami uniform. However, that thought will have to come later. We have an execution to attend." the captain soon starts to flash step, heading in the direction the execution will take place.

After watching little Emi and Jiro leave, Shizune smiled, wanting to somewhat forget about what was to happen shortly. The execution bothered her somewhat. She began to think...wondering if her mother, father and aunt would truly want her to feel relieved that Zetsumei was to be put to death. Even if they did not, he had to answer for his crimes.
After putting her Haori on again, Shizune followed Lady Yuri to the execution grounds where Zetsumei would be awaiting sentencing. Once reaching the execution grounds, Shizune stood near her mentor. It wasn't very often that all of the Captains were ordered to witness the execution of a criminal.
Shizune leaned over the guard rail and rested her chin in the palm of her hand. She glanced down at Zetsumei from the alter in which the captain's were standing on. He was still so calm and collected, She couldn't put her finger on the reason, but she was terrified of this individual. How could he be calm. The thought honestly gave her chills
"Let the sentencing commence!! Zetsumei, or better known as the leader of the Shinigami hunters. You are here by judged and sentenced to death, for seven-hundred and fifty counts of muder. How do you plead?"[/b]
After hearing the Captain Commander issue the sentence. Shizune glanced down at Zetsumei who said nothing in response. She narrowed her eyes and noticed that for a split second, The Hand of Death was smiling. Not a shred of remorse on his behalf. It was then that Shizune got a bad feeling.
"Very well then. You are here sentenced to death. The sentence is to be carried out immediately!"
Several guards approached a circular marking beneath their feet. In unison they chanted and performed hand seals, which caused the center of the circular marking to open up revealing a deep hole. Zetsumei was tossed into the hole and left to fend for himself against a enraged hollow.
"Even I can't watch this...this is to gruesome, although he deserves every bit of it."
Shizune turned her back upon hearing the hollow roar. Its shriek was filled with murderous intent and hunger. She's never heard anything like it before.
After the roars quieted down, another blood curdling roar from the hollow followed soon affter and then there was complete and utter silence. It was probably for the best. She would hate to see what the mess was like if there was one.

Yuri couldn't believe how calm Zetsumei is being. She too, had a feeling something was going to happen. What if getting caught was just a ploy to get closer to all the captains, especially the Commander General? Glancing over to Shizune, she noticed her back was turned. "It may be frightening to watch Shizune, but what it. Turning your back to him shows that you have an inkling of remorse. I know you have none for this man, but others may believe so."
It was a lot to bear witness to. At least all those who died will finally be put to rest. After hearing the second roar from the Hollow. It didn't seem natural. Not a roar to intimidate nor to catch someone off guard. Yuri soon unseathed her Zanpaktou, jumping up on the rail guard to get a better view. If he tries to go for the Commander General, I must be ready to intervene! "Shizune, Be on guard. I hate how Zetsumei is acting like this isn't something to be worried about."

The silence was maddening. It was easy to tell the shinigami were waiting to see if Zetsumei had been executed. The body of the hollow was launched out of the pit and thrown into one of the buildings surrounding the pit itself. The shrieks and the disbelief followed, how was he able to defend himself against a hollow in a pit designed to seal spiritual pressure.

Launching himself out of the hole. Zetsumei landed on the edge of the pit while laughing. With his mask taken away from him. His long hair covered his face as he continued to laugh while being stared at.
He raised his head revealing his face, he appeared to be no younger than any anyone of the captains or other shinigami that he's killed or any of the ones staring him down. His eyes floated up to the two responsible for bringing in him to 'justice' and continued to laugh.
"RESTRAIN HIM!!!"
Zetsumei's laughter ceased soon after as the elite punishment squad was sent in to restrain him, as the first made his move, Zetsumei cut him off with a flash step of his own and a powerful blow to the stomach. He took the blade the Shinigami was holding before plowing it into his back. He pulled the blade free and pushed the now deceased Shinigami down.
One by one he tore through the first wave of the punishment squad until there were none. He tilted his head to the side before darting toward the commander, the old man Yamamoto. As he ran, he raised his right hand quickly, and snapped, using the apparatus which was 'conveniently' left around his wrist and fingers.
"NOW YOU DIE OLD MAN!!"

Yuri had to do something quick before the Commander got injured or worse. "Seems like this man is just eager to die. Shizune, let's grant him his wish." Not wasting any time, Yuri allowed her Hollow mask to form. However, she was unaware that his unique ability was activated. She had just figured Yamamoto was just taken by surprise and didn't have enough to react the way he wanted. With a few more flashsteps, the Captain appears between Yamamoto and Zetsumei, unsheathing her Zanpaktou to block his attack. Due to the sheer force, Yuri moved her right leg back slightly while bending her left a little.
"You should of just died! I guess a fast death isn't deserving of you! Either way.. you will pay for your crimes!" She moves forward, pushing Zetsumei back who jumps back to add some distance between them. Not willing to go easy per Se on him, she was going to use the higher level binding Kido to hold him in place. As she finished the incantation, she was rather surprised nothing happened. With a chuckle, Zetsumei soon launched his attack, leaving Yuri to only block while being pushed back. Damn it, he must of sealed everyone's reishi again. I'm going to have to stall for as long as I can.
She was pushed up against the wall with nowhere to go, as he came in for the attempt to finish her off. Yuri quickly drops her Zanpaktou, grabbing his hand that held the dead Shinigami's weapon. She moved his arm around to his back, now behind him, Hopefully he had no other tricks up his sleeves. "Just give up, Zetsumei. You have the entire Gotei Thirteen here. If I fail to kill you, they will be more than happy to do the job." Of course she had to be careful. She had no idea what he could do even when in a situation like this.
