No more Time

[Yuri Nakayama]

Upon arriving in the Hollow world, she was directed to the headquarters of Aizen and the other captains who have turned their backs on Soul Society. There was something about the place that really creeped Yuri out. Nonetheless, there was nothing that could be done. She just doesn't have the power nor ability to leave Hueco Mundo. For the time being, she would have to be content on being a prisoner.

For most of the time, Yuri was quiet, taking in the sights. How can the inside be so white while the outside so dark? Well, the sand was white but that was something different. All the captain could think about is how he other captains and even Ronin were taking her leaving. It wasn't like she was betraying them. She was doing it for their sake, even if her leaving was done from a bluff. It was one that didn't needed to be called.

"Captain, what is the meaning of all this? Why do this? I assume this 'dark flame' you keep mentioning is whatever you have become. What makes you think it'll give the same result? Don't take this the wrong way or anything but I'm not a cold, ruthless killer like you are." It seems a bit strange that she was still calling him captain after two years. maybe it was just out of habit. Yuri lokos over to him, waiting for a response.

Ryouji stopped upon hearing Yuri's question. He lowered his head slightly. She was always quite the curious girl, rather than try to understand for herself. One could not blame her though, she wasn't very use to the surrounding area. Ryouji turned his head slightly and glanced at her out of the corner of left eye.

"Understand me Yuri, I didn't bring you here to the Hueco Mundo to fall into the never ending pit of darkness. I brought you out here because they will need you when the real war comes. In the two years since we've last met, you still don't have your Hollow under control now do you?"

Ryouji glanced off into the distance before him, this realm, this place of darkness, hatred and despair are all he knows now. Regardless if he could go back, he would be punished by either side for what he was truly planning on doing.

"I brought you here for that reason. Everything else matters not. Unifying you and your Hollow would give you access to a power that you could use to benefit you in your future battles. After the process has been completed you are more than welcome to return to your soul society and await the battle to come."

Ryouji turned to face the Captain who replaced him. The insignia she bore, made him sick to his stomach. It was rather nostalgic if you will. There was nothing more that he would love to do then to see that entire squad wiped out just so he wouldn't have to remember anything from his time as their Captain. However nostalgic feelings aren't the only thing on his mind. It was the fact that he was itching for a real battle and there was only one individual who could give him that, and it wasn't her or her human friends.

"Over the course of the next few days, my dearest sister will attempt to come here and rescue you. I assume she's bringing help, for she will need it. Over the course of those days, you will have gained access to the power within. There is another little twist. You're going to leave here with the Hougyoku. While I admire the newfound strength Aizen has given to me, he will only continue to push the bar until he has the perfect creation. Once he reaches that point the balance of power will no longer be even. It will shift in his favor and you can be certain that the sereitei will cease to exist"

Ryouji turned his back to Yuri once again. All in all it seemed like he was attempting to help the sereitei more than the side he chose to join after all. He had his reasons, but he would dare not discuss them with the likes of this particular Shinigami, though it should be quite obvious why he's doing it. He wanted to keep his wife out of harms way as best he could from his current location. Though there wasn't much he could do.

Her? Leave with the Hougyoku? how would that be possible? It's Aizen's most prized possession. There's no way he would give it up so willingly. But now as she thinks about it, she recalls Shukumei saying something about Aizen using the orb to distort Ryouji. So the same method will apply to her? She became worried when he mentioned about being unified with her Hollow. She vaguely remembers when it took over her due to her emotional state when Shukumei was pretending to be evil, and it wasn't pretty.

"I may not have control of my hollow, but it seems better than being unified.. I may be understanding this wrong, but from what I've gathered, you're saying that once the process is over, I'll no longer be who I am now.. Not Yuri.. Not a hollow.. Just a being that is basically a fusion of the two.." And that's what scared her the most. What if the process goes wrong and something unforeseen goes on? How could Ryouji guarantee things will go smoothly? Then again, if it was for the good of saving not only the Soul Society but her friends as well, she would allow it to happen.

"I'm very confident is Captain Shukumei and the others. And for being labeled as a 'traitor', you seem to care about the safety of those who still live there." It made a small smile appear on Yuri's face. It was a relief to know that he wasn't fully corrupted. Then again, maybe he wasn't at all. "Then again.. I think I'm beginning to understand why you've chosen your path.. Well, the only things I can do right now is survive this process you keep mentioning and have faith you'll keep any unforeseen events from happening.. Beneath that cold exterrior... Is the Captain I was so proud of."

Faith? She had faith in him? What good would faith do, it hasn't gotten him anywhere prior to this day, he doesn't believe in faith, nor did he ever want to. It was such a trivial thing. Truth be told he didn't care whether she lived or died from the process of unification, however he knew that she was far to stubborn to give into death.

"Faith is such a useless pathetic emotion. Its never gotten me anywhere before, and it won't now. I risked my life to save you weaklings and look what has become of me now! I am the darkness, ruler of shadows. Your faith is misplaced, child. For if I wanted to, I could remove your head from your neck before you have the chance to unsheathe your weapon."

Her words were chosen quite carefully, he sensed it in the way she spoke, she was almost certain that Ryouji wouldn't ever let anything happen to her. Could she still truly trust in him that much...but for what reason, the last time these two meet, Ryouji left her on death's cold doorstep, yet now she still has faith in him two years later? What of his sister...what did she think of him and Retsu, what of her.

"Cold exterior huh?"

Ryouji chuckled before extending his right hand. From the darkness, a sheathed sword manefested into his grasp and he gripped it tightly. However his chuckling stopped soon as he felt the presense of a strong individual. It couldn't be Shukumei so soon could it. As it grew closer, Ryouji tossed the blade he was holding in his left hand into the air quickly.

"Defend yourself. For its your fault we are in this current predicament. They sense your spiritual pressure and they've come to devour it"

Ryouji moved the sword he manefested moments ago into his left hand and gripped the hilt tightly and quickly unsheathed the blade. A B-Classed hollow immerged from the sand before him. A slight smirk formed to his face as he turned his back to her. Now the time comes Yuri, for me to see what you've learned over the two years I've allowed you to live. Do not disappoint me.

How was it her fault? It's not like she's trying to gain any attention in this place. Though it was her first time here, she wasn't that stupid. Then again, based on the Hollow that they are to face, it could probably sense repressed spiritual pressure. However, Yuri was thinking about what he said. Would he really try to kill her? She understands he has the power to do the task. The thing is, why boast it if he wasn't even going to do it? The Shinigami would comment on it, but it could cause her former captain to actually attempt his threat. "Heh.. Right Captain.. I know you can. Still, I'll trust your judgment no matter how cruel it can be."

Seeing Ryouji unsheathe his sword, Yuri follows suit by unsheathing her Zanpakutou. "It's as much as your fault as it is mine, you know. You could of teleported us closer to the building or it it." She said it in a teasing tone, hoping he would understand she was trying to joke around about the situation at hand before becoming serious. "Joking aside, I know we'll win. It'll be like times before where we fought side by side. Well, technically we didn't.. But that doesn't matter. I'm just happy we're together."

Transforming her Zanpakutou into its Shikai form. Instead of waiting for the Hollow to attack first, Yuri flash steps past Ryouji, pressing her foot into the sand to jump up, slashing downward at the hollow. It may come a surprise to him since usually she would wait and then attack. She does have her reasons after all. If I can see what this Hollow does, I'll be more prepared.. However, I must be careful. I can't afford to lose!

Ryouji lifted his head slowly as she flash stepped past him to begin the assault on the hollow. Ryouji whom had been preparing to strike at the Hollow stopped upon watching Yuri enter the battle. Her strength has indeed increased since the last time they met in battle. However he was bored with what was happening already and thus decided to end the battle himself as quickly as possible. He glanced down at his second Zanpakuto and decided to sheath it. As his original Zanpakuto fell down, he grabbed it quickly. Tucking his second Zanpakuto into the sash around his waist, Ryouji unsheathed Shinkuoremasu.

"Getsuga Shouten"

With a quick wave of his blade, Ryouji unleashed a huge wave of dark energy which hurled toward both Yuri and the hollow. He turned his back slowly and shoved Shinkuoremasu back into its sheath.

"Sleep well...Yuri"

Ryouji gripped the sheathed Zanpakuto within his left hand and waited. The countdown had begun in which Yuri will succumb to the darkness within her and become a new being of power.

As Yuri landing back on the ground on her feet, she was oblivious to her former Captain's intentions As soon as she turned around to see what he was up to, her eyes widened from seeing him unleash his attack. It made her remember what happened those two years ago when e nearly killed her. Since there was nothing she could do, she took the attack, skidding back a little. She soon drops down onto her knees and then falls onto the sand (or floor. Whatever xD). "C..Captain.. That was..uncalled for.."

Now that she was unconscious, there was no way she could do anything to stop what was about to happen.
