The School Year Begins

[Azumi Onigata]

After exiting the bus, The blonde haired mysterious woman ran while holding on to a hand, dragging this person with her across the street as she approached the school. She looked at it and smirked. She was so happy to be back, As school gave her something to do, rather than to sit around doing nothing but taking care of her significant other. As she walked the school grounds.

Someone called out to her... "HEY AZUMI!!!" She stopped in her tracks and turned and faced the direction in which she heard the voice come from. With the summer break, it feels like its been forever since she's seen anyone from her school group, yet then again it has been an interesting summer all around...

::Enter Flash Back::
Since she lived on her own, Azumi pretty much kept to herself the entire summer. Until one day, when there was a knock on her door late at night. She walked to the door and opened it, and a male pretty much fell into her arms, covered in blood. She looked down at the face only to realize who it truly was and her heart sank.

"What happened to you...and how did you find me. I have always been good at hiding my spiritual pressure, but we just keep running into each other. Did that quincy girl kick your ass?"

She looked down at him before pulling him inside and kicking the door shut. She helped him over to the sofa and pushed him down onto the sofa. She then hurried to gather towels before going back to give him the attention he needed. She lifted him up and placed his head in her lap.

She licked the towel and began to wipe the blood from his face and mouth.

"You look like hell, but even still you always manage to come back to me. I should beat you up too after threatening me the last time we met. Shame on you, now tell me what happened"

The male opened his eyes and looked up at Azumi who was smiling. Perhaps she was enjoying this to much herself. He looked away before sighing heavily.

"I didn't mean to threaten you...and I think you know that. I had to keep up my guise. I was constantly being watched...it doesn't matter anymore. I did what I had to do to make sure that they escaped. If it wasn't for my hollow I most certainly would have died back there..."

He coughed before attempting to sit up. However she forced him to lay his head back down on her lap by pulling him back down by his hair. She looked at him and shook his head and laughing.

"Now you have nowhere to go and you've come crawling back to me have you? You know you hurt my feelings when you pretended not to remember that promise you made to me. Then I knew you were lying when you said my name. You selfish bastard, don't you know playing with a woman's heart is bad for your health!"

The male rolled his eyes before sighing again he placed his hand on his on his stomach before closing his eyes. He did in fact remember the promise, it was just hard for him.

"Shut up...I intend to keep the promise...and stay here with you. I have nowhere else to go. My life is 'over' in a matter of speaking. Perhaps I can start a new life, here with you..."

::End Flashback::

She kept pulling the arm and dragging the significant other with her everywhere she went, as she got aquainted with old friends from school years passed. It was rather odd, being older than most of the inhabitants of the school combined. She was happy pretending to be a normal Karakura Town High School student. Yet he was forced to stand there as she gossiped about her summer and was telling everyone of the events that took place...possibly the biggest event of her life, yet she and the others continued gossiping about their summer.

"I can't believe you did that...you're so young! Getting married at your age is unheard of!"

She giggled and hugged on to the males arm and rested his arm on his bicep. It was actually quite hard to believe, the particular male looked like he could have been a teacher and his at his height he towered over just about everyone in the school.

"It doesn't matter. We've known each other since we were kids. We love each other and thats all that matters! Anyway what have you guys been up to?"

It seemed like the perfect end to a somewhat disasterous summer for her. Getting married wasn't really a big deal, but the fact that the love of her life kept his promise is what matters most. She looked up at him and noticed how he was staring around like he was waiting for something to happen.

"Well introduce us Azumi!!"

She coughed slightly before poking his cheek and giggling. He glanced down at her and sighed before shaking his head. Honestly he wondered how girls could be so...so damn girly. An enigma of a species thats for sure.

"Introduce yourself!"

The male glanced down at her as if it was really necessary for him to do it, though he didn't want to seem like a rude person on his first day of school. He turned and faced the other girls in this supposed group and bowed slightly.

"How do you do, my name is Ryouji...Ryouji Onigata..."

Azumi and the other girls shrieked. Apparently they found it to be quite entertaining. Seems like the new boy on campus was already attracting unwanted attention. He scoffed and tried to walk off but she yanked him right back. So he was forced to listen to the nonsense that women constantly gossiped about which to him was absolutely worthless.

[Shukumei Onigata]

Walking along the sidewalk outside of the school. Shukumei glanced up and sighed heavily. She did not like the fact that she was forced to blend in with the humans. While very intellegent in her own right, doing home work was not something that she looked forward to doing. She stopped and turned toward Yuri and Ronin.

"THIS SUCKS!!!"

She was visibly angry, She would much rather be staying at the candy shop rather than attending the school but it was ordered for her to blend in and try to find this special girl.

"Head-Captain Yamamoto said that we have to try to protect the city now that Shiva is back. The Original Six are slated to return or at least thats what Shiva said, I have a bad feeling about all of this. Ahyway, we're going to be stuck here for a while so we might as well get use to it. It still sucks!"

She looked down at the briefcase she was carrying. and tosed it over her shoulder while keeping a tight hold on the briefcase.

"Anyway you and I are students who transfered from a different school. My hobbies are include being in the karate club, and culinary arts, I...really want to walk into the street and hope for the worst"

She rubbed the back of her head, perhaps she was being overly dramatic, but it just didn't feel right that she's forced to do this. While gladly excepting the mission she had no idea it would have to go this far.

"Our transcripts were already taken care of by Tessai and Kisuke. So we should be able to slip in undetected and unknown by anyone. Remember try to blend in. I can only imagine how those two must have acted.."

Kisuke and Tessai (whom is dressed like a woman) enter the school in order to help Shukumei and Yuri sucessfully infiltrate the school by posing as their parents.

Tessai throws a fit about having to move, yet is carrying a hankerchief around crying that 'she' is so proud of their 'little girls' for doing so well in school

"Our girls are growing up so fast. Already in their second year of high school. What more could a mother ask for I'm so proud of them.."

He placed the hankerchief to the sunglasses in which he was still wearing wiping away the tears.

Shukumei slumped over in a depressed fashion. This was almost to much for her to deal with. It was honestly quite annoying. She didnt know the first thing that teenagers do. However she did buy a book before she left the soul society titled "Teenagers: The Human addition"

"Well more than likely they fabricated everything so we should been in the same classes. I made sure that they put photography as one of your favorite clubs. Now you will have a reason to use that camera and take as many pictures as you like. Any questioins?"

Shukumei glanced down at her attire and just wasn't satisfied, it was just like before, the damn high school uniform bothered her most. Although she did like the short skirt and would see fit to make alterations to make it a little shorter. Without her favorite hair tie being destroyed in the fake battle she had with Ryouji in the Hueco Mundo, she now chose to wear her hair down. She leaned against a wall looking down at Yuri.

[Yuri Nakayama]

Yuri was just in shock over what just happened. Were people really gonna believe that? It just seemed.. so strange. Watching her 'mother and father' walk off, it got Yuri to thinking about as who her real parents could be. As she was thinking, she wasn't paying attention to where she was going. Then when hearing Shukumei scream, it startled her, making her jump back and scream as well. Unable to keep her balance, Yuri falls into a seated position a bit hard, whining a little. "D..don't do that! Loud noises really bother me.." It was hard to tell if she was joking or being serious. Before getting up, she looks to her outfit, tilting her head to the side.

"I don't like it at all.." Yuri soon stands up, tugging at the skirt a little, trying to make it move down a little closer to her knees. She wasn't used to swearing skirts and it was obvious. Why couldn't it of been a longer skirt that goes below the knees? That makes perfect sense, but short skirts? What were the school people trying to do? She then gets up on her feet, dusting herself off. "I don't think fitting in here will be that hard. This place..seems oddly familiar to me.."

[van]

Nori caught up with the others, not wanting to go to school. He saw how much they disliked the idea and smirked.

"Good, you guys will fit in just fine, especially you..."

He gave a light smile to Ronin's Captain, both of them having gotten along well because they think the same way. He leaned against the wall beside her, sighing.

"Where is he!? He said he would meet us here... Damn it Ronin! You'd be late to your own damn funeral! AHH!!"

Nori sighed, knowing that him losing it was entertaining to anyone other than him, but Ronin was good at being late, VERY good.

[Ronin]

Ronin had over slept, mostly because he incinerated his alarm clock when it rang. Then he ran even later as he tried to look nice for school, now that Yuri would be there. He would never admit that's why he was doing it, but was also naive in thinking no one noticed. He fixed his hair, soon going to meet up with the others. He skidded around the corner, seeing them as he looked to them.

"Eheh....I had a minor disagreement with my alarm clock.... sorry..."

He then looked to his Captain, a serious expression appearing on his face.

"Captain, it your lieutenant slot still open...."

He waited for her answer, moving next to Yuri. He gave her hand a quick squeeze and then let go, hoping for a favorable reply from his Captain.

[Shukumei Onigata]

She glared at Ronin and scoffed. She's having a meltdown and he's worried about his position. She fluffed her hair before placing her right hand on her hip. Before looking away from him. She was forced to look back and answer her question even though she wasn't done freaking out about how this whole school thing worked.

"Yes its still open, and it will remain open until someone learns to listen or I find a suitable replacement. Though I could always repromote Hinamori. Though she hasn't been the same since Aizen betrayed us all. I tell you what, I will reinstate you as lieutenant under two conditions. The first being that you start following my orders to the letter. By that I mean doing exactly what I tell you and not doing it your own way until the job gets done. Two and probably more important is...well when I think of it I will tell you"

She turned her back to the two of them having just remember what Nori was saying. She pointed at him in anger. What the hell does he mean by that? She was highly annoyed and she was ready to hurt someone.

"What the hell does that mean?!"

For a second she thought about it and shook her head. Maybe she doesn't need to know after all. It juts hit her after all this time that she wasn't acting as normally as she thought she would be. Usually she's always calm and collected. Perhaps it was because she wasn't use to having a mission without Ryouji here to keep her grounded.

"I'm sorry I have just been feeling weird all day. I can't explain it. Its not nervousness because I never get nervous, its just this funny feeling...and you two!"

She points to Yuri and Ronin before getting serious again.

"GET A ROOM!"

She stomps off around the corner only to see the large plethora of students that are gathered out in the courtyard. She looked around noticing how they were all gathered yet segregated.

"My book said nothing about mating season"

She continued to walk forward before bumping into a human boy who was staring at her weirdly. Perhaps it was because she was kind of tall for a woman. Or was this apart of this whole mating ritual that humans undergo. (Keep in mind she never really interacted with other humans aside from Nori and Ronin)

"I'm not interested in mating with you or any male for that matter"

She pushed him down onto the ground and walked around him before noticing someone that she does remember! She walks up to the blonde haired ex-shinigami and patted her shoulder. At that very same instance she saw a male jump into a row of bushes, obviously this too was apart of the human mating ritual.

"Azumi Kusanagi is that you?"

The way she wore her hair was proof enough that it was. She instantly throws her arms around the poor girl and squeezes her to death.

[Azumi Onigata]

Azumi turned around and noticed Shukumei and screamed in a way that only girls could shriek. She embraced her old friend and was jumping up and down at the same time.

"My goodness you look fantastic!! What are you doing here, wait wait don't tell me, you're on a miss..."

Azumi looked around at that point noticing that her girlfriends were staring at her so she giggled to play so she wouldn't expose some unintentional information.

"Nevermind that. it really has been a long time. I take it that this is serious business your on. I have so much to tell you but first you have to tell me how you have been?"

At that point she noticed that the expression on Shukumei's face had changed drastically, so it was then that Shukumei told Azumi what 'happened' to Ryouji.

"Thats insane..."

She turned around and looked only to notice that her husband was no longer standing near her. She looked around for him before Shukumei pointed to the bushes.

"Oh...don't mind him he's just a little shy. I have no idea why he's acting this way now!!!"

She said it loudly wanting him to hear it It was at that instance that a crushed piece of paper hit the back of her head and she picked it up and read it to herself 'She doesn't know I'm alive'

"Oh my gosh!! I...so have to give you guys are tour of the school!!. Are you here alone or are others with you? Yeah we can hang out like we use to and we can almost be like...sisters!"

She laughed nervously before staring back at the bushes. How was she to break the news to Shukumei that her brother really was alive and that she was kind of married to him. Things were certainly getting interesting.

[Yuri Nakayama]

Yuri smiled as Ronin gave her hand a quick squeeze, looking toward him. It was good to see Nori again. It had bee what, two years or something? But wasn't he a bit too old for school? The thought confused her. When she saw Shukumei and Azumi hug, she figured some screaming was about to start. And she was right. As soon as Azumi shrieked, Yuri covered her ears. So she didn't like loud sounds. "My poor ears.. Twice today they've been tormented by loud noises.." Yuri hesitantly heads of to the two girls, rubbing the back of her head. The proper thing to do would be to introduce herself.

"H..hello there. I'm Yuri Nakayama. N..nice to meet you." She wasn't nervous or scared. It's that her ears were still ringing from having to put up with high pitched noises. Well, not exactly high pitched. "It's..nice to meet you."

[van]

Nori moved toward the three ladies to introduce himself. As he did, he noticed a young guy try to grab Shukumei's ass, obviously on some kind of dare. He quickly stepped forward, knocking the kid into a trash can. He then looked at the bush, something catching his attention.

"I'm Nori, pleased to meet you. I'm assuming you are close to Ronin's Captain..."

He was a little older than the students, but Nori was interning there as part of a program, he was interning to be a teacher and as such, was required to sit in on classes and observe. He shifted his eyes to Ronin, who was slowly making his way to them. He shook his head, leaning on the wall near the others.

[Ronin]

Ronin made his way to the others, slipping on his sun glasses as he walked from the shade. He stood with the others, looking to the blond. He tilted his head to the side, then leaned against the wall.

"I'm Ronin, nice to meet you."

Ronin wasn't big on words, but if she knew his Captain, he knew he had to say something. He looked at Yuri from behind his sun glasses, still leaning against the wall. He hated school, it was one aspect of his life he would not EVER miss.

[Azumi Onigata]

Azumi looked around and smiled before waving innocently to everyone in the group. The blue haired girl made her wonder if she was okay but she tried not to think much of it.

"I am Azumi, incase you didn't hear it before. Its very nice to meet you all. I've known her for quite sometime, probably before any of you were born. Ermm.. Its unfortunate what happened to Ryouji, I want a piece of the ***** that did that to him. Its really good to have you here. Don't worry they aren't as strick as the academy was. In fact its possibly the polar opposite"

She glanced out of the corner of her eye and saw Ryouji still ducking and hiding behind the bushes. She shook her head and stumbled backwards and fell down on her butt on purpose to destract everyone

"Owwie!!"

As everyone turned to look at her, she watched Ryouji stand up and dart off in the opposite directioin toward the school...only to run into a door.

"Oh dear god! THERE IS A DOOR THERE!!! Oops I'm sorry for yelling Yuri. We are going to have a girls night out and get you some fuzzy earmuffs. Of course you boys are more than welcome to come along if you'd like. This is going to be so much fun. You will even have to meet my husband!"

She giggled and clapped quietly keeping Yuri's hearing in mind. She was really excited, she just had to figure out a way to keep Ryouji from being noticed since they didn't know.

[Shukumei Onigata]

Shukumei chuckled and thought to herself how much Azumi hasn't changed over all this time. She leaned over and grabbed Azumi's hand and helped her up. She sprang up to her feet and posed. Shukumei continued to laugh.

"You haven't changed one bit Azumi, not one bit. I am also glad that we can once again hang out....wait you're married?!?! When did this happen...to whom! Where is he now? I swore I remember a clumsy young blonde saying to me 'If I can't marry Ryouji, I won't marry ever'? Whatever happened to that?

She watched Azumi let out what appeared to be a nervous chuckle and Shukumei rubbed the back of her head and let out a semi nervous chuckle too.

"I can't wait to meet this husband of yours, what say you all, are you up for hanging out with an old friend for the afternoon or do you guys have something else to do?"

She turned and faced Nori, Ronin and Yuri while waiting to here their responses.

[Yuri Nakayama]

Yuri didn't think they had anything important to do. But one thought came to mind. Where were they going to stay? Would it be with Ronin and Nori again? Guess it wouldn't hurt to ask. "I'm pretty much free.. But uh.. Where are we gonna stay? Are we gonna share with Ronin and Nori again?" As Azumi talked about having a husband, she tilted her head to teh side. She looked so young. Then again, Azumi did say that she known Shukumei for a while. Deciding not to push her luck,s he just went along with it.

"It's alright. When I get the chance, I'll explain why it bothers me so much. So, where to?"

[van]

Nori scoffed, looking at the ladies. He patted Shukumei lightly on the shoulder, a slight smirk appearing on his face.

"It would be mean to let you babysit these kids yourself, so I guess I'm in."

He shifted his eyes to Ronin, though he already knew the answer. Since Yuri was going, no doubt Ronin was going to tag along.

[Ronin]

Ronin looked to his Captain, shrugging lightly. He promised to do as she asked, though she did not technically ask him. When Yuri decided to go, he smirked lightly. He moved a little closer to Yuri, still leaning on the wall.

"Sure, you guys can stay at my place, got nothing but room... Night out sounds like fun also... I'm in."

He looked at Yuri, his eyes still hidden behind his sunglasses. He still was not fully sure how she felt about him, and decided it best not to do anything too different until he knew. He scratched the back of his head, something he did when nervous.

[Azumi Onigata]

Azumi was just about to shriek but kept in mind of Yuri's sensitive hearing, so instead she opted for a silent yay with a quiet clap. She gave Shukumei another hug as the school bell rang.

"Fantastical! It'll be fun I promise. I will even treat you guys to dinner. How about that, Shukumei I never understand how someone your size could pack away food. Do you have a pouch in that tummy of yours that stores food for the winter?"

She giggled playful before stopping almost instantly upon seeing the way she was being stared at by her close friend.

"After school lets meet here. Then we can go get something to eat, and hang! You can of course tell me why you're here and I'll help you out as best I can. See ya then!!"

She waves and runs off toward the school as the bell rings.

(OOC:We can cut to the end of the school day just to make things move along quicker)

[Shukumei Onigata]

(Going ahead and skipping through the entire school day just to make things go a bit faster this first day)

Interacting with so many humans, throughout the school day was indeed...the final bell had rung and finally the first of many school days was over. Shukumei emerged from the school with a blank expression on her face. Wondering just how these kids were going to apply any of this stuff to real life. In all honesty she kind of liked learning...it was a different and kind of refreshing all the same.

As she walked passed the large group of students who poured from the building. She stopped along the side walk and waited for everyone else. As she stood there she took in how humans reacted to one another. The way they spoke and the body language they used. Perhaps this was bound to be a good experience for her all together.

Yet her mind wondered back to earlier in the day when Azumi revealed she was married...who could it be though. She remembers vividly the early days at the academy. How she use to have the fairy tale dreams of weddings, and marrying a prince, the man of her dreams. To know that she married someone else was kind of awkward for her to say in the least. Having lost her brother a week and a couple of days ago only to come back to the city and realized that possibly her very first friend from the soul society was living out her a normal life. Well Shukumei figured she could be happy for her anyway.

After standing for a few minutes with no one in sight. She sat down on the side of the sidewalk and waited. She looked around and reached into her briefcase and pulled out her spirit phone and fliped it open.

"No hollow activity whatsoever. Something still doesn't feel right about any of this. I figured Shiva would have attempted to recruit more hollows...or at least finished what Ryouji started."

That too was something that bothered her. If Ryouji really wasn't evil, how or why could he have gathered souls...or did he say he did. It was all so confusing. However she thought it best not to worry about it now and just focus on having fun while she could. So she waited for everyone to meet.

[Yuri Nakayama]

Yuri had seen Shukumei, heading over to her. Right now, her mind was spinning. Learn this, learn that.. Page so and so for examples.. How was she expected to remember all of it? Sure there were notes, but she's so out of it she doesn't remember if she took them or not. When stopping at Shukumei, Yuri goes to say something that could catch her offguard. "Headed home, right? We'll walk together. More safety in numbers, you know." Then, Yuri seemed to of froze in her tracks, realizing what she said. "Wait.. Going home? Nah, we're hanging out with..Azumi, right? Then Why did I.."

Maybe it was a memory from when she used to be alive. Probably to Shukumei, it may of sounded like gibberish of someone who was mentally tired from a very long day. "Er.. Sorry.. Guess the first day back took more out of me than I thought. So uh, still waiting for Ronin, Nori, and Azumi?"

[van]

Nori walked up to the two quietly, not to scare them, but he always walked quietly. He places a hand on each of their shoulders, as a friend would do as a greeting.

"Ladies... It seems I am the first of the guys to show up... no shock as some guy picked a fight with Ronin... I was so proud, he was actually going to walk away, said he had someone he wanted to hang out with..."

He smirked, looking to Yuri. It was obvious who Ronin was in a hurry to see, but Nori decided not to verbally say it.

"But then the ass broke his sun glasses.... BIG mistake... Ronin should be along in a few seconds... it didn't look like it was going to take long..."

He sat down next to Shukumei, sighing lightly. When was Ronin going to learn, though the fact he was going to blow off the fight in the first place did say something.

[Ronin]

Ronin walked up to them, his pupils a raging inferno. His favorite sun glasses were broken, though he did beat the money to replace them out of the kid that broke them. He was grumbling as he walked up to them, his expression softening as he saw Yuri. He walked to them, shifting his eyes to Nori and his Captain before looking at Yuri.

"Sorry I'm late... I had an issue with a kid that didn't know what the words 'I don't want to fight' mean..."

He was expecting a lecture from his Captain, possibly a smack upside the head. He shrugged, sitting beside Yuri as he waited, both for the lady that invited them out, and for the smack from his Captain.

[Azumi Onigata]

After struggling in the hallway, Azumi and Ryouji were fighting quietly amongst each other. He truly did not want to meet the others again. Or at least not let him see their faces. So the couple came up with a compromise. Azumi walked through the door and Ryouji followed, with a book in front of his face so no one would notice him. Although he had no intentions of reading this said book, it was more of a cover to keep him from being discovered. The two approached the groups and Azumi waved and posed in typical fashion

"Sorry we're late, we uh...had to discuss somethings hehe. Everyone this is my husband! He doesn't want anyone to know his name, he's just really shy and cautious. Don't mind him,. I hope everyone is hungry. Honey, say hi to everyone!"

Without saying a word, he kept the book which covered his face and head completely upward and held up a peace sign. He really didn't know what to do that would cause him not to be discovered.

"Don't be so stupid! I am so sorry, I never knew he was this shy toward people in general. He seemed to be fine this morning. Oh well don't mind him. He doesn't mean to be rude"

Ryouji shook each of their hands as he was 'told to do' by Azumi, yet he was a bit skeptical when it came to the final hand he had to shake to get 'aquainted' with. It was his sister's hand she was forcing him to shake and honestly he didn't want to. Eventually he moved his hand over in Shukumei's direction...

[Shukumei Onigata]

Shukumei giggled at the fact that this husband person used a book to cover his face. In some odd way, she know she's seen that before but she couldn't put her finger on where. For now she didn't think to dwell much on it. She pushed herself up to a standing position and took the mysterious bookworm by the hand. The second their palms touched, Shukumei's eyes widened, it was just a weird feeling that came over her, much stronger than what she was already feeling prior to the bell ringing this morning for school. She let go of his hands quickly and dropped down onto her knees as if she had just been winded. She placed her hands on the ground to keep her upper body supported as she sat there.

"I'm...sorry, I just...felt really dizzy and weak for a second..."

Her heart rate was through the roof and she was breathing heavily. Why was she feeling this way and who was this man Azumi married. It was kind of ridiculous that his entire identity was hidden behind a book. She stood up and dusted herself off. She giggled nervously before staring back at the man with the book.

"So lets go find a place to eat, I'm starved!!!"

She trotted off around the corner in hopes to pretend like whatever happened didn't happened. Yet still as she put on a silly face and expression she couldn't help but wonder what it was that made her feel like that.
