After carrying Shukumei and Shi from the battlefields across the town, Ryouji finally reached Urahara's shop. It was kind of late in fact now it was almost morning now. It was still weird that Yuri wasn't with Shizune. Right now though, the important thing would be to get Azumi the help she needs.
After running through the halls still carrying both Shi and Shukumei. He finally came across Tessai and Urahara.
"Shukumei needs help...she's badly wounded. Tessai can you help her?"
Nodding in approval. Ryouji placed Shukumei down on the floor and left the room for her to be attended to. She was to strong willed to stay down for long. She's always been like that and that was what he admired most about his sister. Now that Shukumei was getting the help she needed, He needed to bring Azumi and Megumi here as well..
In the middle of thinking of how he could get this done quickly he finally realized that he was still carrying Shi on his shoulder. He glanced over and saw that she was hugging on to him tightly.
"Uhh...Shi?"
When she didn't answer he began to wonder why the hell she was clinging to him the way she was. He rubbed the back of his head as he stood there.
"Shi..you know if Azumi saw this she'd probably destroy you right?"
When he didn't receive and answer he just continued to stand there. Its not as if she was heavy, it was just awkward for him to have a random woman latched on to him like she's never seen him before in her life. He just sighed and stood there. He patted her on her back as if that was going to make her release him any quicker.

Ronin landed directly in front of Ryouji in a crouching position, not bothering to lift his head up. He relayed the entire message, emphasizing the word Quincey. He then got to his feet, about to leave the room when he stopped.
"I do not care about what happened between you and this girl, what I care about is Yuri. I want her safe, so make sure that happens first and foremost."
Normally this would be where Ronin listened to Ryouji bark and then bark back in return. Instead however, he flash stepped away, heading to where he felt Yuri. He was going to make sure she remained uninjured, no matter what.

After noticing that her father was noticing that she was clinging to him. She looked up and released him. She blushed a bit knowing he'd take it the wrong way, but it was to be expected. Even though he was still wearing his mask, she was still happy that she got to hug him at least once in her life. Now that her aunt was getting the attention she needed, she needed to explain everything that went down. She was worried for her aunt but she was always stubborn and knew that she would pull through fine.
"Mister Ryouji, I feel I should explain everything to you before you go to meet your Quincy friend. Lady Yuri and I were following the spiritual pressure of Ronin and some other shinigami so we followed it and we watched them fight. An Arrancar appeared Ronin handed Yuri over to this other Shinigami and swore that he'd come after. I know I don't know everything that occurs here, but wouldn't have made more sense for him to entrust her safety to me? I would never do anything to directly jeopardize anyone's life. I just want everyone to know that I can be trusted and I'll be on the battlefield with all of you when we confront Zetsumei"
Shi lowered her head and sighed. She was a little worried about Lady Yuri, but if her father was going to face a Quincy to get her back, then there was no doubt in her mind that he would do what it takes to ensure her safety"
"Please be careful out there. I don't want to lo...I mean get hurt."
She nodded before turning away from her father. She glanced down at her locket and clinched it tightly in her hand while walking off. Before she got to far away, she was called by her father, so she stopped and glanced back at him. It was then for the first time she could almost feel how angry he was. The fact that he was wearing his hollow mask didn't make her feel comfortable.

Even though he called her and forced her to stop before she got to far away, Ryouji was visibly pissed off, not only did that fool give him a semi-lecture, but he was also the one responsible for it all.
"I'm going to get her back, of that I promise to you. The nerve of that boy. Downplaying the situation when he caused it all. I'll deal with him later. I cannot continue sitting by while he does whatever he wants. It ends today."
Ryouji gripped his sheath tightly in his left hand while looking away from Shi but only for a moment. When he heard how she felt about the situation, not feeling trusted by the lot of them. He really didn't know what he could say to her. He's had that same problem before, although it was planned.
"I trust you Shi, in my eyes you are far more capable then some of us. This is why I am asking you to go back to Yuri's apartment and bring Azumi and Megumi here. With Shukumei out, and Ronin being his usual moronic self, you are the only one I can trust with this. In return I will return Yuri here once I've dealt with this issue."
Ryouji approached Shi and placed his hand on her shoulder for reassurance before turning away from her. He knew something of the sort would happen eventually perhaps it was time to finally confront the Quincy. He left the shop, to meet this Quincy in the fields outside of the city just like in the cryptic message Ronin brought to him. Trap or no trap, Yuri was a vital and valuable captain and member of their group.

As Ryouji was taking her back to the others, she just rested in his arms. She couldn't think of a time where she felt as bad as she does now. When she heard him ask all his questions, she might as well come out with it though she would rather keep it a secret. Then again, if if she didn't tell him, he would eventually find out on his own. He's known her for quite some time and could tell when and if she's hiding something. "That Shinigami.. is Shin.. You remember him, right? He seems displeased with us sending souls to Soul Society..because we don't give them time to say goodbye to their loved ones.. I tried to reason with him, but.. he didn't see it the way I did."
At least with him going at a slow pace, she didn't feel quite as sick. Here would come the hard part. Telling him that her inner hollow had devoured another hollow. "Somehow.. Shin can control Hollows. There was one room,, that stored not only Hollows, but Gillians as well. Well they're still hollows but.. you get the idea. he had pushed me in and I had to fight to survive. I was doing alright until they started attacking at once." Just the thought of it made her shiver. It was a traumatic event even if it was already done with. "As far as I know, you might be smelling my blood. I was unconscious after a few Ceros hit and that's when my Hollow took control in order to keep us.. well it, alive. Then..it did something strange.. It.." As she tried to explain, she started coughing. It took all she had to keep herself from not losing her stomach. After she had settled down, she just relaxed a little, closing her eyes.
"It devoured a Gillian." How would he take it? Would he think of her as being strange? Regardless, he has always been there for her and certainly this couldn't break the bond that they have. Besides, it was something she couldn't control. "We then managed to escape, it started a rampage in town. I managed to gain control before it attempted to devour a soul. The rest..is a blank. All I know is that I woke up with you carrying me.."

Ryouji wasn't sure he heard her correctly. Her hollow devoured a Gillian. Her hollow is nothing like he's ever seen, its so powerful. How could he deal with this. At this rate, if she ever lost control again, there is no telling what the hollow might do. It was a terrifying thought. Even though he now knew why she smelled the way she did, he couldn't get over it. What was Shin hoping to gain from all of this and more importantly, what can Yuri do to keep from losing herself to her own hollow.
"I wasn't even aware of how much trouble your Hollow causes you Yuri. As your mentor, I should have been more attentive to you. I see now that I wasn't attentive enough. I see now why you fear using your mask."
Never has he heard of such issues with an inner hollow. His hollow was strong, but Yuri's hollow is in a league all on its own and it angered him that there was nothing he could do to help her with the situation. He feels so useless, knowing he can't help the only person he's ever taken under his wing.
"With all of what's going on, we will have some downtime until Shukumei is back on her feet. That leaves you in charge of the group. They need you now more than ever. I've decided that there is something that I myself must do before we meet with Zetsumei once again. For now keep what happened quiet, that kind of knowledge is dangerous and there is no telling who or what may attempt to use your hollow against you."
He hated the fact that now was the time to do what he should have done ages ago. If he wanted to be in this fight and be able to contribute seriously, then this was the right time for him to disappear for a little while.

Why was he blaming himself? Well, it sounded like it, anyway. He didn't know because she didn't want him to know or anyone for that matter. The only one who sort of knew was Shiva but that was because of her studying her during a training session. Still, she just knows that the process is reversed: The longer she wears the mask, the more risk she takes of the Hollow taking over. Maybe she should mention that to him as well. "Don't feel bad about it.. I didn't want anyone to know about it. My..Hollow I mean. Each time I wore the mask, the more it became clear.. I do have a time limit.. It just doesn't work like it should. You know.. Only wear it a certain amount of time before the mask breaks. Mine.. It's how long I have control."
She has no idea how it got like this. Not like it matters now. She had to find some way of stopping it. For now, she would have to keep her distance from everyone. At least if something does happen, they wouldn't be hurt. "I just know that..the recent lost of control had its consequences.. My time for wearing the mask has shortened. Also, I have no idea if it will try to devour more Hollows if it had the chance.." He was right. It needed to be kept a secret for now. You never know who could be listening. It was a scary thought. Still, after hearing everything, he was leaving her n charge of everyone? It seemed like a huge risk. She just smiled for a moment. Even with her Hollow causing such turmoil for her, it felt nice for him to give her such a task. "Thanks for not thinking different of me. N..Not that I thought you would! I'm just saying with all that happened! Uh.. Hehe.. I'm jut saying it's nice to hear it once in a while."
One thing was still troubling her. If he could tell just by smell what happened to her, would Shukumei and the others be able to as well? If they knew she was hiding something, they'd do whatever it took to milk the information out. "One question though.. What if they asked what happened to me like you did? I mean, the whole 'wreak of hollow and blood' thing? Well, the blood part is simple but.. You get what I mean..Don't you?"

Ronin appeared in a burst of fire, having just returned from giving his report to his Captain. He cracked his neck in a slow circle, looking around the room. He knew Ryouji would probably have something to say to him, but this time, he was not going to take it. his eyes changed from their brown color to his red demon eyes. He shifted his eyes to Yuri, glad that she was alright. As a Captain, Yuri knew that Ronin's mission required him to leave her in Shin's care in an attempt to uncover information on his agenda. That was his mission, the mission that his Captain sent him to complete. He knew that Yuri would understand, but Ryouji was another story. He knew that Ryouji would 'give him a piece of his mind', but he had some things to say to the Rogue as well.

Ryouji closed his eyes and shook his head. What a marvelous time for the pyromaniac to show his face. Saves him the trouble of coming to look for him later. One thing he never understood was why he had to practically announce his arrival on the scene with whole flames. Whatever happened to the good ol flash step? Not that it mattered regardless.
"Someone's ego is burning!"
Ryouji placed Yuri down on her own feet before turning around to face the 'demon'. It really doesn't matter how much he attempts to intimidate someone with the birthday party parlor tricks, The Darkness will not be intimidated. Especially by a human of all things. Ryouji realized something while staring at him...was it all even worth it. Why should he get angry and threaten this mortal when he'll just do what he always does anyway.
"You aren't even worth it. Why waste the words... it's pointless to bother speaking to a muscle head fool;I have better things to do with my time. Shukumei should be back on her feet soon. I will try my hardest to come back before she returns."
Ryouji turned his back to the two of them and flash stepped into the candy store to leave for the place where he and Shinkuoremasu can endure their final and possibly most biggest problem.

Ronin shook his head upon hearing the words of the rogue. He had no idea about anything as usual. He shrugged, deciding to call out to him as he was about to flash step.
"I don't expect you to understand, it has been a long time since you have had orders or given them out. But go on, leave. Don't have a civilized talk with me. I was going to burry the hatchet, and not in your back for once. But it seems Yuri was wrong about how 'noble' and 'kind' you are."
He walked to Yuri, making sure she was alright. He then headed to the door, getting ready to leave.
"He does not want me here Yuri, so do not ask me to stay. It would be better if I just left. I did not choose this life, it was thrust upon me. I wish that Shinigami never gave me her powers, then maybe he would not despise me so much..."
He walked outside the door, deciding to sit on the roof for a while. Maybe they were better off without him, Ryouji hated him, his former Captain probably did as well. Yuri would probably side with her mentor, which left him on his own. It was something he was used to, he was always alone. After a few minutes he stood up o the roof, preparing to leave the candy store.

As the two exchanged words,Yuri had looked to them. However, what Ronin had said seemed to of hit her pretty hard. Was he saying he wished he never became a Shinigami? Why would he want that? Isn't that the same thing as saying he wished he never met any of them? She just couldn't muster the strength to say anything as the two men went their separate ways. Always when those two fought, she felt like she was in the middle of it somehow. Like she was suppose to side with one and leave the other to hang and dry. If she didn't say something now, Ronin could leave. Though she really didn't feel like moving, she made her way outside. She had to find him in order to talk to him. As she was looking, she spotted him up on the roof. He looked like he was ready to go. "W..Wait!"
Slowly but surely, she made her way up to the roof, slowly steadying herself. She had to make him realize now wasn't the time to break away from the group even if the two couldn't stand being in the same room. "Look.. I know you have your issues with him.. But now's not the time to split from the group. As for your claim of him not giving or receiving orders.. That's wrong. He..He's given me the role of..leading the group in his absence. You're probably thinking I'm siding with him.. so stop it! Stop thinking that! Though she appeared to look well, she still felt a bit sick from earlier events that took place today.
"He was worried..like I'm sure you were! You..have to understand.. he was just mad that you handed me over to someone he deems as a stranger!" It sounded like she was fussing at him, but she didn't want to come across that way to him. She slowly goes up to him, smiling a little. "I..don't want it to seem like I'm arguing with you. I'm sure you had your reasons and would never think of putting me in immediate danger. He won't see it like that." She soon sits down, looking to the sky. There was so much she wanted to say, but couldn't form the right words. She was going to do the best she could. "When you said you wished that the shinigami didn't give you her powers.. It kinda made my heart sink. It was like you were saying you wished it never happened. If that never happened, we would of never met and.."
They would of never become what they are now. A lot of bad came out of it sure, but what about all the good? Didn't that matter at all? However, if he wanted to go, there was nothing she can do to stop him. All she could tell him was how she felt. "I don't want you to go.. But if you want to, there's nothing I can do to stop you. Don't get me wrong, I want to. But.." She slowly gets up on her feet. She was a bit wobbly at first, but managed to catch her balance. She still couldn't find the right words to say so she hugged him instead. "..What if I did ask you to stay? Would you say yes or still go?"

Ronin shook his head, not looking to her at first. She wanted him to just stop being what he was and fall in line. Though coming from her it was tempting to do it, he was not going to cast himself aside.
"I do not care about him, he seems to think you are better off without me. I don't care, next time I won't hide his existence when my Captain asks for a detailed report. Go back to your mentor. Listen to his plan."
He gave her a light hug, then let her go. He saw her look at him, a slightly hurt look in her eyes. He scoffed, shaking his head.
"Don't worry, I'll be up here when you get back."

How could he say such a hurtful thing? Was he intentionally saying it so she would just leave him alone? Does he realize that if he does tell his captain that himself, herself, and Shukumei would be in trouble? She slowly let go of him and turns her back to him. She didn't want him to see how she felt. "If you tell your captain about him, you'll be not only hurting yourself for withholding the information, but Shukumei and I would get in trouble.. Is your anger toward him that much to where you'd risk us being kicked off the squad?! If..That's what you want, then go ahead. I'm sorry that I couldn't do much more.. I.." She couldn't speak due to her choking up a little. As she regained her composure, she cleared her throat, looking back to him a little, but avoids making eye contact with him.
"If that's the choice you want to make.. Let me know. I'll..make the report myself." With that, she started on her way down to the ground, unsure if he was going to stop her or not.

Ronin stopped her, turning her to face him. So she was taking her mentor's side over his again. Oh well, if that's how it was, so be it.
"Don't worry, I won't say anything. Go back to them, I uhh... need to check in if I have another mission. I'll be back later."
He ruffled her hair, kissing her cheek. He then flash stepped away, heading to his house. If he wasn't wanted there, then he would not be there. Yuri now no longer had to choose, he did it for her. As he sat in his house, he made himself some food. Hopefully he would not be disturbed.

As he left, she extended her hand out to stop him, but it was too late. There was something that was bugging her. He may of said he needed to check in with his captain for another mission, but by now he should have a soul phone. He was just saying that so he could just leave. She just didn't understand. Why did he have to leave like that? It was as if he didn't want to be around her anymore. "Why.. Why am I the one always in the middle? I wasn't taking sides, damn it! I wasn't! I told you that! I told you.." Why did it feel like everything she has every known is starting to crumble right before her? If everything was going to be undone in a single day, what was the point in even trying?
So that was it then. It was all done for. If he wasn't going to stay, then there is nothing she could do to make him change his mind. It just felt all hopeless. How can someone who can barely keep going keep an eye on the others? Regardless of how she's feeling now, she has to put on a happy face and make sure the others were alright. Why did it have to be her? Couldn't Shi of been the one left in command? There's nothing she could do now. Taking a seat, she sighs, looking to the sky once more. "Slowly.. Everything's beginning to change. One of the reasons I fight so hard to stay in control my be gone.. It sounded like he didn't want to be here.."
She thought that would leave the others, but the more she thought about it, the more she realized they all had their own lives. Ryouji had Azumi. Shukumei had her friend. Yuri wanted to say she had Ronin, but from what just happened, she wasn't so sure anymore. Besides, he had Nori. What did he need her for anyway? "I'll go on.. As if nothing happened. It's..all I can do. The gap that already exists.. Will just grow.. Maybe it's better that way. I..just have myself. Maybe it's all I need."
Yuri gets up on her feet, making her way down to the ground. She inhales deeply before exhaling. It was time that she pretended that everything was fine. "Might as well go check on her.." Yuri heads back inside the candy store to check on the progress of Shukumei.

Ronin had traveled to Soul Society to check in with his Captain, seeing if she had another mission for him after staying in his house for a while. After getting chewed out for not having a soul phone, he was told there were no pending missions. After being given a new Soul Phone, he went back to the Candy Store. He sat on the roof, not going inside the shop. He waited on the roof, staring at the sky.
"Hopefully I don't loose this one, Soifon was REALLY pissed this time.... It's not my fault that it got lost..."
