Another School Day

[Yuri Nakayama]

It was hard to believe that four years went by in the blink of an eye. Everything appeared to of settled down when the defeat of Zetsumei was certain. Both the world of the living and Soul Society was safe at last. To be expected, Shi and Megumi had to return to the future. It wouldn't of been right to ask them to stay here when they have people in their time that needs them. Everyone went their separate ways once again, barely keeping up with what the other was doing. After everyone had settled down once again, work could start. When the topic shifted to the Original Six, there was a Captain's meeting to discuss the matter. When it was time to bring up concern of the matter, Yuri decided to chime in. "I have only met them when we went to rescue Azumi some years ago. Only the leader made an attempt to keep us from leaving. I think this may of been our first time on talking about them. Maybe it would be best if some of the captains stay in the world of the living for a while. That way if they do try to do something, we will be there to stop it."

It took a while, but the commander general finally allowed a handful of shingami (standard and captain) go to the real world. They would have to report at the end of the day to make up for staying for so long. Yuri was one of those captains that was allowed to more or less babysit everyone. She wanted to say hello to everyone, but for now, she had to focus on her mission. As usually, she had to blend in with the humans, which wasn't all that bad since she's done it before. However, the two times where she's devoured hollows has caused her personality to change just slightly enough for those around her to notice. Still, it wasn't a drastic change.

As the first day was spent getting supplies for her apartment. Then, when the next day came, she was checking around town. It wasn't before long she came up to the school. It was time for classes to start and Yuri was considering on ignoring it and going on with the mission. Something was telling her to go on and go to class, the small notion of meeting her friends in the back of her mind. Sighing, she gives in, heading into the school building and into the class room. She takes a seat at one of the desk. "..just a normal day, it seems.."

[Shukumei Onigata]

With four years passing, along with her fellow Captain Nakayama, she to was given leave to return to the real world to provide instant protection with the Original Six threat. Though she had been given time to visit her family upon occasion, now that she was stuck here, she kind of wanted to return to the soul society. The she hated coming to school. She was guaranteed to be at least Forty times smarter than the average human, so blending in with them seemed more or less like a social experiment. What made it worse was that her brother hated it just as much as she did, and felt that it was pointless for an entirely different reason.

"Quit your bitching Ryouji! If I have to be here so do you. So what if you aren't with the Gotei Thirteen anymore, if I have to do this crap I'm going to make you do whether you want to or not!"

Just like usual, whenever they meet they have to fight, if it isn't physically then it more than likely is a shouting match between the two. They were far to old now to bicker like this but at least it provided some entertainment. Before he had a chance to finish whatever it was he was going to say, Shukumei reached up and grabbed Ryouji's ear and began to pull him into the school building. With everyone staring at them, she continued to drag him along and it wasn't long until the two of them reached their designated class room. After looking around, Shukumei spotted Yuri and gave a subtle wave.

"Hey Yuri, look who decided to join us for school today. Just like old times, isn't that right Ryouji?"

Now that the two had reached the class room, Shukumei released his ear and went to sit down next to Yuri. Ryouji who assumed he was rather sly turned to leave the class room, but before he could exit, she shot a rather evil glance his way as if she was going to tell Azumi on him or something and it forced him to take the seat next to Yuri on the opposite side. More than likely so she could keep the two away from each other. It was apparent that they were ready to kill each other...again.

"Now we are already to learn stuff we already know! Ugh why do I have to come to school. This stuff is for humans to learn. I...I hate this place, its like a breeding ground for teenage hormones. The only good thing about this place are the uniforms. They hug my figure quite nicely! Yuri you should, stop being so conservative. You are a cute young girl...I'm sure your boy toy wouldn't mind if you hiked your skirt up a little!"

She giggled before turning sideways in her chair, she crossed her legs and leaned into the back of the chair. If their teacher was anything like she was, she could easily use her 'abilities' to keep her out of having to do stupid human homework.

[Ryouji Onigata]

How could this day possibly get any worse! First he was made to come back to this damned school, put up with the human occupants and deal with his annoying sister. Not only that but he was dragged into the classroom and by his ear no less. There was nothing more he would like to do than to grab Shukumei by her neck and squeeze until her eyes popped out of her conceited little skull. He wasn't a member of the Gotei Thirteen any more, why was he being forced to attend school with them. He wanted to retire and stay with his daughter and wife but it just wasn't meant to be. Even now he could imagine that his daughter was crying for him.

"Would you shut your face you conceited mongrel! I don't want to be here and its obvious you don't want to be here either and yet you made me come here and for what! To be tortured just like you are! I have a..."

Ryouji looked around the classroom and noticed that the mostly all of the students were looking at him. He narrowed his eyes and folded his arms across his chest before scoffing and slouching into his chair. This was pure unadulterated, unfabricated bull****

"I hate your guts Shukumei, you're nothing more than a fat old troll! I hope you get crows feet and you get a patch of gray hair!"

At that point the two were standing over Yuri, forehead to forehead, ready to kill each other. Poor Yuri, its been so many years and apparently nothing has or will ever change between the twins. There was enough pride in the room to choke a a menos. Eventually after his forehead began to ache, he sat down and leaned back into his chair again. This was so stupid!

"Wait until lunch time. I'm going to pull out your hair and use it like confetti! You are as good as dead you cow!"

[Azumi Onigata]

With all of the commotion in the class room, it was hard to believe that this group of unruly students will be hers for the remainder of the year. Apparently she had a lot of straightening out to do before the end of the year. As she entered the class room, she grinned upon noticing that her husband was in the class room, as well as her sister in law and one of her good friends. Oh what carnage she would cause for her husband at least. She moved behind her desk and stood there watching as the students talked among themselves. She cleared her throat and didn't get through to any of the students whatsoever.

Clearing her throat a little louder, the students continued to ramble on and on about, whatever it was that humans rambled on about. With her own personal vendetta against being ignored, be it by her husband or her students. she had gotten her fill for the rest of the day. Placing her finger nails on the chalkboard, she clawed the living hell out of it and got all of the students to shut up instantly.

"Good Morning Class, I am your teacher, Miss Azumi Kusanagi! I look forward to spending the year with all of you. A little about myself first. I am a happily married woman with a four year old daughter. I spend a lot of my free time shopping. I'm certain that I've bumped into a lot of you at some clothing stores somewhere. Some of your faces seem very familiar to me....some more than others. Now I am not a strict teacher by any means! I'm young and fun! However I will not tolerate any sort of disrespect from you either. We are all respected individuals so I expect you to act like it."

Azumi shot a glance over to her husband. She tilted her head forward a bit, looking over the frame of her glasses and smirked. She even shot a wink in his direction. The look on all three of their faces was rather priceless.

She was dressed rather conservatively. A white blouse with a knee length skirt with black high heels and black framed glasses to match. Her hair was up in more or less a bun. She was already receiving some rather interesting responses in regards to her rather good looks. Even some wolf whistles! She was in heaven, what woman wouldn't love all of this attention she was getting. She shot a glance over to Ryouji again and saw that he was about to explode into an undeniable rage. She quickly cleared her throat and smiled. She slowly floated across the classroom floor and made her way over to Ryouji's desk and sat down on it. She crossed her legs and leaned back slightly.

"Now who wants to be a charming young and and be my assistant? I know there is some kind and caring soul, who knows that even a teacher needs help. It would be considered extra...credit perhaps?"

As soon as she finished the sentence, in unison every single boy in the class room's hand shot up like a rocket. Azumi giggled seductively before glancing down at Ryouji. She noticed that his hand didn't go up and he was more or less looking away from her.

"What's the matter? Don't tell me you don't like me all ready. I haven't been here four five minutes and I'm already disliked. Oh woe is meeee!"

Azumi giggled before sliding off of Ryouji's desk and on to the floor again. She continued to glide across the room taking notice of all the hands that went up. While she could choose any one of them, she preferred to torture the hell out of her favorite boy in the class room.

"You...shy boy. You can be my assistant. You don't need to sit there anymore, you'll have your own special desk right next to mine. I trust that you won't let me down will you. Come on to your new seat and grab your things."

When Ryouji didn't move an inch...she huffed and waved her finger at him. She was already being disrespected, it was clear that her new assistant was a rebel...a bad boy! While she enjoyed her bad bad boy when she isn't teaching, she couldn't allow such a thing to happen in front of the students.

"Very well then...I will see you in detention during lunch young man. In the mean time class, since this is our first day together, why don't we take it easy for the remainder of the day. As long as you keep the noise level down to a minimum okay! Lunch will be soon!"

[Yuri Nakayama]

As the twins fought, she tried her best to just ignore their fighting, but it's hard to when they decided to stand over her and more or less yell in each others face. She sighed deeply, slightly embarrassed that they were acting like little kids. Still, it felt kind of nice. Yeah, screaming at the top of their lungs seemed so..natural. If they weren't like that basically all the time, something would have to be up. When Shukumei made mention that she should pull up her skirt a little, Yuri shook her head from side to side. She may be cute, but she just couldn't do something like that. It wouldn't make her feel comfortable. "maybe so, Shukumei, but I don't feel like drawing attention to myself. I..just wouldn't feel comfortable." To be honest, she would feel really shy if she were to dress to get not only Ronin's attention, but the other boys as well. She was fine the way she was.

When Azumi stepped in and announced that she was the teacher, her jaw just dropped. How was it going to work out? She made quick work of Ryouji it wasn't even funny. Poor guy though. First day of school and he already has detention. It kind of made sense though. though they are husband and wife, Azumi can't let on that her husband is one of the students. That would sound..kinda creepy or something. At least she was generous by allowing them to do as they want as long as they didn't get too rowdy.

Now could be the chance to catch up with everyone. She then turns to face Shukumei and Ryouji. hopefully they could stop their sibling rivalry until school was over. "How have you been,. Ryouji? You too, Shukumei. I would of kept in touch, but the work just seemed to pile up over the years. How is little Shi doing?"

[Hina Kusanagi]

After getting begged by her little niece practically all morning to go and see her mother. Hina finally gave in, who would have thought that a girl who was such a sweet little baby could grow to be almost exactly like her mother, a highly energetic persuasive little thing with a meatball hairstyle she was still cute without a doubt. Before Hina and Little Shizune were to leave, when she opened the door to leave, an unexpected visitor was there to see everyone. After a quick hug and some discussion, Hina grabbed her niece to carry her and pulled the visitor along with her to go and visit Azumi at her new job.

After traveling a small ways away to Karakura High School. Hina signed in the visitors log and made way to Azumi's class room to see her sitting there reading while the class more or less goofed off. After knocking on the door Hina stepped in with the little one in her arms.

"She wanted to come and see you sis. You know how she is when you aren't around for five minutes and to top it off with Ryo..."

She saw Ryouji sitting there in the chair moping. She cleared her throat and turned to face her sister again.

"Without her father there either, she wanted me to bring her to see you. Not to mention we have another guest who came a long way to see you too!"

[Shizune Onigata]

After being brought into the classroom by her Auntie Hina, she scurried down and ran over to her mother and clung to her as best as she could. She was so happy to see her mother.

"Mommy mommy mommy! I missed you!!!"

After being picked up by her mother she hugged her again only tighter. She peered over her mothers desk to her father who was sitting there and she waved to him and he waved back. She knew she couldn't run over to him and tackle hug him like she usually does since there was supposed to be some secret they were keeping.

"Mommy? Are you happy to see me, but but before you answer, you have to meet the nice lady Auntie Hina brought wiff us! She...uh has long pretty blue hair and...and.."

She couldn't remember the rest of what she looked like. In any case she looked pretty! Sitting down in her mother's lap she placed her tiny hands on her mothers desk looking at all the people.

"Hiya everyone!"

[Megumi]

As Emi was hugged by Hina, she, Hina, and little Shi soon headed to the school. At first, Emi was confused as to why they would head to such a strange building. It made her a little nervous since it was her first time there. As Hina and little Shi entered the room, Emi stayed out, moving just a little so she could look in and not be seen at the same time. Then, something had caught her attention. Rather, it was someone. When she saw Azumi, she had a wide smile on her face. She more or less ran into the class room, not realizing there was a class in session. That that it mattered to her really. She then stopped by the desk, smiling as she looked to Azumi."Miss Azumi! Nice to see you again! It's been forever!" Well, four years felt like forever to her, anyway. Then, when she noticed that were other people in here, she felt kind of shy and a bit nervous. Then when she noticed that Shukumei, her mother, and Ryouji were here, it made her feel a bit better.

She carefully moved close to Ryouji without him noticing her. The way he was acting, he was mad about something. Maybe she can help cheer him up! She then tackles him out of his desk, clinging to him. "Miiister Ryooouji! Don't look so mad! I've missed you so much and everyone too! How ya been??"

[Ryouji Onigata]

After being tackle-pwnt by Megumi, Ryouji sat up slowly and took a deep breath. She was so much bigger than she use to be, so the tackles hurt a lot more than it should. Maybe he was getting old and didn't want to admit it but in any case...she has some power behind those tackles now.

"Its...nice to see you too Megumi."

After climbing into his chair again he sighed and turned toward Megumi. She's gotten taller, but maybe even taller than her mother now.

"You've grown to a pretty young Lady Megumi...how is Shi doing? Is...um...is she alright? She's not hurt or anything right?"

Maybe he was more concerned than he should have been, but after all Shi was his daughter all the same. He still couldn't get over how strong she was, she not only beat him in a battle, but beat Zetsumei as well. As long as she wasn't dead or anything, there wasn't much to worry about, she could very well take care of herself.

"Listen closely Megumi...we are supposed to be high school students, so try not to blow secret! I will uh...buy you ice cream after school?"

[Megumi]

Megumi soon stood up, sitting at a desk that was near the twins. When she heard Ryouji ask about Shi, she couldn't help but to giggle. It was good to see that he was thinking about her though she wasn't here. "Shi's doing really well. Everyone was really proud of what she did four years ago. Mama's been checking in on her when she's not busy with work or teaching me things." She knows that it was her dream to be a Shinigami, but she had no idea of how it was. With all the kido and everything else, her mind just can't take it. She just had to get away.

"Mama says I'm a bit lazy or something. It's not true! She's teaching me all kinda things about being a Shi.." It was that point where Ryouji stopped her and mentioned that they were trying to hide a secret or something. She tilted her head to the side when he mentioned high school students. She wasn't familiar with the term. Still, if they wanted to keep some kind of secret, she would keep it. they must not want everyone to know that they're Shinigami or something. The thought Ice cream did sound appealing to her, so she was game!

[Azumi Onigata]

After seeing Emi come into the room, Azumi was excited, more so than she should be, it was nice to see that she was becoming a very pretty young lady. Even so, if she came back does that mean Shi would also. She couldn't wait until the day was over so she could actually give Emi the big hug she deserved. She looked down the little one sitting in her lap and smiled.

"Of course I'm happy to see you! You're my most favorite person in the world you know. It makes mommy happy to see my little girl smiling and visiting me."

Shizune celebrated with a very enthusiastic 'Yay' before hugging onto her mother. She was just so adorable it wasn't even funny. A mirror image of her mother.

"You are so adorable I could just hug you all day! But remember sweetie, you can't reveal who your father is or mommy could get in really big trouble...big huge trouble but why don't you go and say hello to the pretty girl with the blue hair while mommy and auntie Hina talk for a bit, but before you go you have to give me a kiss and tell me you love me!"

Standing up in her lap as best she could, the little one gave Azumi a big kiss and told her that she loved her before hurrying down to go and play with Emi and the others.

"Every time I see her I just want to hug her all day. Its not fair that she's even prettier than I am!"

The Sister's Kusanagi began to talk amongst themselves about the things they usually talk about. Shopping and keeping themselves beautiful. What else could they possibly have to talk about.

[Shizune Onigata]

After climbing down from her mother's lap she ran around the classroom at full speed while giggling before stopping in front of the pretty blue haired lady...although she was confuzzled...because now there were two of them. Walking over to her father she stood there and looked at him with a huge smile on her face. She held up her hand like she wanted a 'high-five' and so she was given one before giggling and turning to the blue haired lady with the longer hair.

"My name is Shizune! Mommy always told me to introduce myself to people I don't know because its always nice to meet new people and I wanna tell you that you ish pretty! Like my mommy and my two aunties and that bigger lady wiff blue hair! What's ish your name Miss Lady?"

After introducing herself to the longer pretty lady with blue hair, she turned to the other one. She made a kids deduction that they look kind of alike but maybe she was just hyper and wasn't seeing things like she should. Though they could almost be like sisters.

"Nice to meet you too nice pretty lady!"

[Megumi]

Emi smiled when little Shizune introduced herself to her. Although she already knew who she was, she had to go along with the notion that it was the first time they had ever met. Plus, the little one complimented her. She was so sweet and cute! "Well, my name is Megumi. My friends like to call me Emi, so you can call me that too if you want!" when Shizune turned to look to Yuri, she couldn't help but to look over to her as well. At the moment, she seemed busy doing something and didn't hear Shizune asking her for her name. "The other blue hair is named Yuri. She's a very nice person!" she often wondered if the others had told her that she was Yuri's daughter. Nah, they couldn't have..right?

Megumi kept her attention on Shizune who was very hyperactive to say the least. She remembered asking her mother what Shi was like when she was little and she made mention on how energetic she was and how much she enjoyed playing. She was happy for the little one. She has all of her family members and in a way, so does Shi as well. Hopefully, she would come and pay a visit as well. "What would you like to do, Shizune?"

[Shizune Onigata]

When Miss Lady Emi asked her what she wanted to do, she didn't know. It wasn't often that she got to visit her mommy at work. What could they do. She looked back to her father who was still sitting there looking all mean and stuff. She didn't like it when he looked like that. It wasn't fair that she didn't get to say hi to him by jumping up into his arms. It almost made her a little sad. She turned back to Megumi, with a thought that had struck her not even a second ago.

"I want you to let me hug you so you can hug my daddy for me! It ishn't the same as me hugging him but I can't hug him and call him my daddy because mommy would get in big trouble. If Mommy gets in trouble she will be sad and I don't want my mommy to be sad ever ever. Though I could wait until we go home! That way I can huggle him for the rest of the day hehehe!"


She turned to the other Miss Lady person, emi said her name was Yuri or something fancy. It was a pretty name and it suited her too. It wasn't fair that she wasn't being social like Miss Lady Emi was. She shrugged and climbed into Miss Lady Emi's lap and sat down.

"Are you a uhm uhmm what ish they called again..a uhmm shinwingamie? Are you strong like my daddy? I think you may even be stronger! Cuz when you tackled him he looked hurted! Where ish your mommy and daddy! Aren't they worried about you Miss Lady Emi!?"

[Megumi]

Emi just smiled when the little one climbed up into her lap, When she got settled, she gave her a hug. She was just so cute. To hear her ask to hug her so she could hug Ryouji, she just giggled. In a way, she would be giving her daddy a hug. It was a smooth idea. When Shizune asked if she was a Shinigami, she had to think for a moment, Technically she's not. She's still in training. Her mother thought it would be a good idea for her to come back to this time to train under her mentor. It just seemed like a lot of work, but she was gonna go along with it. "Well, I'm trying to become one. My Mama's been teaching me a lot of things along with someone else."

Emi couldn't help but to smile when Shizune seemed worried that her parents would be worried about her. With her parents always busy with their squads, it was hard for her to just hang out with them. In a way, it made her sad. She would just try to ignore it though, trying to see that they had become shingamis to protect what was important to her like she was trying to do. "Mama and Papa are very busy with their squads. They're often doing missions and don't have to teach me. So they sent me here! They're close friends with your everyone here and thought they could help me out. Then, When I'm a lot older, I can go to the Academy."

Hopefully, she wasn't boring little Shizune. Emi looks to her, tilting her head to the side. Would she like to go outside or something? "You wanna go outside or something after asking your mom? We could play or something!"

[Shizune Onigata]

After hearing that Miss Lady Emi was learning things from her mommy, wanted to learn stuff too! Being a Shinwingamie sounded like a lot of fun, but she knew she could do it however she would miss her parents a lot if she did go!

"Mommy and Auntie Mei taught me a little something but they want me to keep it a secret from my daddy, cuz they say he may not like me learning schtuff like that, but its fun! Mommy says I'm the strongest little person she person she knows!"

She smiled and grabbed Emi's hand and looked at it. It was so much bigger than she was, one day she was going to be just as tall as she was and strong too!

"My daddy says that its not nice to give up! If it helps, I know you can become a strong shinwingamie just like him and Auntie Mei. Keep trying and...and I'll help. I can like uhmm HELP! Yesh! Miss Lady Emi will be a great shinwingamie. I know it!"

[Megumi]

Emi just smiled from hearing her encouragement. It's not that she was going to give up. There was just a lot of work in becoming a Shinigami that it seemed impossible to do. When Shizune had grabbed her hand, she tilted her head to the side. It seemed strange for her to compare the size of their hands. Still, it must be a way of bonding or something. To hear that she wanted to help her become a Shinigami, she just smiled wide. With shizune helping, nothing could go wrong!

"Nothing would make me happier! You'll be my mentor, after all! You can show me the things you were taught and I'll show you what I was taught! with us helping each other, we can do anything!" Though she could relate to the notion of a father not wanting her to become a Shinigami. They were just worrying about their safety. There was nothing wrong with it. "Well, being a Shinigami can be scary. My mama, papa, and a really good friend of mine are all Shinigami. They say that it's very dangerous. Sometimes they come back really hurt. Papa said he doesn't want me to become one because he's afraid I'll get hurt. That must be why your daddy doesn't want you to become one either. He's just trying to keep you safe"

Though probably with her being so cute, she might just be able to talk her daddy and possibly mother into becoming one. After all, they gotta know how to protect themselves.

[Shizune Onigata]

Being a shinwingamie sounded scary! She's never seen her mommy or daddy fight so she wouldn't know if they got hurt really bad or not. Even still, she wouldn't get hurt and if she did she knew that her daddy would beat them up.

"Danger...dangerwus or not! I ish going to be a shinwingamie everyone ish afraid of. I could totally kick some butt! They will run when they see me coming!"

The little one raised her hand with a clinched fist to illustrate her point of being strong. She giggled before glancing up to Miss Lady Emi with a huge grin!

-- Fast Forwarding to the end of the school day --

Now that her daddy and mommy didn't have to stay at this place anymore she was happy. Now she could hug her daddy as much as she wanted to like she wanted to earlier.

"Daddy daddy daddy, ish it true we ish going to have ice cream!"

Once receiving a nod from her father she cheered before running over to him and clinging to his leg. She truly loved her father, even though he wasn't silly as her mother is, he was still the best daddy ever in her opinion, especially when they went for ice cream which wasn't often since her mommy doesn't like her having to many sweets she never tells Auntie Mei not to have so many sweets and she could eat a whole planet if she wanted to but she would never say that out loud.

After unclinging from her father's leg, she jumped up for him to carry her. He was so tall and she enjoyed being so high from the ground, it was like riding a super fun ride called "daddy"

"Daddy why are you with mommy at her new job, I don't get it! Its no fair that you two can be together all the time and I can't be there wiff you! It makes me sad because when you ish at that school place I can't hug you liiiiiike this!"

She clung to him as tightly as she could. She was so tiny compared to him that he could pretty much hold her with one hand. She hopes that she would be that tall one day. She burried her head into his shirt before giggling. and climbing her way up to his shoulders for her to sit on like she usually does.

"Faster daddy the ice cream ish waiting!"

[Ryouji Onigata]

After being huggled and ridden by her daughter, it brought a slight smile to his face. Never in a million years did he imagine she would bring him so much joy especially since he's never one to really show happy facial expressions. She was everything to him. His entire reason for fighting now although he hasn't had to fight for quiet sometime, aside with his sister which was practically an every day occurrence for the two of them. With Zetsumei gone and Shiva gone, it felt like a great time to live.

"We will get there when we get there Shizune, there is no need to rush, the ice cream won't go anywhere"

When he heard her shout yay, he chuckled to himself. She was so energetic and friendly, he actually wondered if she was really his daughter. Shizune from the future seemed so withdrawn and afraid, but then having lost her parents her time it wasn't entirely strange why she was like that.

"So Megumi, you claimed that your parents sent you back so that we could train you to become a Shinigami correct? With Zetsumei gone I figured they would have much more time to teach you the things they want you to learn? A better question is why isn't Shi teaching you anything? She is your mother's protege after all"

Once Shi heard her nickname she leaned over her father's head and glanced down at him. How could she possibly teach Emi anything after all they just met and she's only four years old

"Daddy I'm only four what could I possibly teach her! Besides I uh...don't know any shinwingamie techniques...yeah thats it! I know nothing!"

She quickly pulled her face out of her father's sight and sighed. Ryouji narrowed his eyes. It wasn't hard to tell she was hiding something.

"Hina...Shukumei, is there something I don't know about? Like my daughter learning stuff she has no business learning! How does she even know what a Shinigami is."

Ryouji glanced back to see that neither his sister or sister-in-law were standing there. He looked in front of them and saw the two of them running way ahead of the pack.

"Yeah you better run!"

[Megumi]

Emi just giggled as she saw Hina and Shukumei run on ahead. Honestly, she didn't see why he was making a big fuss about it. If she wanted to be a Shinigami, why stop her? Then again, maybe what she did say was true. He just doesn't want her to get hurt. Emi has only heard stories about being a Shinigami from her mother and father. They sounded scary and it seemed like they had a lot of hard work. She remembered how worried she used to be..well..still worried about Shi going out on missions. Sometimes she would come back alright and sometimes she would come back looking really beaten up. It must be complicated.

When Ryouji asked why was she sent back, Emi had to think for a moment. She could get her parents or Shi to teach her, but they're always busy with missions and stuff. It kind of makes her feel left out. Besides, they didn't need more work to do with training her. "Well, I would ask Mama or Papa, but they're so busy with their squads. S.." She was about to talk about her Shi, but seeing how the little one was near and was also called that nickname, Emi had to think of something to tell the two apart. "Adult Shi is busy with her squad too. Mama wanted me to go to the academy , but said I would have to know how to control uh.. what'cha call it.. Reiatsu or whatever before I could.""

There was another reason too and it was just not coming to Emi. She remember her mother talking about it, but it was slipping her mind. Finally, it came back to her. "Mama also said I could be lazy at sometimes. Only because there's nothign to do, you know? So, she thought that she could send me to ya because well, you don't like lazy people! I still remember how you treated Squad three when you took over Yuri's Squad until she got better! You made them work hard! That's what Mama wants.. or something like that." In all honestly, the only thing that mattered to her right now was the ice cream. She wondered what kind of flavors there was. When she first came to this time, Nori just kept on giving her one particular kind so of course, she was curious to see what else there was.

"Hey! After we're done with our ice cream, let's go somewhere and play!""

[Future Shizune]

"Well instead of wanting to play after your ice cream you should want to get to work right away, shouldn't you Emi; and what's this I'm to busy for you stuff! I'm never to busy to help train you! If becoming a member of the Gotei 13 is something you want bad enough there is nothing I wouldn't do to help you achieve that goal. I am your best friend after all, right?!"

As if appearing out of nowhere Shi approached Megumi from behind and squeezed her all while lifting her off the ground. Now that she was sent back here she had to do blend in with everyone else and the school uniform wasn't much to her liking"

"How can you guys wear this stuff? It's so revealing!"

After setting Megumi down she knelt down in front of her and smiled. She knew that she could do it but she had to motivate her to ensure that her dream became a reality.

"I tell you what I'll do, if you seriously want to become a shinigami and have daddy and everyone here train you then I'll do the training with you. That way you don't have to do it alone, How does that sound?"

Hopefully what she just said wouldn't come back to bite her in the butt, she has no idea how her severe her father's training would be but if it would help motivate emi into getting it done then thats what she would do.

[Megumi]

Emi just squealed from seeing the adult shi and clung to her when she kneeled down in front of her. It was to be expected that she would of come back too, but it was still a huge surprise. When she heard her say that she was gonna help her train, Emi got all teary eyed and looked up to Shi. "You really mean it? Like.. Really, really, reaaaally mean it?"" When Emi saw Shi nod, Emi let out another squeal from being so happy. Shi and herself were gonna be trained by her daddy and her Mama and everyone else. It was just too good to be true. Still, she was gonna work hard and make sure to absorb all the knowledge that would be taught to her.

"Alright! I'll do it! So, after we eat our Ice cream, it's off to training! And and... Since The bigger Shi is here, Little Shi can be there too! She can cheer us on and watch and..do all kinds of stuff!" It shouldn't be hard to tell that she was majorly excited that Shi was gonna train along with her. That means if she has any trouble, she could just ask! "Well uh, about the being too busy thing.. I just couldn't uh.. What's the word.. distract you! Yeah! I couldn't do that! I couldn't do Mama that way either or Papa. I mean.. I know you all would like to help, but you're doing a lot to keep Seireitei all safe and stuff! I didn't want to seem selfish or nothing!"

It was hard to explain but still, it doesn't matter. Emi was starting to wonder how would the training go. Would it be learning Kido? How to fight? Well, there's not much fighting she could do since she didn't have a Zanpaktou. Then it made her wonder. "Hey uhm... How do you get a Zanpaktou? I remember Tatsumaki saying that I would have to talk to it to learn its name and stuff so..how would I go about doing that?"

[Future Shizune]

Even if they were busy a majority of the time, Shi always had time for Emi no matter what. It's always been like that until recently. She has no one to blame but herself for not being there with Emi as much as she should be and would like to.

"I don't care what I have to do back home, no work load is to important to keep me to busy to spend time and help you. What kind of big sisterly figure would I be if I ignored my entire reason for living!"

She gave Emi a big hug before standing up and patting her on the top of her head. She was such a kind hearted girl. She knew that she was ready for the training regardless of how battered she's going to become, there was no way she would give up. Even still she feared for her though, no one really knows but Lady Yuri how volatile her father's training could be. She even wondered if she would survive it. She wouldn't let Emi give up no matter what and if she was going to train along side her, she wouldn't give up either.

After reassuring Emi she went on to speak to her mother and father hugging each of them. After hugging her father however she and her younger self had a rather awkward stare down. Her younger self seemed a little angry with her and why future shi had no clue why she just continued to stand there and stare at her in return.

[Shizune Onigata]

After seeing this unknown lady hug her father she got mad and frowned up. She didn't like strange ladies hugging her daddy, that was her daddy and hers alone. She was the only one who could hug him and her mommy too!

"You can't hug my daddy, he ish my daddy!"

Climbing down from her father's shoulders she stepped in front of him, determined to keep this strange lady from hugging or touching her daddy again.

"RAWR!!!!"

Throwing her hands into the air she began to chase the bigger version of herself around the sidewalk they were walking on. If it wasn't clear now how protective she was of her mother and father, it was apparent now. After running near her father again, she jumped and clung to his leg before giggling. He picked her up and carried her. While she had her arms wrapped around his neck, she kept a vicious gaze on the bigger Shi. Making sure that she didn't get near her daddy. Because if she did, she was totally going to get it.

It wasn't long after, that her mother, father, aunt, Miss Lady Yuri and the big strange lady stopped walking completely. She looked at her father seeing how serious his face was. She thought she was in trouble so she buried her face into his shoulder not wanting to see him angry at her. When he didn't respond to her, she looked at him again and saw him looking straight ahead, and with her curious self, she looked in the direction he was looking in and saw this strange man person staring at in her direction. He had a cool uniform thingy but he didn't look very nice.

"Daddy who is that strange man person? Does he want ice cream too?"

[Ayame Kojima]

Standing in front of the group of Shinigami and the one responsible for his defeat a little over four years ago. He has had to live with it all this time and now he was going to get revenge on the lot of them at any and every cost.

"Fancy meeting you here. Did you really think I would die at your hands Shizune Onigata? For four long years I've waited for the chance to see you and now that you're here. I challenge you to a rematch Shizune...to the death!"

Zetsumei drew his blade and pointed it at the adult Shizune while laughing. When she moved in front of the crowd to confront him. His excitement grew. If it hadn't been for her unnatural abilities, he would have never lost to her. Now...things were much different, the battlefield was a lot more 'even'

"When I kill you, you can rest assured that your family...all of them will join you even the little girl your father is holding"

Without word nor warning, Ryouji was already coming after him in his shinigami form with his blade drawn, the two clashed blades with Ryouji fuming in anger.

"Well well, you always were quick to the draw Ryouji...but even you are no match for me"

Gripping Ryouji's Zanpakutou by the blade he began to laugh as he slowly raised his right hand to his face, covering the entire rightside of his face.

The look on Ryouji's face change to one of anger to one of shock and confusion. It was easy to read as if it were an open book. Ryouji knew exactly what it meant. Zetsumei was no longer the same person Shizune defeated, he became something more, something much worse. Before he could do what he planned, his attention was diverted to the sky above as a rather large hole began to form in the sky above them.

"A garganta...?"

Releasing Ryouji's blade from his grip, he sheathed his own weapon and turned away from Ryouji and faced the Garganta as it continued to grow in size. Once reaching a certain Diameter, it stopped completely and two figures exited from it before the sky began to repair itself.

"Even the Arrancar challenge my strength..damn them!"

Preparing to confront them on his own, he was stopped by Ryouji blocking his path with his arm. It wasn't until he calmed down that he actually felt their combined spiritual pressure. It nearly floored him. What in the hell were they, they weren't like the Arrancar he was told about previously...they were something else...something much more severe and frightening. Even he was having second thoughts about encountering them.

The pair flew down from where they entered this world and landed on the ground in front of them. One was a woman, clearly feminine and the other seemed to be an idiot.

"What's the deal with these two Ryouji, who in the hell are they?"

Thats when he remembered, the one he works for now mentioned them in passing before he left for the human world himself. 'Beware of members of the Original Six. There power and strength are something to be reckoned with'. It was the last thing he was told and now even with two of them standing before him, there was a reason why he was told something like that and now he sees why.

[Adalita Cruz]

These were the group of Shinigami causing the one who originally sought to free them so much trouble. Even the one who risked her well being to free them was here, how quaint and mysterious. It appears that when the woman broke the seal which kept them away, she was freed to since she was caught in it.

"We've come not to fight with you Shinigami. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Adalita Cruz, I am a member of the original six. There are no need for introductions on your behalf, we are well aware of who you are and what you are capable of, with the exception of you Masked Man."

They were an odd bunch, but she could tell what she was feeling wasn't truly an accurate gauge of their strength. Even in there gigai, it was apparent that they all were destined to do battle eventually and she loathed the idea of having to fight them. Removing her left glove revealing the self carving of her status or number within the original six. She was ranked number 2.

"There is an impending war with the Gotei thirteen. I humbly ask that you remain out of it. Stay here in the human world...live out the rest of your days without fear of dying. If you enter the front lines, I cannot guarantee your safety. This is the first and only warning I feel that I should give."

Adalita lowered her head to the group of Shinigami bowing to them and giving them the respect they deserve. They were fearless warriors at one point in time however that time has passed and they must understand that their strength alone isn't won't be enough to bring the war to an end. Regardless of how strong they are, they will die when they cross the original six. There was no need to sugar coat it.

"Here is where our civil meeting ends...fareware well Shinigami and to you as well masked man."

A rather large Garganta opened behind the two members of the original six and together the two of them stepped into the dark void. Her brother was smirking while staring at one who was sealed away with them, its apparent that his 'love' for her still remained intact. Love was for humans, not for warriors. The garganta closed behind them and they returned to Hueco Mundo.

[Yuri Nakayama]

First it was Zetsumei who made an appearance and now it was two members of the Original Six. It would of been foolish to fight either of them now, so the only thing that could be done was to stand and listen. If there was going to be a war, there was no way Yuri would just live out her life in peace while her comrades and friends could possibly die. She would call and just report what was told, but with something of this caliber, it needed to be reported in person. However, with Zetsumei still before them, it would be rather hard. Moving in front of the others, Yuri looks to the man they all thought to be dead.

"What was the purpose of revealing yourself, Zetsumei? Revenge? Do you honestly think we would allow you to do such a thing? Even if you were, it's not the time for such a foolish thing. We have greater concerns other than than as you have clearly seen." Though she hated to admit it, it seemed like they have a common enemy. After all, Zetsumei was asking about them. Maybe it was to be expected since the Original Six never existed in his timeline. "To put it simply, they want to destroy all Shinigami, including us though i have a feeling you wouldn't like something like that." It was short and to the point, more or less. No need to tell the enemy everything.

"So, what's it going to be? Are you going to fight or stand down?"

[Ayame Kojima]

Was this Yuri serious, still so young and naive. She too would learn like the 800 shinigami who have fallen before her that he does what he wants and he wants to kill the lot of them to be rid of them completely.

"It isn't a matter of what you think you may let me do Captain Nakayama, its a matter of when and where and that is a time of my choosing. There is nothing anyone standing here can do about it. I will kill Shizune and then I will kill all of you. It isn't a terribly hard concept to understand"

However there is a much bigger threat on the horizon and it was the Arrancar, as much as he hated the thought of working with Shinigami, it would seem as if he has no choice.

"Regardless of how big you assume their threat is, there is no greater threat to your lively hood than I. You would do well to remember that. At this point in time, they could come from anywhere and everywhere. I will fight them at my own disgust. I want it to be well known that when this is over, you die"

[Yuri Nakayama]

He talks big enough for someone who's already lost once. Sure, he may be strong now, but no matter how strong Zetsumei gets, they too, will get strong and eventually be rid of his existence. It wasn't going to be an easy fight, that's for sure. Still, for now, as much as she hates to even think or admit it, they have a common enemy. At least with this alliance, it's definitely temporary. Well, same with Shiva, but it just seems different than this or was it really? Two enemies having a common one. Would they really have no alternative to suggest an alliance until the war is done?

"You're stronger than last time, I'll give you that, Zetsumei. However, this shouldn't be a time where we go back and forth and see who's the strongest. We both have the same enemy. As much as it pains me to say this.. We might as well strike a truce until the Original Six is done with." It was then where she could feel the stares of the others. Surely, she didn't have to justify herself, but she might as well just to clarify. "Don't look at me like that! What makes this truce and alliance any different than the one we have with Shiva and her horde? We know as soon as our common enemy is gone, it's back to the same old 'Shinigami must die' routine. We all know Zetsumei has gotten stronger. So have we, but we can't let our personal feelings get in the way."

Perhaps that was the wrong thing to say. After all, this is the man who killed Future Shizune's parents and Shukumei as well. Since she said what she did, Shizune turned to her mentor, just looking at her. Yuri just sighed, rubbing the back of her head. It would be best if she tried to rephrase what she meant. "Well, that didn't exactly come out the way I meant it. What I meant was I know we all have a problem with Zetsumei, especially with Big Shi. all the more reason we won't more or less consider him a "friend" out of this. We know that further down the line, he will do something that he believe will kill us. For right now, we can't worry about that. All of you know we're going to need all the help we can get. Besides.. He's been beaten once. He can be beaten again."

[Ryouji Onigata]

Rubbing the back of his head, Ryouji didn't know what to make of any of this nonsense. On one hand you had Zetsumei whom was out to get the future Shizune and then the rest of them, and on the other you had the original six whom was making there presence known now more than before. At that point he made up his mind, that he was going to train and train harder than ever before, but he couldn't neglect Megumi either. The timing of this situation sucked to put it mildly, how could they train megumi and still be ready for the original six themselves.

"If you two are done with your witty bitching we've got other matters to deal with. As much as it pains me to say it, I won't be able to take my daughter for ice cream."

He turned and glanced back at the little one. He wondered if she could really see him since she's been receiving some secret training even though he's against the idea at least for the moment. Stepping up to his mod-soul inhabited body he looks at her. He extended his hand as if he wanted a high five and when she tagged his hand back he knew she was very much spiritually aware.

"So you can see me...hmm well we can't go for ice cream any more, but how about we ask mommy to bake us some cookies instead? Daddy wants to help Megumi become a Shinigami. I'm sure she would want you to cheer her on. Is that okay with you? I promise to take you for ice cream sometime soon...I promise!"

When he received her approval he sighed...sometimes when she really wants something, she would put on her little sad face and it was hard for him to resist. She was a little manipulator just like her mother.

"Very well then, I'm going on ahead to Urahara's and set things up for Megumi's test. Join me there when you are ready."
