It was a couple minutes after Ryouji had left when Yuri and the others had arrived at the shop. A lot was on her mind at the moment. It all seemed so worrisome and well, stressful. Even if it's Megumi's dream to be a Shinigami, can they really make her one without her parents permission? Even if they did give permission, doesn't becoming a Shinigami take many years? Then again, Ronin was able to become a Shinigami. How did he say that happened again? i wished that shinigami never gave me their power! So that's how it was done? Transferring the powers over? It sounds kind of painful though.
When they all stepped in, Yuri was glancing around to see if she spotted Ryouji. When he was nowhere around, it was only reasonable to think he would be down in the training area. Heading down to that area, Yuri hopped down when close to the ground. It felt like forever since the last time she was down here. The last time was roughly four years ago when Shiva and Nori were talking about why she refused to wear her mask. This time, it was different. No longer was she being held back by the fears of her Hollow taking over. Even if it did, she would use all her strength to subdue it once more. When she finally spots Ryouji, she goes over to him to see if there was anything she could do to help him out.
"There you are. We're all here. They're just above with Urahara. is there anything I can do to help set up the test or whatever?" To be honest, why was he going through a test to see if it was alright for her to become one? It seemed hard to understand, but the more she thought about it, the more it began to make sense. Wanting to be a Shinigami and actually being one are two completely different things. She may want to be one, but does she have the resolve to go through anything and everything after everything was said and done. Right on cue, some had decided to come down to the training area while some stayed above for whatever reason. Little Emi had come down see what was going on. Yuri could tell she looked nervous. She went over to her, kneeling in front of her.
"Don't be worried. It may seem scary, but you will just have to do your best. We're all here to cheer you on, you know! You're closer to achieving your dream! See it through!"

Even if everyone was going to cheer her on, she couldn't help feel nervous. She's heard about how Ryouji is from her mother and it kind of scares her. Of course he wouldn't do anything to hurt her. That's not what she was afraid of. She was afraid that even if she tries with all her might, she will end up failing this test and won't be able to become a Shinigami. Well, even if she does fail, she won't give up. She'll keep trying until she gets it right! She then also remembered that Shi was going to go along with the training with her so it wasn't as if she was completely alone. She'll show them how strong she can be! Probably the only advantage she has would be that she never had to worry about her Hollow taking over or having to fight it for control. All she knew was that she could conjure up a mask and wear it as a hat or whatever.
She had to get over her fear. She knows without a doubt that she wants to become a Shinigami and wasn't going to let anything get in her way. "Uhm.. Mister Ryouji? what exactly will this...test be? It won't be fighting or using Kido, right? 'Cause that wouldn't be faire! Well, I do know a little bit of kido since I've watched Mama, Papa, and Shi, but still! Though I guess it shouldn't matter what kind of test it is! I'll be sure to pass it!"

She didn't lack confidence, that was certain. However there was a hint of fear within her. It was evident but if this is what she wants, it is a fear that she has to conquer. However the test would prove to be hard. At least she was spiritually aware, if she hadn't been, he would have had to separate her soul from her body by killing her.
"This test does not require fighting or Kido, Megumi. You have no cause for concern. The test itself is a simple one, it only requires you to do one simple thing. Something you do every single day without even thinking about it."
Ryouji saw the confusion in her eyes. He wasn't using confusing words was he? Maybe it was the way he was speaking about it. He rubbed the back of his head and chuckled a bit before clearing his throat.
"To put it in simple terms, the only thing you must do...is stand Megumi. Stand up and show me your determination and willpower. Show me that you are willing to do whatever it takes to succeed."
Ryouji removed his custom haori and tossed it to the floor. With his black vest he stood there with his arms folded and his Zanpakutou in hand. Naturally he has to be quite cryptic, but she would soon understand for herself.
"Standing is the way to pass, however the test is standing under the combined Spiritual pressure of myself and Shukumei. If you can stand, I will accept you as my pupil and I will mold you into the shinigami I know you can be...but should you fail... Should you fail you will die from being crushed to death by our combined spiritual pressure. Do you still wish to take the test Megumi?"
Ryouji twirled his sheathed Zanpakutou around in between his fingers before shoving the sheath itself down into the ground. At that point he didn't need to sugar coat what could happen, although its more than likely he wouldn't take it to the extreme. Shukumei on the other hand wasn't going to be so forgiving. The way she answers the question will tell exactly how she's feeling and what it is she's thinking.

Upon hearing that this little test he set up for that precious angel could potentially kill her. Azumi gasped and covered her mouth with her hand. How could he tell her something like that! Megumi was to precious and awesome to be killed by a stupid test like this. Sure it was to test her determination but still, it was Megumi we were talking about here, her favorite other little person next to her own baby of course.
After standing up from her comfortable little spot, she grabbed Shizune and carried her in her arms before approaching her husband from behind. She drew back her hand and smacked the back of his head causing him to stumble forward.
"Don't say such things to that precious little angel! I swear if a hair on her head falls out of place, I'm going to get you Ryouji Onigata, and Shukumei too!"
After glancing at Megumi she smiled and hurried over to her to give her more encouragement by hugging her. She knew she could do it, no matter what that mean old Ryouji and Shukumei had in store for her. Naturally she was worried for her well being, but that's only because she cares for Megumi as if she was also her child.
"Don't let Ryouji scare you Emi! We won't let you get hurt, isn't that right Shizune!"
Shizune raised her arms into the air and put on a rather serious face. There was no way she would let her daddy or auntie hurt Megumi.
"I you get hurted Miss Lady Emi, mommy and me ish going to get them good."
The Mother and daughter duo held out their peace signs and smiled before giggling and hurrying to back down to watch this test. She shouted 'Good Luck' to Emi, knowing she's was really going to need it if she wanted to pass this test, especially with Ryouji and Shukumei together.

Hearing that the test could possibly kill her, it kind of made her worry. Was that what he wanted? Was he testing her determination of becoming a shinigami? Of course, who wouldn't be scared when someone says that something could kill them? Still, she wasn't going to let it stop her. it had to be alright to be scared, but she would have to be brave and get it done with. "I have to say I'm really scared when you say it like that, Mister Ryouji. Still, I wanna do this! I'll show you I can handle it!"
It wasn't that she was trying to act tough or whatnot. Her trembling gave it away that she was scared. She was seeing it like he wasn't going to kill her intentionally or something like that. She would have to get used to people releasing their full reiatsu. After all, it's not like she could become a Captain herself just yet. She would just have to do the very best she can do.
"I'm ready when you are!"

Stepping beside her brother, she folded her arms across her chest and sighed. Even she agreed that this may have been going a little overboard. Ryouji was an unconventional teacher. So his methods may be a little weird to her but it works, after all, Yuri turned out to be one hell of a Captain.
"Very well then, if you are truly ready Megumi, then we shall begin your test. Remember the only thing you have to do is stand up"
She turned to Ryouji whom had nodded to her. Was she supposed to hold back or wasn't she? She figured it would be more of a test if she didn't but she wasn't sure if Ryouji was going to hold back as well. The end result would be the same whether they did or didn't. She would push herself to stand, or she would suffocate under their combined strength.
Together the twins had begun to release all of their spiritual pressure as Ryouji warned Megumi that they would. Watching her little body hit the ground the way it did made her cringe, but she had to believe in herself, she had to know that she could stand again under the weight of Shukumei and Ryouji.

Even with her attempting to get back on her feet, Megumi just couldn't. She was being crushed under the weight of the twin's combined released spiritual pressure. She had no idea that they were this strong. How would she stand the chance of standing up? Maybe it was wrong of her to think that she could somehow pass the test. When she heard her name being called, she used her strength to look over to where the sound was coming from. She saw her mother, Azumi, and everyone else there cheering for her to stand up. She couldn't let them down and most importantly, she wasn't going to let herself down.
With all her might, the little one was trying to push herself up from the ground. Slowly, but surely, Emi was starting to rise up from the ground. Her arms were shaking in attempt to keep the rest of her body up. Little by little, she was starting to get up from the ground. When she was almost up on her knees, her arms gave way, slamming her hard into the ground. One eye was closed in pain, but she was trying to deal with it. Deep down, she just wanted to cry, but she knew she couldn't. She was more or less stuck between a rock and a hard place.
It felt like every bone in her tiny body was being crushed. She wanted to desperately get up. So, once again, Emi tried to push herself up from the ground. Her arms were wobbling, but she kept on pushing. Her effort got her into a hunched over position. She seemed to be in more pain than being flat on the ground. If she didn't hurry, she would really die. Maybe this was a mistake.. Maybe I should of said no to this. I'm not ready for something like this! No.. I can't give up.. It's my dream to be a Shinigami to protect everyone I care for. I won't let them down! I've got to stand up somehow.. But how?
Her mind had wondered off from the danger she was in and remembered something from the past. She had no idea why the memory came to mind. Regardless, it was when she was with her Mother and Shi. She was watching the two of them train while she was cheering Shi on.
-Flashback-
"Come on, Shizune. If you don't wear your mask now, you're going to end up dying. Are you scared of wearing it? I didn't think so. So, wear it! Show me what the daughter of Ryouji and Azumi can do!"
It was then when Shizune made her mask appear. Emi heard her mother chuckle and soon, she too, wore her Hollow Mask. All the spiritual pressure that was released was incredible. She had no idea that wearing a mask like that would make them so strong. It made her want to get her own so she could be just as strong as they are.
-End Flashback-
Then, Emi found the answer she was looking for. Even if it wasn't much, it could probably give her enough strength to finally stand up on her own two feet. It took a bit, but she was able to move herself up. Her body was trembling as it was struggling to keep itself from falling. She gradually moved her right hand to just over her eyes. Probably to them, they would think that something was happening to her. Well, in a way that is true. Black Reiatsu was coming from the spaces between her fingers. When the twins saw it, they seemed surprised. Bringing her hand down, she formed her Hollow mask.
With the boost in strength, Emi placed her hand on the ground, using it to push herself from the ground into a squatting position. She wasn't going to stop no matter how much spiritual pressure they would release. Little by little, she was straightening herself up until she was finally standing. Of course, she was shaking tremendously. However, her determination wouldn't allow her to fall back down onto the ground. "I..will show you two..No..Everyone.. That..I'm strong enough to..be a Shinigami!"

Shukumei had nearly forgotten who's child Megumi truly was. Even on that day on the beach all those years ago when everyone first met her, she threatened to hit Shizune with her mask. Though it was pretty smart of her to use it to help her stand, it wouldn't be enough, not today it wouldn't
"Such a clever girl. I forgot you were able to produce a mask and you are able to use it. However, since you decided that it would be a good idea to wear it, I think I'm going to make this much much harder for you. Are you ready?
A slight and rather vicious smirk formed to Shukumei's lips as she slowly reached back to grab her Zanpakutou. She began to grasp for the hilt and found out that it was not where it always was.
"Huh?"
Out of nowhere she head that same vicious and highly annoying laughter off in the distance. She instantly narrowed her eyes and turned in the direction it was coming from and saw that Tatsumaki had stolen her Zanpakutou. Her left eye began to twitch as she stood there watching Tatsumaki laughing at her.
"Beauty wins again Shukumei!"
Tatsumaki began to laugh before vanishing from sight. Shukumei grunted and began to chase after her to get her Zanpakutou back.She didn't even care about Megumi's test, she just wanted to beat up on Tatsumaki for stealing her Zanpakutou again.

To be honest, Megumi was quite confused as to why Shukumei would be chasing after her Zanpaktou's Spirit. Still, she might as well take advantage of the situation while she had the chance. Of course, it still wasn't totally easy. It was just sort easier to stand up without Shukumei releasing all her her spiritual pressure as well. If she didn't know any better, he was trying to make up for his sister not being there to help...so to speak. Was he going to put on his mask as well? It was a scary thought, but she had to be prepared.
Just barely was she able to stay up on her feet. She was trying the best she could under the circumstances. She'll be glad when they decide if she passes the test or not. Even if she was just standing there, she was starting to get exhausted from all of it. Then again, it could be that she was feeling weak from the constant release the twins.. well Ryouji was giving off. Maybe if she could hold out just a little bit longer.. She wanted to ask them if she had past the test, but it could result in him putting on his mask or something to make her crash back in the ground. All she could do was really wait.

Even with her Auntie Mei-mei running around chasing that pretty lady with the wings, Miss Lady Emi was still struggling. There had to be something she could do to help. After all, her father could not resist her cute little girl charms. She broke free from her mothers arms and stood up in front of her.
"DADDY...HEY DADDY!!!"
She began to wave her arms around vibrantly before realizing that she wasn't going to get an answer from him. She folded her arms across her chest and then huffed. She sat down on the ground and stuck out her lower lip. How dare he, how dare he ignores his little girl like that! Now the little one was angry and she was going to get him to pay attention to her, even if she had to reveal her biggest secret!
"DAAAAAAADDYYYYYY I LUFF YOU!!!!!"
He still ignored her and now the little one was totally angry with her father. It was like he was in a totally different world or something. He couldn't be having that much fun with Miss Lady Emi without her could he? It wasn't fair now she wanted to take the test too!
Since he was ignoring her, she was going to break her biggest secret ever, her mother doesn't even know yet. She giggled before standing up again. Shizune dusted off her little clothes. She spaced her legs out a little bit before crossing her arms, forming a sort of X pattern, she used her tiny hands to cover both sides of her face. She peeked through the spaces in her fingers to see if her daddy was watching her yet.
"Otay here I go! SHIZUNE SUPER SECRET SUPRISE ATTACK!!!"
Upon bringing down her hands, her very own hollow mask appeared on her face. She placed one of her hands on her hips and held the other one out forming a peace sign. She giggled loudly that was until a rather large shadow approached her from behind.
"SHIZUNE!!!!"
The little one whipped around to see her mother standing there, staring at her as if she couldn't believe it. Shizune herself began to rock back and forth, like she was losing her balance. Eventually she fell forward, face first on to the ground. The moment the mask impacted with the ground, it broke, leaving her laying there. The baby rolled over onto her back and held up her hands wanting to be picked up by her mother, but her mommy didn't acknowledge it at all. Instead she turned her back to the little one and began to sniffle.

After witnessing what her little innocent baby girl did, Azumi started screaming and crying as hard as she could. She was in total disbelief, she just didn't want to believe it at all. Her little innocent baby was a total freak just like her father and Aunt and Yuri and even Emi!
"My baby is a meat ball head mask wearing freak, just like her father...only...only he doesn't have the meatballs"
She continued to bawl her little eyes out until...she started to feel faint. Her visioned started to blur slowly, She began to stumble around before falling backwards and collapsing onto the ground. The shock was just to much for her. She knew that Future Shizune was a vizard just like Ryouji and the others, but...but not her baby, why could she produce such a horrible tool of power and destruction at the sweet, loving, tender age of four!
It just wasn't right, no sweet little angel should be able to do that, this was a bad dream she was having during a nap or something...that was it...yeah surely Ryouji will wake her up and tell her that she's beautiful and that he loves her with all of his heart and wants to take her shopping.

During Megumi's test, he felt a the slight spiritual pressure of a Hollow and it broke his concentration completely because it was so close. He turned away from Megumi and unsheathed his Zanpakutou, looking around to see what happened. It was then he saw, Azumi laying on the ground with the little one shaking her attempting to wake her up. Ryouji sheathed his Zanpakutou quickly and rushed over to his fallen wife.
Raising her head off of the ground slightly, Ryouji placed an arm under her head, using it as a prop to keep her elevated. The baby clung to her father's shoulder and peaked over to see if her mommy was alright. It was a rather weird time to be napping.
"Azumi honey....what happened? Are you okay?"
When he didn't receive an answer from her. He didn't know what to do next, he looked around to make sure no one was staring at him. He didn't like it when he had to show affection in front of people.
"Kiss her daddy!!"
It was then he forgot that the little one was hanging from his back. He sighed knowing that it would probably be the only thing to wake her up since she's overly dramatic in that sort of way. He gave her a quick kiss, the only one to disapprove was little Shi. She began to scold him, like she knew any damn better. Shi shoved her father's head down and forced him to kiss Azumi.
When she began to stir, Ryouji forced his head back and caressed her cheek and when she opened her eyes he smiled, though only for a second.
"Are you feeling well?"

Still a bit shaken, Emi knew that she had to get back on her feet somehow. Since Shukumei was chasing after her own Zanpaktou and Ryouji was checking on Azumi, she was able to stand. Sliding the mask to the top of her head, she noticed that Azumi was on the ground and appeared to be unconscious. What could of happened to of caused that? She went over to the family, tilting her head to the side. Azumi was starting to come to at least. For now, the test would have to stop so he can tend to her.
Taking off the mask, Emi crushed it, returning back to normal. To be honest, she's glad that she's getting somewhat of a break. Of course, she was more worried about Azumi though. "M..Mister Ryouji,, i think it would be for the best if we stop the test.. You should look after Azumi!"

When Azumi opened her eyes, she stared straight into Ryouji's eyes. She was totally out of it. Behind Ryouji were a bunch of glittery thingies, like in anime when the pretty woman meets the man of her dreams. She gasped and began to blush harshly.
"Azumi...you are the love of my life and in this world, nothing completes me more than you"
Upon hearing this in her head, she turned a darker shade of red before covering her cheeks. She began to giggle while continuing to stare into the eyes of her romantic husband.
"Oh Ryouji, for the longest time, I've always dreamed to hear you say those words. DON'T STOP SPEAKING!!!"
Everywhere that wasn't inside Azumi's own little romantic world, whatever she was dreaming, wasn't really happening, everyone was just standing over her looking at her as if she had finally snapped and lost her mind.
Back into her lovely little dream, Azumi took Ryouji's hand and held it firmly. When he smiled, his white teeth glistened like the morning sun. They were so perfect much like she was.
"Azumi...there has been something I've wanted to do for you since we've gotten married. How would you like it if I...took you shopping?"
Azumi gasped and crawled away from Ryouji, she couldn't believe it...he...he wanted to take her...shopping. This...was to good to be true, no way. He could never stand taking her shopping.
"I...I don't know what to say...I..oh my"
Her eyes were all googly and big, kind of like when she saw Megumi for the first time. She just began to laugh while keeping her cheeks covered. Meanwhile outside of her own little world, everyone was staring at each other wondering what it was that was wrong with her, the little one shook her mother before clinging to her and crying.
"Mommy ish sick, daddy we...we have to take her to see the doctor!"
Upon hearing the crying of her daughter Azumi snapped out of it and glanced down seeing Shizune hugging her and crying. She didn't know what the hell was going on. She didn't see anymore romantic glittery sparks, it was just a totally creepy moment.
"Shizune...why are you crying. You don't have to cry I'm okay, I was um just daydreaming. Mommy is fine I promise"
After rubbing the little ones head, she hugged her baby as tight as she could before getting a small giggle out of her. Since she was dreaming, does that mean her putting on that freaky mask was a dream too...yeah it had to be, there was just no way a four year old could do something like that. After being helped up by Ryouji, she glanced at him and giggled nervously. The way he was staring at her was a clear indication that he was worried about her at least mentally, but she was fine.
"Stop looking at me like that, I am fine honey, now because you were so worried about me, you had to stop Megumi's test, now she's going to have to go through it all over again."

After helping Azumi up. Ryouji rubbed the back of his head before shifting his attention to Megumi When Azumi pointed out that she would have to take the test again Ryouji sighed knowing that she would have to, but she did manage to stay on her feet so maybe he should cut her some slack, seeing how she really wants to be a Shinigami and all.
"Megumi won't have to take the test again. She is standing after all. She remained determined throughout the entirety of her test, so I think she's ready."
The fact that he was able to actually witness her call her mask and put it on with such ease actually made the decision that much easier for him to make. This new generation, were in a class all on their own. It was almost scary what Megumi's true potential could be. She did remind him a lot of Yuri back in the day. At least with him training her, she could help to keep their future safe.
"Now there is but one thing left to do, she must undergo shinigamification, however she cannot take power from me, nor anyone else here. We will be needed for the fight. The question is...how?"

When Emi heard that she might have to do the test over again, it kind of made her worry. It took everything she had to even be standing now. Then, Ryouji said she wouldn't have to since she already past the test. Without all of the spiritual pressure being released, it was like a burden was lifted from her shoulders..kind of literally too. Her strength was coming back so she could do one thing: Jump up and down in excitement and scream like..well..a school girl. Her mother would be so proud when she finds out!
"I did it! I did it!"
She goes running over to Azumi, checking on her to see if she was alright. After a quick glance, Emi just grabs her hands and starts jumping again, unable to contain her excitement. "Miss Azumi, I did it! I knew I could! Well, I was a bit worried, of course, but I wasn't gonna give up! Mama and Big Shi told me to never give up! Also, it was real easy with you and little Shi cheering me on!" Now that she past the test, all that was left was to become a Shinigami. Ryouji made mention that she would have to go through a process called Shinigamification. It kind of sounded scary, but if she can pass the twins test, there was nothing she couldn't do!

From seeing Megumi jump around in excitement made Yuri chuckle. It seemed natural for her to express it since she was able to withstand the twin's released spiritual pressure. What surprised her though was how easy she called her mask. For her to do something like that, her parents must be something else. That was something else that caught her attention about Megumi. There was something about her that reminded Yuri of herself all those years back. Well, it wasn't that many years, but it felt like it. So determined to prove something to everyone.. Megumi was acting just like her. Could that mean.. They're related? Nah, it couldn't be. Her? Have a daughter or a relative like that? It just didn't seem possible. It's not like Ronin and her have done something like that. Just thinking about it made her cover her face and blush a lot.
After seeing that everyone was staring at her, she laughed nervously and got back on track. "Let's see.. There's not that many Shinigami in town.. and the ones that come to mind probably won't do it.." If push came to shove, they might not have a choice about having to give up their power to help Megumi. That would have to be the last thing to come if all else fails. There had to be something that they weren't thinking of. What could it be? Yuri's mind was drifting back, thinking of all the people that they have known over the years. Only thing that came to mind was the Original Six since well, they're waging war against Soul Society. There was Shiva, who released them with Azumi's help. Then game Hina who sealed them to begin with. Finally, it hit her. She remembered a human female being able to use a Kido spell against Kyou some time ago before Azumi got kidnapped. That would be their lead.
"I just remembered something. Remember how Shiva was looking for a Key to unlock the Original Six?Er.. Let me just get to the point. I remember seeing Eriko...I think that was her name.. use a Kido spell against Kyou. That means she's either a full Shinigami or at least has Shinigami blood in her. So.. What about her? I recall her letting us stay at her shine while her father kept it safe for us.. What about them? Maybe they can help."

After celebrating with Megumi, Azumi stopped jumping and turned to Yuri when she mentioned the shrine. She must have meant the Karasumas. Little Eriko, she hasn't seen her in so long, she had to be an adult by now. Some godmother she turned out to be! Now she was all sad and stuff. She'd just have to cheer herself up later with cookies.
"I forgot about the Karasuma's. Wow that was so long ago,when I was kidnapped. Oh listen to me, sounding like an old woman."
She forgot that Hina was the squad leader over the group of shinigami who infiltrated Hueco Mundo all those years ago, she was so touchy she never really got along with anyone, not even her love interest at the time. She glanced over to Hina who was glaring a hole through her and she quickly turned her head away and looked in the other direction.

With her mother asking her for help, the little one placed her finger to her chin to help her think of a last name...she didn't know very many last names so she said the first one that came to mind.
"ONIGATA!!!!"
Azumi frowned up, a little disappointed in her daughter's wittiness, though if she was going to be anything like her bigger self, it wouldn't last long. Or at least she hoped it wouldn't. She slowly turned back to glance at Hina a second time and she was still being glared at.
"Fine I'm sorry I didn't tell you he was living in town, so much has happened since I last saw him or Eriko. We should totally go visit them, I wonder how much Eriko has grown up, plus I'm certain she would like to meet Shizune. Plus at least that way you can finally confront him."
