Past to Present

[Ronin]

[flashback]

Ronin had heard the orders, but it was his town. Did they really expect him to do nothing? To let all his friends and neighbors die? Well anyone who knew him knew he wasn't going to. He went to one of the hot spots, destroying hollows as they attacked. Unlike most other times, they kept coming. He must have killed over 200 hollow, still no end in sight. He activated his Bankai, destroying more and more hollow.

Damn, this isn't good... Why do they keep coming? There must be thousands of them...

He kept swinging, growling in frustration.

[Yuri Nakayama]

Yuri was one of the few who got sent to Kurakara town in order to figure out what was causing the abnormal increase of Hollow activity. She should have figured it out by now, but with the many hollows that kept on coming at her, it was a slow process. Finally cutting though some, she gets to high ground to take a look around. Off in the distance, she sensed a familiar reiatsu that wasn't too far away.

He's here?

She flashsteps to his area, striking down a Hollow that was going to attach him from behind. In a way, she felt bad that it took all this for her to come visit him. Then again, she did often sneak in visits. She gave a light smile before turning[ her back to him to watch his backside.

"Having fun dealing with these?"

[Ronin]

Ronin smirked,swinging one sword to destroy a hollow coming toward Yuri's right flank.

"For once, no! Why the hell are there so many? There must be thousands of them..."

He kept swinging his swords, trying to bring an end to this sick game. Something was different about this, but he didn't know what exactly was different.

[Yuri Nakayama]

Yuri could only chuckle as the two of them kept killing hollows. It did seem like there was no end to the Hollow army. Still, they had to keep fighting in order to figure out what was going on. The more they killed, the more that appeared. It was getting annoying. Though, something did come to mind. As she tried to make it well.. make sense, she was distracted for just a second, getting slightly injured. Seeing her hurt, Ronin quickly went to her. She reassured him that she was alright.


"I'm fine.. just a flesh wound. Watch your back!"

She slashed at a hollow that was about to attack and he did the same for her. She chuckles, waiting to see what happens next.

[Ronin]

Ronin helped Yuri up as they kept fighting, looking around. instead of thinning their numbers, the hollow seemed to be increasing in number.

"Something is wrong here... this is impossible... Yuri, has this ever happened before?"

He cut several more hollow to pieces, narrowing his eyes.

[Yuri Nakayama]

Yuri couldn't think of a time where it has. Then again, with all the fighting going on, she really couldn't think. Though, when the hollows decreased to the point where the all vanished, it gave her time to think. There was that one time where she went to Big Shizune, Megumi, and Azumi since there was a lot of hollows appearing. That was the only time, honestly.

"Only one time after I recovered from defeating my Hollow."

What has her worried now is that the hollows have more or less retreated. What a baffling case indeed. Still, it gave her some time to think of who or what could be doing this. n all honestly, the only person that could control hollows to this degree was Shin.

"Shin is the only person I can think of that can control Hollows like this. We may have to hunt him down for answers."

[Ronin]

Ronin cut a giant hollow's head off with an X shaped slash, shifting his eyes to Yuri. He then slid into a group of hollow, punching the ground an a pillar of fire engulfing them all.

"You think he has the power to control this many?"

He kept killing hollow, making his way back to Yuri.

[Yuri Nakayama]

It was a good question. She tried to think back to the time where she was in that room while in Shin's care. There were so many hollows and Menos there. It was a good possibility, but there would be no reason to go on a search with a hunch. Still, what else could they do?

"I suppose, it's nothing more than a hunch. i would assume he has relocated so I have no idea where he is."

At least now, with the hollows gone, they had a moment to rest. She sheathes her sword, but makes sure to stay on her guard. Sighing, she turns to Ronin.

"What now?"

[Ronin]

Ronin sheathed his swords and reverted to normal. He watched for signs of hollow, his eyes darting around.

"I don't know, you are the ranking person here, what's our next play?"

He kept looking around, searching for signs of movements.

[Yuri Nakayama]

She wasn't sure what to do. Maybe she should head back to Soul Society to give her report. Then again, if she did leave, the Hollows could come back. So, she would have to stay and make sure that nothing else goes wrong. this seems to fit the human phrase 'the calm before the storm'. She rubs the back of her head, motioning Ronin to follow her as she flashsteps up onto a roof of a nearby building so they would have the high ground.

"At least this way, we can watch below and above us."

[Luna Cortez]

Tsk Tsk tsk, if it wasn't for their scents they might have escaped her entirely, but the certain stench of a traitor and her little lover doesn't go unnoticed. After appearing from her usage of sonido, The Savage Huntress clapped very loudly and annoyingly to capture their attention.

"Well done kitten...and her boytoy? I can't believe it, I haven't smelt your unique stench in quite some time. Kitten you must be truly happy to have reunited with your long lost love. Dear me, it makes me so sick to see you two together. Did you smile when you see him Kitten? Did it bring back fonder memories of happier days...days that have long since passed? Is any of this getting through to you Yuri Nakayama?"

Of course it wasn't, but it didn't matter if she did or didn't remember, Master Jin said she could play and have her way with Yuri. That's all that mattered, she was tired of not being remembered, someone who has known her for quite sometime. Only to be forgotten, replaced by some ignorant human.

"I'm going to make you regret forgetting me Yuri...I'm going to make you regret the fact that you became a shinigami and I'm going to make you regret ever replacing me. I'm going to tear the flesh from your bones and watch you bleed to death!"

Luna giggled as she glanced down to the two demi hollows that were always following her around. She petted them while staring at Yuri waiting to here the excuses she would come up with.

[Yuri Nakayama]

Memories? Being replaced? what the hell was she talking about? It was true that these past few events have overwhelmed her with a feeling of deja vu, she just couldn't put her finger on it. Ever since the arrival of Jin, it seems like she's been obsessed with making her remember. Remember what, exactly? She was honestly trying to remember who Luna was. The name sounded so familiar. Like she heard it way before she met Luna. Who would of thought thinking so hard would give her a headache. It feels like she's trying to remember nothing. Then, there were flashes of various memories.


She saw herself in a house, with a young lady. They were talking.. becoming friends. The young lady looked very similar to Luna. Yuri had a hand on her head as it did feel sort of painful. The more she thought of it, the more she kept seeing the same person who looked exactly like the Luna before her. Why.. did they look the same? How could they be the same person? That had to be it.. The young lady and Luna.... they were one in the same.

"You..You..Can't be.."

She was trying to keep her composure, but it was proving to be quite a struggle. She was quite sure of it. If the woman in her memories or what she believed are her memories was Luna, then at the time she was alive...they were friends. Then..How did they die? She did remember telling Shukumei that she remembered seeing an outline of a Hollow and then waking up in Soul Society in the Squad Four barracks. That, and something that was very painful.. Maybe it was that pain.. and the fact that she died that made her forget.

"You're...the one... I... I remember... It's in bits and pieces.. but from what I gathered... We were both alone.. We were there for each other... Then..The hollows...Killed us...And then..."

She couldn't continue to recall these memories. They were way too painful. How was she sure these were her actual memories? There could have been no way they were fabricated.. These had to be real. What reason would she have to lie if she was really obsessed in making her remember?

"..Are you happy now? It's not like I intentionally forgot...Though I suppose it's unnatural for Shinigami to retain human memories.. Still.. I'm not a normal Shinigami... Why was this so important? What are you intending to do now that I recall the truth?"

[Luna Cortez]

What purpose did it serve to make her remember who she was and what they once were? Truth was she didn't have an answer, it just wasn't right to her that she would forget someone who has known her who claimed to be her friend, but completely abandoned her and left her to become a hollow while she was whisked away to the soul society.

"Things could have been different you know. Much different, we could have continued our friendship for the rest of time itself...but it wasn't meant to be. I thought...we could have been friends forever. NO...fate deemed it unnecessary to craft a bond with a human...we were too different. It was as if you were the day and I was the night. You were so pure hearted...so loving...I gave you what you wanted most... a friend SOMEONE WHO WOULD BE THERE FOR YOU!!! You didn't give me a damn thing!!!!"

Running her fingers through her hair she began to chuckle before falling down to her knees. The memories of what they had were special to her...until she did nothing! Her chuckles grew louder eventually it became this twisted laughter.

"That was the reason Yuri...when I was turned into a hollow...I wanted to take you with me....so in my anger...and rage...I...clawed your body...and I freed you from your fleshy prison...While you were down...I crawled over to you and watched as you laid there....you stared at me....and then passed out. It was my chance, to reunite us forever! You were close Yuri...if I had another another minute, I would have turned you into a hollow completely..."

Luna tilted her head back slightly and continued in her sadistic laughter. It wasn't meant to be. They came and rescued her before she could finish. It wasn't fair! It was as if Yuri was meant to be the Shinigami, she was never sent to the other side...she was meant to linger the world of the living for eternity.

"It doesn't matter now does it Kitten...you've become this big bad ass Captain...trained by your former captain...and you even had the chance to find love. While you went on with your life...time stopped for me....I was alone...constantly fighting for survival...you forgot about me!!"

Luna tilted her head to the side as she glanced at Yuri with the eye that wasn't covered by her hair and gave a wicked smile. She chuckled before rising to her feet again slowly.

"I...just want you to suffer...the way I did. I want you to under...stand what its like...to watch someone you care for be torn from you...but it won't be like how it was for you and me Kitten...I want you to watch and remember everything...I want you...to feel what its like to lose someone important to you! I want you to lose a friend...and then maybe you will understand what I feel...when I look at you."

[Mood Music...Treachery]


Luna glanced down at her two demi hollows and smiled. She began to laugh again, only louder as her spiritual pressure began to climb at a much accelerated rate. The demi hollows began to howl as Luna reached for her Zanpakutou while continuing to laugh. Once she gripped it she pulled it free from its sheath and pointed it at Yuri. She was so angry she was even salavating a little from the corner of her mouth. She wanted this so badly...she could taste it. That feeling she mentioned...wasn't hard to figure out. She wanted Yuri to feel everything she was feeling right now...

"HATRED!!!!!!"

[Yuri Nakayama]

As Luna spoke, it just made her heart sink. Why would she say something like that? It's not like she purposefully forgot about her. Even listening to her talk about how she could of been there for her made her remember the times that they were together in the real world. There were words that were said one day. She and Luna made a promise one day.. She can recall each and every word.

"This will be a promise that we’ll always be there for each other no matter what happens. Even if by some chance we get separated, we’ll find each other"

And yet, she wasn't. She was brought to Soul Society and became a Shinigami that would eventually have to fight Hollows and anything else that would threaten Soul Society. To believe that she forgot her very first friend...what gave her the right to act so protective of everyone else? Then when she heard Luna had intended for her to be a Hollow and eventually Arrancar so they could still remain friends, it felt like her world shattered. She..was killed by Luna and nearly hollowfied by her. What had stopped the process? In even more painful flashes, she could see it. Her own ...her own Hollowification. She was scared..who wouldn't be? She struggled through the process and eventually passed out. Was that struggle how she became a Vizard?

If that was the case, that would explain why her Hollow was so desperate to gain control. That's the friend Luna wanted.. Perhaps she did deserve such a fate if she truly did turn her back on her one true friend. How could she possibly fight back? It was as if her very heart and morale were basically extinguished. Nothing she could say could ever make her feel right. Perhaps..by giving up and letting Luna have her way with her could somehow fix things. If it meant the safety of her friends, family, and Soul Society, It would be a worthy sacrifice. Right now, she's only thinking out of guilt and regret and not thinking of other consequences her actions would take.

"It wasn't intentional, Luna! Those days brought me great joy! When I was turning into a Hollow.. I was scared... I was panicking.. Weren't you the same during your Hollowification? Even so.. You did all that..for not just me.. For us.. To remain friends.. I know nothing I say will ever make it right.. All I can say is leave the others out of it. If you truly want your revenge.. Then make me a Hollow as you wanted to back then.."

Maybe it wasn't Her Shinigami side of her that was remembering.. Could it of been her Hollow? It had to of been since it was roughly 'born' around that time. All her memories as a human must of been buried deep within it. If she was remembering all of this..what did it mean? It didn't matter anyway. There was going to be a fight that she couldn't avoid,

"However.. I won't make it easy for you.. The outcome of this battle is in your hands, Luna. Perhaps...you can rewrite fate if you are able to win."

Of course, even if they do fight, she wouldn't be able to seriously harm Luna. She wasn't sure she would be able to harm her at all. All she could do now is wait to see what happens.

[Future Shizune]

Having a hard to coming to terms with what was going on between her present day mentor and the Arrancar Luna...Shizune could no longer just sit idly by. She felt that Lady Yuri was talking non-sense. Perhaps the shock of finding out the truth of her Hollowification made her say something she did not truly mean. In any case, she wasn't going to sit this one out like she did the battle with her Uncle Jin.

Appearing out of a flash step, she stood in front of Lady Yuri with her back turned to her, how could such a thing. If something were to happen to her, then Megumi would never be born and she could not allow such a thing to come to pass.

"I'm sorry for the intrusion Lady Yuri, but I followed you back just in case something were to 'hold you up so to speak."

She was so angry she was shaking, joking or not how could she even give this arrancar the notion that she could have a chance of changing things.

"I never thought I'd say this to you...but to even say such a thing, seriously or not angers me Lady Yuri, how could you ever say such a thing. I've never been more...furious with you than I am now!"

Luna caught her attention by laughing obnoxiously loud. She couldn't find herself seeing anything positive coming out of this situation. Even still...with what Lady Yuri said...she wouldn't let her fight. Even if it meant she herself would have to try and subdue the only mother she's ever really known.

"Judging by your scent girly...you're Ryouji's little girl...I have to admit...you are a pretty little thing. You look just like your mother...and I'm sure you are just as dumb and annoying as she is. Aww what's the matter, is the little girl going to get angry. GET REAL! You couldn't touch me on your best day...besides this doesn't concern you, go back to your mommy and daddy. I would hate that Kitten would have to tell them their baby won't be coming home."

Luna laughed again, but there was nothing funny going on here. Shizune's face told exactly what she was feeling it wasn't sadness...it was anger...and she knew better than to let it get to her, but she couldn't help it. She was highly frustrated with Lady Yuri right now and everything right now. Glancing back to Lady Yuri, Shizune kept her serious disposition. It was exactly like the look Lady Yuri had given her when Jin was fighting with everyone. She then turned to face Luna.

Gripping the hilt of her Zanpakutou with her right hand, once it was free, she extended it out to her side. She raised her hand and covered her face, glaring at Luna through the spacing in her fingers. A huge wall of spiritual pressure appeared in front of her and when it cleared, Shizune stood wearing her mask and her Zanpakutou had entered its Bankai.

The blade was made of pure energy and its length was enormous, it was being fueled by her anger. She pointed the blade at Luna and was now ready to get rid of some of that pent up aggression.

[Yuri Nakayama]

Yuri could only stare at Shizune when she appeared in front of her. There was nothing she could say to her right now. Still, she was trying to figure out why she was so mad at her. What she said about her being mad about her saying Luna could turn her into a hollow.. Why did it ring a bell?

I'll never forgive you if Megumi is never born!

That was when it hit her. She was worried for Megumi. Even though she understood that Emi was her daughter, she never really had a chance to be motherly to her. She just couldn't explain it. Maybe she was, in a way, scared to try with the way things were going on lately. Now... Now she understands. Even if Megumi came from the future.. She was her child.. Her Flesh and blood and her safety should be placed above all else.

smiling faintly, Yuri got a glimpse of that serious look that was being given to her by Shizune. It was very clear to her that she was indeed Ryouji's daughter. Regardless of that, thanks to her, her morale was regained. She can't worry about what happened in the past. Sure, she hated how things turned out, but there is nothing she can do now other than to survive to protect not just Megumi, but everyone else who meant everything to her.

"You really are your father's daughter. That look you just gave me reminds me of him."

Yuri moved her hand to the hild of her Zanpaktou, unsheathing it, pointing it at Luna. She wasn't going to allow Luna to hurt or kill anyone she holds dear. She will not let history repeat itself. That, and she couldn't let Shizune fight all alone.

"Thank you, Shizune. Thank you for helping me see what I said was idiotic. I knew what Emi was to me, but I guess the full effects never truly sunk in. Now.. I truly do understand what she means to me.. Seriously though, you can stop glaring at me like that. I get it enough from your father when I do something stupid. I dont' need you ganging up on me too!"

[Luna Cortez]

Aww wasn't this cute, Kitten was going to protect the daughter of the man who taught her everything she knows. It was so cute it almost made her sick to her stomach. It made her giggle even more so, but not because of what she was witnessing...but more or less how quick they were to try to fight with her. It didn't matter any, neither one of them had enough strength to bring her down at this point.

Luna flipped her Zanpakutou upside down while holding it by the hilt. The blade began to glow brightly. When she looked up to the two of them, her giggles had ceased and her vicious smile had taken over.

"Eclipse...GETSUEI!!!!"

After being swallowed whole by a wave of spiritual energy, when it vanished Luna stood in her hollow form. She was...gigantic and savage. She began to salavate as she stood staring at the two vizard. Luna began to clinch and unclinch her claws respectively as she stared at them. She dropped down onto her foreclaws and lowered her head before raising it quickly and howling incredibly loud causing the gravity in the area around her to increase.

"I was...given permission...to use it. I will show you...now Yuri...my real...power"

Luna threw herself up on to her hind legs and began to laugh as her body began to glow brightly. The spiritual pressure she was pushing out at this point had increased greatly.

"SEGUNDO...DISPARO!!!"

Her body was swallowed whole a second time by a much larger wall of spiritual energy...inside of that wall, another transformation was taking place. Luna had once again regained a humanoid form. Her two demi hollows had been transformed into monsters of a different sort. When the wall cleared, Luna stood there, the fur from her original resurreccion had become more or less a pelt that was draped over her shoulders and covered most if not all of her upper body in her hands were the demi hollows whom had transformed themselves into gun type weapons. Her sense of smell was far more powerful and potent in this form than in any other. She was much faster and way stronger. However it was her agility that made her truly frightening.

"I do apologize ahead of time...its been a long time since I've used this form. Forgive me for kicking both of your asses while I get use to it again."

A slight smirk formed to her face as Luna holstered her guns and flipped her slightly grown hair out of her face...not that she needed to see anything now that her sense of smell was all she needed.

[Yuri Nakayama]

Yuri could only stare in horror as Luna showed her second.. or third form. It was one or the other, but it didn't matter to Yuri what number it was. The reiatsu she was feeling was tremendous. Still, even if Luna was stronger, Yuri was going to make sure that she was defeated. With that kind of strength and power being..resonated, she has no other choice but to wear her mask. Moving a hand over her face, she stared at Luna between the spaces of her fingers. It was thanks to her that she had both this power and 'curse'.

"I suppose you got what you wished for, in a sense. Regardless of what you may want, Luna, I cannot allow myself to be defeated her. I'll use this power that you gave me to defeat you!"

As she brought her hand down, her Hollow mask formed. In the back of her mind, she was worried what would happen, but she knew she doesn't have time to worry about it. If her Inner Hollow does cause trouble, then she'll just defeat it again like she has in the past.

"Bloom nobly , Mujitsuhana."

As her Zanpaktou transformed into its Shikai, Yuri peformed a flash step to appear in front of Luna to make the first strike. As Luna fased from view for a slight moment, it was too late for Yuri to notice where she went. The captain could feel the injury that was inflicted on her shoulder by the Savage Huntress. Each time Yuri tried to attack, Luna was able to counter her every step. It was truly getting frustrating.

"I don't mind playing tag, Luna, but try to cut me some slack here."

It wasn't meant to be funny. Well, kinda sorta. She had no idea why she was trying to joke around about the situation at hand. How the hell was she going to counter that speed? Sighing, she uses her free hand to rub the back of her head. With another flash step, Yuri tried once more to land an attack, but she just couldn't land a hit. It was obvious that Luna was toying with her. It felt like it was something they did while they were alive or something. Probably if they did, Yuri probably figured that she wasn't able to catch her then. What made now any different?

"I suppose this was to be expected. You were always light on your feet."

The fight had just barely begun and here she was with a slight injury. It was nothing major. It just hurt like hell was all and Luna doesn't have a scratch on her.This was going to be a long battle indeed.

[Future Shizune]

Watching Lady Yuri and the Arrancar play this game was far more frustrating than it should have been. Luna was ridiculously fast now that she had revealed a second release state. She's never heard of something like that, there were rumors that there was another Arrancar some time ago with the same type of power...but he was defeated by a substitute Shinigami. It did give her some sort of idea. After flash stepping to Lady Yuri's location she stood beside her.

"Lady Yuri I have an idea. It may give us a chance to inflict some damage on her. Do you...remember something rather Unique about your Zanpakutou...the one my father helped you get over? What if you were to use it to throw off our opponent so that we could gain an advantage."

After giving her the nod, Shi, narrowed her eyes as she felt an ominous presence behind her. She glanced back and saw Luna standing there with one of those wretched gun hollow thingies pointed at her back. She was...way faster now, she was just standing in front of Lady Yuri and it only took her a second or two to explain her idea. She didn't even notice it until she finished talking. There was no telling how long she was standing there.

At that point she had no time to react. She managed to read Luna's lips as she spoke softly...she said the word "Cero"...and then fired one from the gun at point blank range which sent Shi hurling down toward the ground. Before she hit the ground, Shizune thrusts her Zanpakutou into the ground and managed to slow her fall down tremendously before she crashed into the ground. After a few minutes of collecting herself she stood up while Looking up at the Arrancar hovering there near her mentor. It was like she wasn't even worried if Yuri tried something or not. While she was overly arrogant, she was honestly anxious to get back in there and try again. Maybe she couldn't keep the Onigata in her from emerging after all.

[Yuri Nakayama]

It kind of did make sense, but just hearing the whole thing made Yuri blush from embarrassment. How on Earth did she figure that one out? Maybe her future self told her or she just found out on her own. Still, if it could give them just a slight advantage, then it would be worth it. After all, watching Shi get knocked tot he ground so effortlessly, they had to do something if they were expected to win.

"I suppose.. That was suppose to stay a secret!"

Yuri was holding her Zanpaktou, ready to give Mujitsuhana the command to release her sweet scent. It was then when Luna pointed one of her guns at her as if she was daring her to even try it.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Kitten."

Well, there went that idea. It was to be expected if Luna had gotten behind Shizune to where she didn't notice until after they were done talking. Yuri then rubs the back of her head, seeming a little frustrated. This was getting more and more...annoying. She was beginning to hate how Luna was toying with them. Even so, if she were to mention that fact, there would be the chance that she would become 'serious'.

This is getting nowhere. She's too fast. Perhaps if I can keep her distracted, that may give Shi a chance to see an opening. She may figure it out, but hopefully, it will be too late.

With a flash step and Sonido, the two returned to their 'game of tag'. As she kept trying, Yuri couldn't help but to remember how things used to be. If only they could of been different.. If only she could of been purified as a Hollow. This wouldn't be happening if that was the case. Seeing her slight Hesitation, Luna closes the distance between them, having a gun pointed at her. Before Yuri could even react, she was more or less shot down. As she crashed into the ground, she could only stare up to see Luna was already there and looked like she was ready for a killing blow.

[Future Shizune]

After watching the display between her mentor and the Arrancar, it was official...they were being made to look like fools under Luna's speed. Its ridiculous, honestly she was looking forward to getting back in there and hopefully turning things around. However it wasn't looking good. She really was toying with them, it didn't matter, she couldn't let Lady Yuri get hurt. With a flash step of her own, she traveled the distance that was between herself, Luna and Lady Yuri, when she appeared, Luna was already pointing one of those damned guns at her. She quickly flash stepped again, appearing behind her, Luna had already pointed the gun backwards.

There really was no escaping her whatsoever. She was already pointing at her twice before she had even reappeared from her flash step. There was she really able to predict where she would end up even before she does? Then she had an idea...she quickly shut her eyes before asking Lady Yuri to do the same!

"Your eyes Lady Yuri Shield them! ...Blind them Kiyoraka Assarishita no Mikomi!"

Upon uttering the command and full name of her Zanpakutou, the blade released a blinding light from the blade itself. Its an ability that causes anyone who stares at the light to be blinded temporarily. Shizune herself can't even look into the light or else she would fall victim to it as well. Once the light had cleared...Luna was on the ground covering her face from the bright light...it worked! Now they truly had an advantage. After being cursed and sworn at constantly by Luna, a rather big smile came to Shizune's face, if she couldn't see...then maybe she couldn't predict where either herself or Lady Yuri could come from. She hurried over to Lady Yuri to help her up

"Now we can really pay her back for making us look foolish!"

[Yuri Nakayama]

Yuri did as she was told and closed her eyes. From hearing Shizune call for her Shikai and Luna cursing, whatever Shizune did must have worked. Opening one eye slowly and then the next, Yuri got up with Shizune's help. Now that Luna was blinded for the moment, they could indeed, at least, inflict some kind of injury.

"Good thinking. Let's use this to our advantage while we still have the chance."

Shizune gave a nod and then the two started their assault on Luna. The two Captains were making short work of her, or appeared to be, anyway. As Yuri flash stepped to Luna to perform a devastating blow, it was then she received the shock of her life. Still blinded, Luna was able to aim directly at her and released a Cero more or less point blank at Yuri. Since she didn't have time to avoid it all together, she was able to move her head slightly out of the way, allowing her mask to take the majority of the hit. Even so, it send her back to the ground, but Yuri was able to stop herself mid-air by collecting reishi under her feet to stand on. Recalling her mask back, Yuri could feel blood trickling down her face.

"Damn it, Luna. I should have expected that.."

Even though she was blind, the dumb Shinigami made it that much easier for her to find them. Now there was absolutely no place they could hide from her. She merely laughed as loud as she could before looking in the general direction of where Yuri was standing.

"Absolutely stupid...My sight nor my speed are my greatest attributes. Neither is my strength or intelligence. Why do you think they call me the savage huntress? It isn't because of my insanity. Its because no matter where you hide...I will always find you. My sight means nothing!"



Luna began to twirl her guns around on her trigger fingers while laughing. Once each of the handles had passed near her palms she gripped them both before performing Sonido and appearing in front of Shizune and planted her knee directly into her stomach. She drew back her right hand and planted her elbow directly into the center of the girls mask, cracking it thrusting her backwards.

"Do you want to know what my most feared attribute is?" Luna used Sonido again and appeared above Shizune before flipping herself over and planting both of her feet into her stomach which sent her hurling toward the ground.

"My sense of smell is my greatest attribute!"

Luna began to laugh maniacally before pointing jumping into the air. She turned herself upside down to where her legs were pointing toward the sky and the upper half of her body was facing the ground.

"Bala!!"

Luna began to spin around while pointing her guns down toward Shizune and she began to unleash Bala blasts while spinning. Once she was satisfied she uttered the word Cero...and quickly pointed both guns down at Shizune...once pulling the trigger a rather large Cero was shot from both guns at once.

"I was right you are dumb...is your father the only one of you pathetic Shinigami who isn't a complete dumb ass? "

With the two Cero hurling down toward her baby, she couldn't stand by and not do anything. After performing a set of handsigns, Azumi quickly formed a barrier around herself and Shi to stop most of the damage...when it was all over, her barrier had cracked and the shattered. Azumi quickly hurried over to Shi and knelt down beside her. That freaky mask thingy she was wearing had shattered and she was shaking.

"I'm sorry I'm late sweetie, but I can't let you get hurt...what kind of mother would I be if I did? No matter how old you get you'll always be my little girl!"

Azumi smiled and gave her trademark peace sign before giggling. When Luna called out to her. Azumi shifted her attention from her baby to the Arrancar standing high above them. She turned her attention to Yuri.

"Yuri, are you okay? You didn't get seriously injured did you? Even if you are hurt, come down here so I can heal you besides Mei-mei wants me to tell you something important!"

Yuri sighed in relief that Shizune was protected by Azumi. Though she wasn't injured that much, she wouldn't of been able to do anything in time in order to help her out in any way. This whole situation just left a bad taste in her mouth and she couldn't stand it. With a Flash step or two, she appeared close to both mother and daughter. As Azumi asked if she was hurt, Yuri could only rub the back of her head. She wanted to explain everything, but figured it would be better if it was left unsaid.

"I'm fine. Don't worry about me. Shi was the one who got hurt really bad. My injuries are just cuts and bruises."

What was so important, other than protecting Shi of course, that would cause Azumi to enter the battlefield? Then when she said Shukumei had something to tell her, she just had a feeling that something bad was about to be said.

"So, what's the message? What's going on? Is it Megumi?! She she and little Shi alright?!"

Maybe she was worrying about nothing, but this is probably how a mother would feel if she was worried about her child. It was strange indeed. She could only hope that they and everyone else were alright.

[Azumi Onigata]

After looking at Yuri, Azumi sighed, it was a full time job trying to look after everyone but at least she was up and moving around. After thinking about it she nearly forgot about the message she was supposed to bring to Yuri.

"You don't have to worry, Megumi went home to see her...um...she went back to the future! Yeah and The Little one is fine, she is with her Auntie Hina. Ryouji went back with Megumi so there is nothing to worry about on that front. Mei-mei wanted me to tell you that you have a captain's meeting to get to. Its in reference to the Original Six and their invasion. They sent word....we've got less than a day before it happens. There is supposed to be some sort of Captain's meeting, Shukumei was ordered to come back and you are as well. Big Shi and me are to go with you. Hina and the baby are already there."

Azumi was actually worried about all of this, what a time for him to go vanishing off to the future with Megumi without telling her why, they needed him here and he's probably having a damned Vacation!

"Luna, Shukumei wanted me to tell you something too...and it was if you wanted to see Shiva again, you'd go and help them fight or Shiva will never come back. I don't know what that means but she said you would. Now we have to go! You two can finish your fight later!"

From hearing Azumi's news, Yuri transformed her Zanpakutou back to normal, soon sheathing it. A Captain's meeting about the invasion? How on earth did they get hold of that knowledge? Not that matters. All that does is to get there to hear what's going on. She should feel lucky that they even have just a day to prepare. Yuri glanced up to Luna for a moment. There was no way she could forget what had happened. She was rather mad about Shizune getting hurt, but now wasn't the time to do something about it. As Azumi said, they could finish their little dispute later.

"I see.. Then we need to hurry. Luna.. I suppose we will cross paths again."

After unsheathing her Zanpakutou, Yuri made a stabbing motion with it in the air, opening up a Senkaimon. Azumi and Ronin had helped Shizune up, the three of them walking into the Senkaimon. Yuri stayed behind, glancing to Luna one last time. Even if they are enemies, she still doesn't want anything bad to happen to Luna.

"...Until next time, Luna.

Yuri then walks into the Senkaimon which closed behind her, making the trip into soul society.
