Returning Back

[Yuri Nakayama]

A portal was seen being opened within Soul society. Two individuals soon stepped out as it closed behind them. those two were Ryouji and Yuri returning from their 'trip' to the Dangai. What an experience that was. She was unable to keep up with the time in that realm for the lack of a better word. Considering the length of both their hair, they had to of been there for years. She has heard stories about how dangerous the place was and even Ryouji made mention that the time was much denser there. Regardless, she was glad to be home.

"It's been years since I've seen you with such long hair. I suppose the same goes for me." She just chuckled as they walked into the Squad Three Barracks and were soon greeted by Megumi who cling to her mother. With a smile, Yuri place a hand on Megumi's head.

"Welcome back Mama! You too, mister Ryouji! I missed you both! But really, where did you guys go? You were gone for two whole days! I was getting worried!"

So only two actual days passed on the outside? The Dangai was a strange place indeed. Still, it was worth it as she has never felt this strong before. Hopefully, Ryouji obtained what he was seeking.

"I didn't mean to worry you, Megumi. Ryouji and I were training. He needed the help, so I helped him. He and our Allies are facing a great threat.. One that I may join if it's alright with Ryouji. I remember quite well that we barely defeated them. Well, at least in this time line. what do you say, Ryouji? I don't care if it's risky for me to go back. You're going to need all the help you can get."

Two days...if he could have he would have stayed for at least three more, but the toll the training put on his body was more than enough. He was stronger now, stronger than he had ever hoped to become...maybe now with all of this training he could stand face to face with Jin and defeat him. He turned to Yuri upon hearing that she wanted to come back with him. He was...different now he wasn't so high strung or quick to get angry...there was a new calmness about him.

"Truthfully speaking, we could use the help but...if what you explained to me about the ripples of time are indeed true, then there is no telling what ripple you could create. Neither of us know what could happen here with my coming here. Or with you coming back with Megumi and myself. If it were not for Zetsumei, things could be much different."

However perhaps there was a way in which they could use her help. It just wouldn't be easy to figure out how they could use it. She couldn't enter the battle directly.

"Even with that being said...I can't really stop you from running interference now can I?

[Yuri Nakayama]

Yuri chuckles, rubbing the back of her head. He was indeed right. Once she made up her mind, it was going to be hard to change it. The more she thought about it though, the more she wasn't sure. If she did go, what if something were to happen here? Shizune would be in the past helping them and not enough people to help out here if need be.

"I would like to go, but I believe I'm needed here as well. As you mentioned, we don't know what's going to happen here. If something does, I would be needed. However, I'm sure Megumi would want to go in my place. Of course, I don't want her getting involved due to lack of experience. Regardless, she's a quick learner as I'm sure you've noticed. Watching the battle may help her learn or even change her mind."

She understood why Megumi wanted t become a shinigami, but as any mother wuld be, she's over protective of her and would hate to see anything happen to her.

"I will say this though. If i don't hear from Megumi for a certain amount of time that they have been defeated, then I will gladly come and be of service. On second thought, why don't you take Karei with you? I'm sure the others don't know her that well for it to make such a big impact. Well, I'm sure they know who she is.. You know what I mean."

[Ryouji Onigata]

When she mentioned Karei...Ryouji's lowered his head slightly, oh they knew her well enough now, especially Azumi who couldn't bare the thought of Karei calling him 'daddy'. It was weird enough knowing that it was the two of them that created her to begin with, though it was an accident. It was still just weird.

"Karei is known enough by the others. She did visit recently. its hard to adjust to the time change. We've been gone for only two days and yet it feels like so much more. Regardless, this is our fight now and we will finish it. As for Megumi..."

Ryouji turned to her and smiled. She was more like Yuri than he would care to admit in all honesty, She looked exactly like Yuri and would grow to be as strong as she is now one day.

"Megumi is doing well in her training. She's willing to learn and she never gives up. I kind of roughed her up a bit in her initial test. Yet she passed. Megumi will make a very intelligent Captain when her time comes. She won't have to wear Shizune's Haori if she continues to work hard."

Ryouji placed his hand on Megumi's head. She was one of the strongest children he's ever known. The fact that both she and little girl are both in full control of their masks, makes him feel a little embarrassed that both he and Yuri struggled so much.

"I also want to thank you Yuri. For taking good care of my daughter in this time. Because of our death's here, You are the only mother she's ever known. I couldn't have asked for her to have been trained and raised by anyone else. She's still still a little rough around the edges, but she's strong and proud and its in large part to you, so Thank You...Captain"

Ryouji turned his back to Yuri...all that time in the Dangai made him a little soft or so he thought. Though it was hard going back to the person who couldn't share his feelings. He rubbed the back of his head slowly before clearing his throat.

"Well...we needed to be getting back. Megumi I know you came to see your mother and I took her from you, but I want you and Shizune to come back and spend some real time with her. As much as we love you all...your mom loves you both just as much."

This is a combined post of Emi and Yuri.

Megumi blushed a little from Ryouji putting his hand on her and and talking about her the way he was. She was trying really hard to learn. It must be paying off too. Though she wanted to stay and catch up with her mother, she felt like she needed to go back with Ryouji and be with them and of Course Shi. Shi was like a big sister to her so she has to be there for her! It seemed Yuri was able to pick up on this, who just chuckled before speaking.

"I know she would like to, but it's obvious where she needs to be, Ryouji. There's so much the past can offer her.. Perhaps more than I can. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not meant to sound the way it does. I just believe if she says with you guys for a while, there's a lot to be learned that doesn't involve being a Shinigami. She needs to be in a good environment that can offer her anything and everything she needs. This time just can't do it."

Megumi went up to hre mother and gave her a big hug. She was doing a lot for her without worrying about how she would feel. Sure, she would visit, but She knows that Yuri would be sad with her gone for so long. In a way, she both understood and didn't. Maybe she will when she's older.

"Thank you for understanding, Mama. STill, I promise to come visit! I'm gonna go get things ready so we can go!"

Megumi ran off to get things ready. Yuri let out a heavy sigh as she watched Megumi leave. Being a mother can be really hard at times. Though when Ryouji thanked her for being one to Shi, she just tilted her head to the side. It was something that didn't need to be thanked.

"Well, you don't have to thank me. I did it because it wsa the right thing to do. At first, she was with Shukumei, but I could see how it was getting to her. By that I mean how she looks like Azumi and acts like you in some ways. I took her in though it was the same for me. Sure, we had our arguements, but still.. STill, we made it through.

Now that Megumi is going back with you, can you please watch over her? I meant what I said that the past can offer her more than this time. From the way Shi talks, Azumi adores her greatly. Anyway, we've talked long enough. I did meant what I said though. If I feel like I have to come, I will."

[Ryouji Onigata]

After seeing Megumi leave to prepare their way back to his normal era. When he couldn't see her anymore. Ryouji turned to Yuri again. To mess with her, he placed his hand on her head like he would back when he was still training her to give her confidence in herself.

"Its been three or four years now in normal time since we've last seen each other. Aside from you punching me, its been good to see you again Yuri. Although I am gone here...I want to tell you that I am very proud of the woman and captain you have become. Tell Jiro I send him my best and take care of that husband of yours."

Ryouji removed his hand from her head and turned away from her. Before leaving he turned his back to her and waved before flash stepping to catch up to Megumi for the two of them to prepare to head back into the present. Once he found her the he knelt down for her to climb onto his back.

"Hop on and hold on tight."

Once Megumi was situated on his back and found her tight grip. Ryouji stared into the gate way and performed yet another flash step. He was in a hurry to get back to see Azumi, Shukumei, Hina and Yuri...not to mention both big and his little one. He still wasn't quite use to the time difference so it felt like he hadn't seen them in forever...

Even though his training didn't perfectly for him, he was stronger now and was certain he could fight the way he wanted. Not to mention he and Shinkuremasu are finally in perfect sync. He didn't achieve the true result he wanted, but he's closer now than he was before the training. Now all that was left was for him and Megumi to travel the gate way until he was home.
