Exciting News

[Ayumi and Ayane]

After their effort and hard work, Ayane and Ayumi were able to finish their studies at the Academy and receive their very own Zanpakutou. They were very excited and couldn't wait to show everyone! Now that they were officially Shinigami, they had to pick out what squad to join. Though the thought of being in their mother's squad would be nice, it would kinda be weird, so the opted to join Shi's squad. They would have joined Shukumei's, but she still hasn't returned yet. Everyone was hoping that she would come home safe and sound. While Ayumi went off to tell their mother and eventually Shi, if she didn't know already, Ayane would have to tell Ryouji, Azumi, and the others all about it! She couldn't wait to see their reactions!

After a couple of flash steps, she appeared back home, all giggly and excited. When she got in, she yelled to get everyone and anyone's attention.

"Everyone! Come here please! I got something to show you!"

Slowly, everyone came into the room. Hina scurried over to her sister to give a a big hug, Ayane hugging back. now that everyone was here, she just had to tell the good news! Not like they didn't know already since she was wearing a Shinigami outfit, but still!

"Ayumi and I made it through the Academy! Not only that, we've already been assigned to Shi's squad. Right now, it's unranked seats, but that's fine! we'll work really hard to get a ranked seat! Well, that doesn't matter. We're still gonna do our best!"

Some were against them becoming Shinigami. It was to be expected. Being Shinigami is tough work and it means they could get hurt a lot. Still, with there being family both in and out of the squads, everyone should be okay.

"So, how is everyone?"

After receiving word that her twin nieces passed the final Academy exam, she clapped. She was happy for them although their meat headed Uncle never approved of them joining the academy in the first place, she was certain that he would be happy for them. If only their Aunt Shukumei were here, she'd be proud of them too but it's been so long now that she was particularly worried that she'd never return. In any case she rushed over to Ayane and gave her a ginormous Auntie sized hug.

"Congratulations sweetie. I am so proud of you both and you ended up in Shi's squad on top of that. Make sure not to give her to much trouble after all she lives here and can torment you both. Though I don't think she's necessarily like that. I am going to cook you and your sister a huge dinner as a congratulatory uh...thing! I know you're waiting to tell your Uncle but he and Ami are still out back beating each other up. I swear its not fair why are all my children violent but Yuri's are so well behaved."

She was actually a little jealous but since Ryouji came home, Ami has been obsessed with becoming as strong as her father. Yet she didn't know why. She was smart and was very pretty and well had other assets that she could use to her advantage but she focused on strength so much that it made her feel like her daughter was so obsessed with power that she'd go to great lengths to get it, including taking a beating from her father.

"Go on out back and watch while I start dinner. and if things get to serious you have my permission to step in and teach them both a lesson."

Azumi giggled before trotting off to the kitchen, but before she could enter fully she came back out and gave Ayane another hug and snatched little Hina up to cheer her on as she began to prepare dinner.

"Come on you little cutie you, you're going to help your Auntie Azumi prepare a huge feast for your sisters!"

Ayane giggled from the big hug from her auntie and gave a big hug in return. She was hoping to show off a little with her Uncle and Ami, but it wouldn't be fair to mess up their father-daughter bonding. After Azumi took Hina into the kitchen, that's when Ayane went outside to check on the training-battle-session thing was going on. As she watched the two of them fight, she was struggling to not jump in and have some fun herself. There wasn't much she could do yet. Still, watching them was going to help her learn a lot of things. Well, at least if she was going to fight them, anyway. In a way, she was kind of jealous that Ami could train with her father like that. She should look for hers and try to do the same thing when he's around some time.

She was aware that Ryouji had noticed she was there. He didn't have to look to notice. It was hard to explain, but she could just feel him keeping a look out from all sides. It was something she just knew. She could also tell that they needed a break. Well.. at least Ami anyway..maybe.

"Hey, you two! Why don't you stop beating each other up and come speak for a while?"

Even if they wanted to continue, that was fine by her. Just being around them was good enough for her. Besides, as soon as they get a good look at what she's wearing, they'll see why she called out. Though, Ayane couldn't help but to feel slightly nervous as to how Ryouji may react. sure, he may be proud of her progress, but he wanted her to be something other than a Shinigami. STill, she wasn't going to change her mind. Ayumi and her wanted to become Shinigami to protect her siblings and her family. surely, he would understand that.

"Aw, come on! You two are complete meanies!"

Upon hearing Ayane call out to her and her father. Ami stopped for a moment before waving. However she wanted to continue training for the moment thus Ayane would have to wait for a little while longer.

"Sorry Ayane, can father and I finish first? I'll stop holding back so it can end quickly!"

She certainly wasn't without her confidence, that was for certain, but when training with her father, she felt a lot different than she did before especially when he came home all those years ago. She wasn't as angry anymore and that gave her the strength to improve using other methods other than rage to become stronger. As she returned her attention to her father he was standing there with his arms folded across his chest while looking at her.

"You'll end it quickly will you? Then by all means, end it so that we can see what it is that Ayane wishes to tell us...Ami"

Upon hearing her father respond Ami giggled and rubbed the back of her head. She didn't mean it that way, she was just happy to be training and learning what she could from her father. Although not once in her entire life has she ever seen his Bankai and she was determined to see it for herself.

"Well I'll only end it quickly dad, if you show me your Bankai finally. I've never seen it. Shi tells me about it all the time but I want to see it for myself!"

Ryouji shook his head upon hearing his daughter's request. What is it with her and wanting to see his Bankai. He didn't consider it to be anything special...but he was more interested in hiding the fact that she too had obtained Bankai.

"I'll make a deal with you Ami, I'll show you my Bankai, if and only if you demonstrate to me the capabilities of your Bankai."

When she caught wind of exactly what her father said she took a step back and gasped. He knew. Then she remembered...when he returned home, and she was under the influence of her anger...she muttered something resembling Bankai. She was rather shocked that he remembered all of that. But she could see the seriousness of his eyes. He really wanted to see it. It wasn't often that she was able to use it but she practiced with it when she could when she figured no one was around. In the end she shrugged, if this was the only way she could see it then she'd have no choice but to agree.

"Alright dad, You've got a deal!"

Ami brought her Zanpakutou up and flipped it over, holding it in an inverse style. She slammed the bottom of the hilt in to the palm of her left hand while building up a tremendous amount of spiritual pressure.

"Bankai!"

A large wall of fire rose from the ground and began to swirl around her forming a sort of flaming vortex. Eventually a large blade cut through the flames and there Ami stood wearing much different clothing than previously. Her Zanpakutou looked much different, the blade itself was much larger and longer and it had crescent blades protruding from it.

"Oni Kasai...Kajiame!!"

Ryouji noticed how enormous the blade was on her released Zanpakutou. It spoke volumes about how much spiritual pressure she had hidden away inside of her. He was actually impressed, but having a bankai and using it were two different things.

"I said capabilities Ami, I've known you had Bankai for years now."

She smirked upon hearing her father mention its capabilities. She raised the large blade up and began to move her arm in a circular motion creating a large wall of swirling fire before pointing the blade at him. She then turned her wrist slightly causing the blade to turn as well. The blade then vanished from her hand. A flaming gate appeared behind her as a giant beast stepped through the portal and stood behind her. Ryouji looked up seeing the monster tower over him. It was like standing before Komamura's Tengen. There was nothing he could even begin to say to Ami...she showed control over it and she was calm. Kajiame raised its large fist and slammed it into the ground right in an attempt to crush Ryouji. From the dust cloud he was sent flying and eventually crashed into the ground before skidding to a stop. He sat up slowly before climbing to his feet.

"That...thing is strong and the fact that Ami is in complete control makes it a lot more difficult than I would care to admit. The children will surpass us all at."

Ami performed a flash step and appeared in front of where her father was standing. Before pointing at him. When he narrowed his eyes he glanced down at the ground noticing the shadow that swallowed his shadow completely. As he turned around he was hit with the huge fist. and was sent flying a second time but this time he quickly planted his hands and feet on the ground and slowed himself down. At least out here the house and the little ones weren't in danger.

"Do it Kajiame, show my Father our strength!!"

Kajiame drew back its arm before roaring and went to finish this battle with another punch but as the fist neared Ryouji he smirked As the fist connected with his body for a third time rather than be sent flying he wasn't seen at all. The large dust cloud that Kajiame forced up from the force of the punch made it hard to see what exactly was going on. As the dust began to clear Ami glanced down at her father as Kajiame's fist had completely stopped. When she got a good look at his face, she realized that he had hollowfied to stop the fist. When he glanced up at her and grunted. She nearly fell on her butt. Looking to those eyes were something scary. Is that what it was like when she hollowfied as well. She had begun to doubt herself at that point and that's when Ryouji knew that this battle was his to win. With a loud yell he pushed Kajiame's fist back before stepping backwards.

"Ami its always a good idea to remember what your opponent is capable of before getting confident. You told Ayane that you were going to end this battle quickly."

Ami while thrown off of her game, she remain focused. Kajiame raised its hand above its head as if it was going to smash Ryouji where he stood but as the fist reached its peak, Ryouji was standing in the air over the fist.

"Not this time!!!"

Ryouji gripped the wrist of Kajiami as best as he could considering the difference in there sizes. and began to yell again using the strength of his hollowfied state to the best of his ability. He began to pull on Kajiame's arm. It wasn't at all, but he continued to pull until he managed to pull Kajiame over his own shoulder and flip it over onto its back. He dropped down to one knee on the reishi plate he had created to stand on and began to breath heavily. He was tired already, not to mention he had taken plenty of damage in this fight already, she should have hollowfied from the start. He forced himself to a standing position as quickly as he could and jumped from the reishi plate into the air as high as he could while reaching for his Zanpakutou.

Once wrapped his hand around the hilt, he pulled it from the sheath and raised it above his head, with his other hand he gripped the hilt using a two handed stance. His blade began to emit a black reiatsu of his own as he drew it back. He swung it forward with all of his might releasing a giant wave of energy from the blade and forced it down into Kajiame forcing it to disappear and reappear as Ami's released Zanpakutou. As she looked up into the sky at her father she narrowed her eyes. She should have known better than to get to confident...but she could finally see the kind of things her father were capable of and why her mother honestly believed why he would always come home like she did. She wasn't angry, she was merely happy to have seen it for herself. None of their previous training sessions were like this at all. He was always holding back and for that she was glad. She just stood there looking at him, not knowing at at all what to say.

Ayane was amazed at the session that the two were having. They were truly giving it their all. She had heard stories about how strong Ryouji was, but they pale in comparison to actually seeing it with her own eyes. Her jaw just dropped when she watched him more or less toss Ami's Bankai to the ground. Ami looked happy despite her Bankai being taken down. Perhaps she was happy to see her father's strength at it's fullest. Since they had stopped fighting, Ayane was gonna take advantage of the moment and walked up to the two.

"You guys were great! I've never seen such strength before! Mama's stories about you were right! WEll, I think it's better that I got to see it for myself. Also.. Ami! Your Bankai was huge! just watching you two has me pumped up and ready to fight! Well.. hehe.. When I get my Shikai, that is."

As soon as she said that, she could feel the two of them staring at her. It was honestly kind of creepy which was noticable by her nervous laughter and rapidly shaking her hands in a "Don't hurt me!" kind of fashion.

"Seriously, cut that out! Do you know how creepy that is with you two kinda staring blankly at me? Though, now you know! Ayumi and I finished our courses at the Academy and now are full-fledged Shinigami! Not only that, but we got into Shi's squad! Ayumi is probably talking to Mama right now about it. I would tell Papa, but I haven't seen him around lately. His Reiatsu is in Soul Soul Society so maybe he'll come for a visit!

If that does happen, she couldn't wait to kind of show off. Ayumi was the one who excels in kido while she excels in combat. The two of them together can be quite the force to be dealt with. Though, that was just a front, but no one has to find out about that yet. Just thinking of how the battle would go had Ayane giggling.

"Oh yeah! Since Ami had her fun, may I try a quick sparring session with either you or Uncle Ryouji? I may not have my Shikai yet, but I'm still gonna do my best. We should have some time left before Auntie Azumi calls us to eat. She's making this huge dinner as a celebration for Ayumi and I. What'cha say? A quick match okay with you two?"

What a surprise indeed to see that her daughter came over for a visit to show off that she had finally become a Shinigami along with her sister. She was very proud of the two.Since her work was done and there was nothing else for her to do, she decided to return home with Ayumi. After all, this was a time of celebration though she imagined Ryouji wouldn't be too happy about it. It was sort of..cute, if you could call it that, that he was so protective over not only his children, but hers as well.

After getting home, she greeted everyone with a hello and some hugs. After hearing her mother, little Hina ran out of the kitchen to give her mommy a big hug. Yuri picked her up, giving a large hug.
Placing her back down so she could play, she went into the kitchen to see what was going on. There, she saw Azumi cooking as fast as she could. Could it be related to the news regarding the twins? Even if it was or wasn't, the least she could do was help out.

Then, she noticed little Shiori sitting and decided to talk to her. It wasn't before long Hina came back into the kitchen and sat next to the two of them with some help from her mother.

"So, how are you today, Shiori? Your mother seems really busy so.. if there's anything you need, just ask me, okay?"

Even with her mommy cooking, Shiori was in her own little world drawing doodles and squiggly lines on paper. She noticed when her Auntie Yuri came home and gave Hina a huggle. When she was spoken to by Auntie Yuri she looked up and gave a big smile before returning back to her doodling while rocking her head back and forth. Apparently she was having a good time, and then her Auntie asked her if she needed anything and to ask. Ori's little head popped up and the first thing she wanted was juice!

"I know what I want Auntie Yuri! Shiori wants juice!"

When Yuri heard the little girls request she glanced at her and smiled but as a mother herself she thought it wasn't a good idea at least not right now.

"Sorry sweetie its still kind of early for sugar. How about we get you some water or some milk first?"

When Shiori was told no. She stopped bobbing her head and humming and placed her little crayon down on the paper she was drawing on. She turned her attention to her Auntie Yuri and continued to smile. As the seconds went on...her happy smile seemed to go away slowly and she was left with a serious face. She closed her eyes and tilted her head to the side slowly. She began to giggle again and figured she would make the point of her wanting juice again. She really loved her Auntie Yuri...but she hated being told she couldn't have what she wanted. So rather than throw a hissy-fit like her older sisters do, she would reiterate it a second time...

"Auntie Yuri...Shiori wants juice...'kay?"

When Yuri shook her head a second time. The big smile she put on...vanished again. Now there would be no more smiling and being cute. Shiori wanted juice and she wanted it now. When she opened her eyes...they were completely red and she stared into her Auntie Yuri's eyes while keeping her head tilted to the side.

"Shiori said...that Shiori wanted juice!"

When her mother noticed how she was acting she turned around from the food she was preparing and looked at her little one.

"Shiori...you aren't allowed to talk to your Auntie Yuri like that. Now apologize right this instant"

Shiori heard her mother talking and turned her head slowly and stared at her mother. When her Azumi noticed she was using the family trademark death-stare...she became a little nervous. Not once before today had she known that her little baby could use such an advance technique. She's only three! Why is it that everything that comes out of her body in the form of children are all weird and freaky. Shizune was super fast, Shiami was super strong...and now little Shiori was...well she didn't know what Shiori was...but she was acting really mean!

Azumi turned away from Shiori and returned to paying attention to the food. Shiori once again locked eyes with her Auntie Yuri.

"Juice!"

As Yuri's eyes locked with the little one, all she could do was rub the back of her head and laugh nervously like she always does when being stared at with the death stare. Why, oh why, did Azumi's children have to inherit the stare as well? It makes her feel completely awkward and well, nervous! There was no way she could say no to a stare like that!

"Er..I guess one juice box shouldn't spoil anything.."

Yuri got up and over to to get little Shiori her drink. Why does she always have to be the one stared at like that? With a heavy sigh, Yuri got some juice for little 'Ori, going back to the table and handing the little one her juice. When she heard Azumi telling Shiori to apologize, she wasn't sure what to say or do. maybe she better take up for the little one lest she be stared at again!

"It's alright, Azumi. I did promise her one day she could have juice.. guess she decided today was the day."

To think.. 'Ori was just three years old and that stare is just as menacing as Azumi's and Hina's. What if she were to stare at her again like that when she was older? It was then her whole face turned a bit pale from just imagining it. She was snapped out of her thought when she felt Hina pulling on her hand a little.

"Er.. Mama's alright, Hina. Just uh..heh.. Don't worry about it. At least everyone's happy.. right?"

After receiving her juice box Shiori was happy, she loved juice so much it was way better than yucky water and Milk as she reached for the juice box but she couldn't drink it without the straw and stuff so she pushed it over to her Auntie Yuri to fix for her. Upon having it handed back to her she jumped up and scurried across the table and gave her Auntie Yuri a huggle.

"Thankies Auntie Yuri!"

After crawling back across the table she tried to get back into her seat but she was to little but determined to do so on her own she eventually fell off of the table and into her chair, hitting it with a loud thud. When her mother turned around to check on her. Eventually she situated herself into the chair and giggled.

"Shiori ish fine!!"

She gave her mother's classic peace sign before reaching for her juice box. As she went to grab it, it was picked up and stolen by her big sister Ami. When she stared at the table where it was...she stopped reaching for it and glared at her big sister. That wasn't Ami's juice box, that was Shiori's juice box and she wanted it back.

"Hey...that's Shiori's juice box...gimme it back!"

As Ami was getting ready to take a sip...which usually for her meant one giant gulp to empty it...she glanced down at little Ori whom was pointing at her and shook her head.

"Mommy doesn't like you having juice, its still early! How did you get this anyway...did you get this yourself?"

When Shiori pointed to her Auntie Yuri. Ami sighed, it was apparent that her Auntie Yuri was tricked into getting this juice box for little Ori. She was a clever little mongrel, but she would not be tricked by her little sister.

"Gimme back my Juice box boobzilla!!"

Ami nearly dropped the juice box in response to being called boobzilla. She turned to her mother and pointed at Ori and wanted her to be punished for being called out of her name.

"Mom do something, this little monster called me boobzilla...she shouldn't know words like that. Apologize to me or you'll never see your juice box again."

When Shiori shook her head and reached for her juice box it was clear that the two were about to have a 'moment' Azumi put her knife down and turned and glanced at her two youngest and sighed.

"You two know I don't like it when you fight, Ami give your sister back her juice box and stop calling her a monster and Shiori, you apologize for calling your sister boobzilla and stop being so bossy. If you're father heard you talk like that, he wouldn't like it and you know that."

Apparently the two siblings didn't care what their mother said, they were too wrapped up in being mean to each other. Shiori again reached for the Juice box and Ami quickly moved her hand away. Ori's eyes turned red as she used the family trademark a second time as she pointed to Ami.

"Give...Shiori...her juice box or else!"

When she noticed her eyes Ami placed the juice box on the table before shaking her head, realizing exactly what it was she was doing. Since when could she do that...use the death-stare! She was just a baby! Ami picked up the Juice box and giggled...she almost fell for it but she didn't. Then she heard the or else part and laughed even louder. At this point she was taunting the baby knowing she wasn't going to do anything but call for their father...which was her only weapon against her its not like she was stronger than her or anything.

"Or else wha..."

Before she could even finish the sentence, Little Shiori had jumped from her chair and clung to Ami's face causing the two of them to stumble out of the kitchen and into the living room where Ami hit the ground as she tried prying Ori off of her face. As the two sister's fought Azumi turned around and sighed before picking up the juice box and handing it to little Hina.

As the two sister's continued their little sibling squabble the door to the back yard slid open and their father stepped in. When Shiori noticed she stopped moving and stared at her father. Ami lifted Shiori up and tilted her head in a way to where she could see what he was doing. He didn't say anything, he just stared at them both seriously. Ami sat up and giggled nervously. Shiori and Ami turned and looked at each other before slowly turning and glancing back at their father. It went without saying that both of them were scared that they were going to be in trouble. Instead the two sisters hugged each other hoping that he would believe that they were just playing around.

"Knock it off..."

The two nodded it furiously and ran down the hall to avoid seeing their father serious again. He eventually stepped into the kitchen and looked at little Hina and nodded.

"Good morning Hinata and to you as well Yuri."

[Hinata Nakayama]

After seeing her uncle come in, she ran over to him and more or or less clung onto his leg, huggling it. She was glad to see him. Maybe now he could get Ami and Ori to be nice. She really didn't like it when they fought. They were always scary when they did although Shiori was usually scary all the time.

"Uhm..Uncle 'Ouji?"

After getting his attention, he picked up Hina and held her. Hopefully. 'Ori wouldn't get too mad at her. She just wanted to talk to him and get him to talk! Well, if he wanted to that is. Often, she's quiet as well but not because she doesn't have anything to say.. just that she's too shy to say anything to anyone else other than her uncle, mother, and siblings.

"Uhm.. Since it's like..close to nap time after all the food, can you..tell me a storY? Pwease? Mama says you have lots and lots..I tried to ask her to but.. she's helping 'Ori.."

[Ryouji Onigata]

[This will be a combined post of sorts between Ryouji and Ami

After being asked by little Hina if he could tell her a story before nap time, he thought about it. The only stories he has are stories of fighting and killing things and that would scar her little mind. Not to mention he could frighten her so in the end he decided against it all together. It wouldn't be nice to give the little shy one a nightmare.

"Honestly I don't have any good stories to tell, they are all bad and deal with lots of fighting and that isn't good for you. Instead how about I tuck you in and stay with you until you fall asleep. We can talk about whatever your little head comes up with? Would that be acceptable Hina?"

Hopefully it would be besides he enjoyed the time that he and Hina could spend together, as he did with Emi when she was her age. Speaking of Emi he should go and check on her one of these days to make sure she's doing okay. He often worried about her. Then there was the Future Emi and Shi, he wondered what those two were getting into, then there was the eldest Megumi who was always hiding until she wanted to speak to him or someone else. Did Yuri even notice she was here?

There were so many children...to think he has three daughters and four Nieces who are much like his children. Its a lot to take in, but there was no place he'd rather be. It was a good thing that Azumi made him stay.

As he moved her out of the kitchen he stopped moving and narrowed his eyes. It was to say in the least...massive spiritual pressure. What in the hell was it. He turned around and looked at Azumi as she stared at him, it felt like an anvil was being dropped on his shoulders. Ami came running out of her room and stared at him.

"Dad...look outside the window...the sky is all distorted and stuff!"

Ryouji opened the front door and stepped out side. The Sky was warping and twisting and turning over most of the district where their home was located. and even over the Sereitei itself. Whatever it was that was coming through, was gigantic.

The sky tore open moments later and a giant arm plowed through to the ground causing it to shake. He glanced down at Hina before stepping back inside. Whatever it was, it had to be stopped before millions of innocent people lost their lives.

"Hina I need you to stay with your Auntie Azumi and Shiori okay?"

Ami heard what her father said and came barreling through the door. He couldn't be entertaining the fact of going to fight that thing on his own. There was just no way. At least if she went, Kajiame could attempt to fight on even ground with it.

"I'm going with you, you can't fight that thing alone dad!"

Ryouji shook his head, there was no point in everyone attempting to fight this thing, if he could lure whatever the hell it was away from everything but there wasn't any place he could lure it away from.

"I don't plan on fighting it alone. I'm certain that the Gotei thirteen are sending reinforcements as we speak. I just need to give it something to focus on until they arrive. Regardless of which I need you here to protect your mother and your sister and Hina."

When Ami heard what her father said she put her foot down. She wasn't going to allow him to go by himself...if something happened to him now that he was finally home again then she couldn't live with herself.

"I am going. You've seen my Bankai...I can use it to help you out. I won't take no for an answer!!"

With that being said she ran past her father and out of the front door to head to where the giant arm touched the ground. Ryouji sighed and turned to Azumi.

"I'll make certain that she isn't harmed. I don't know what that thing is...but I can't stand by and not do anything."

Gripping his Zanpakutou's sheath tightly he turned away from his wife and little niece and headed out the front door and began to make his way to where the giant fist arm was located.

[Yuri Nakayama]

Yuri was in her headquarters, getting some paperwork done when she felt a tremor along with the abnormal amount of Reiatsu. It wasn't long before Jiro and other Shinigami belonging to her squad came into the room, looking worried. Perhaps they could tell her what's going on.


"Captain, you have to hurry! there's this huge creature entering Soul Society! I'm sure the other members of the Gotei Thirteen are on their way. What would you like us to do?"

Yuri was trying to pinpoint exactly where she sensed the Reiatsu coming from. It wasn't far from Azumi's place or that's what it felt like, anyway. There could be a chance the battle could be dragged into the Rukongai and innocent bystanders could be hurt. Some measures must be taken to prevent that from happening.

"I would like you and some of the others to go to Azumi's home and help out there. My youngest daughter and Azumi's daughter is there as well. Ayumi and Ayane are there as well, but I don't want them to get involved. Anyway, just help them out in anyway you can. The others here will come along with me ."

With a nod, Jiro and a few others flash stepped out of the headquarters. It wasn't before too long Yuri and some others from her squad started to head over to where the large arm had more or less landed at. What in the hell was it? not that it mattered anyway. It had to be stopped one way or another. Before she could give an order, an eager member of her squad decided to attack first.

"Wait, we don't know what it can do!"

It was already too late. Before she could even respond, the poor man gets knocked away with such force that may have easily killed him. Yuri could already tell where this was going. She raised her hand over her face, bringing it down to summon her mask. Mask or not, a blow like that could be devastating so she would have to be careful.

Yuri tried to attack from an angle, but quickly had to dodge out of the hand's way. No matter which direction she tried to attack, it managed to counter. Many others tried to attack along with her and ended up being swatted away. Yuri Flash stepped onto the top of a wall and then started to get up to higher ground to eventually standing on a reishi platform in the air. If normal attacks weren't going to work, maybe a Cero will. The area around her mouth began to crack open and a small ball of energy started to form. As the Cero was done charging, it was then launched at the creature's arm. It was a direct hit, causing a lot of smoke. For a moment, she couldn't sense anything from it. Surely, it couldn't have been defeated that easily.

Suddenly, before Yuri even had time to react, she was caught by the ginormous hand. It didn't matter how much she struggled. The grip was just too strong. As it started to squeeze with all its might, her cries of pain filled the air. Though the mask was dulling the pain somewhat, it still..well.. hurt. What could she do to get herself out of this situation? Another Cero wouldn't be a good idea and the use of kido would get her hurt more than what she already was. Then, the arm started to rise slowly up into the air. That could mean only one thing: She was going to be tossed down. As she was about to be tossed, several black holes started to form around the arm, nine in total when the last appeared somewhere in the middle of its arm.

"Bakudo 79: Kuyō Shibari!"

It was enough to not only hold the creature at bay for a while, but also gave Yuri the time to break free, flash stepping away from the creature. Did she hear who she thought she did? No, it couldn't be. Then, her hunch was confirmed when she saw her daughter (The Present Emi) appear before her very eyes.

"I'm glad I got here in time! It looked like that thing was ready to flatten you."

Their attention soon turned back to the creature who was struggling to free itself from the Kido. It wasn't before logn a huge surge of Reiatsu was released, the kido easily being broke down. in a rage, it swung to attack Emi and Yuri. Yuri managed to get in front of Emi, taking most of the blow as the two of them crashed into the ground. The blow had caused Yuri's mask to break, ending her hollowification. Emi quickly got up and over to her mother, who was unconscious, and started to shake her.

"Mama, wake up! C'mon! Seriously, you picked the wrong time to take a nap!"

As Emi looked up, she noticed that she and her mother were more or less trapped. By the time she could even think of something to get away, it would be too late. So, she did the only thing she could think of and that was to call for her uncle. She knew for sure he would come! He often would always no matter what it was!

"Uncle 'Ouji! I need you!"

[Ryouji Onigata]

As he neared the giant arm, the spiritual pressure it was putting out had gotten stronger and stronger. What exactly was this...thing? Where did it come from and why now of all times. It couldn't be a Gillian. They didn't grow to be that size. It couldn't be a hollow of any sort, there was never any record of a hollow being this big. He didn't have time to think about it at this moment in time, the only thing he wanted to do was to keep the innocent safe.

As he reached a safe distance, he watched as the creature tossed his pupil to the ground and there was someone with her. The spiritual pressure she was giving off was without a doubt Megumi. What was she doing here and why now of all times. Ryouji glanced up as the arm raised itself and began to fly at them with full force, it was going to crush the both of them. As he unsheathed his Zanpakutou, his daughter Ami zoomed passed him with her Zanpakutou in hand

"BANKAI!!!!"

As she was swallowed up by a huge wall of flames she landed in front of Emi and Yuri. Before the hand could touch them, the giant golem that was Kajiami appeared and stopped the fist from touching them. Even it was struggling however. Ryouji performed a flash step and appeared behind Ami and quickly grabbed Emi and Yuri and flash stepped away from the fight to get them to a safer place.

"Are you all right Megumi?"

It was at that point he heard a loud thud, he turned and glanced back at Ami and the creature. Kajiame was on its knees and Ami was down right along with it. He had an idea but it was risky, for he wasn't sure exactly how big the creature was.

"Ami don't try to fight with it. Use Kajiame to pull it. Use its own weight against it and force out here instead of it remaining wherever it is. Pull it through where its arm exited!"

She nodded and forced herself back up to her feet, and directed Kajiame to pull instead of push to keep itself and its master from being crushed. Once Kajiame started pulling on the arm it knocked Kajiame away with a over-sized back fist. which caused it to revert back into its Zanpakutou state. Ami flash stepped away and appeared near her father and Emi, she was weak and breathing heavily. Now what were they to do, it turns out that Kajiame wasn't much of a challenge for this monster.

After climbing to her feet she turned and faced the direction in which her father was staring. He was quiet but so focused. Was he actually considering a way to bring this damned thing down. He only had one choice and that was to at least remove the arm from wherever the body was.

[Little Emi]

As she saw the hand coming at them at full force, Emi was preparing to set up a barrier, but then was distracted by hearing Ami's voice. It was so good to hear her voice again. While Ami was in front of them, she saw Ryouji appear from a flash step. He then grabbed her and her mother, getting them to higher and safer ground. After being put down, she gave her uncle a big hug, even if now wasn't a time for it. As she heard him ask her if she was okay, she nodded.

"I'm alright! I'm mostly worried about Mama. I better start healing her right away!"

Emi knelt down beside her mother, holding her hands over her body. A green glow soon came from her hands, starting the healing process. While not watching the battle between Ami's Bankai and the creature, she could sense the Reiatsu that was being put off from it. As the battle was quickly over, Ami appeared where they were at after a few flash steps. Whatever that creature was, it definitely was strong. there had to be a way to stop it. There had to be a way to pull it out so they could see fully what they were dealing with.

"The place where I'm staying at was informed to send any Shinigami there to Soul Society to help. I had to come along too! I knew you guys would be here! I'm just sorry we had to meet again under such poor circumstances, but still!"

So far, it didn't seem like binding Kido or physical attacks were doing any kind of damage at all. Luckily, Yuri's injuries weren't too severe and the healing process was quickly done. All that was left was for her to wake up. Standing back up, Emi looked back toward the creature. What could they do? They couldn't just stand here and do nothing.

"I think I have an idea. I don't know if it'll work, but it's at least something. Whatever it is seems to be using the portal it's in as a hiding spot so to speak. Whaat if we gathered some Shinigami and have them use Hōrin? When one has cast it, others can use it to connect to the first. When they have all been connected, they can try to pull it out."

It sounded like a silly idea, but it's all they have to go on for right now. Thing is, how could they aim that high? If they were to try head on, it would surely manage to knock away the first Hōrin.It needed to be distracted while the Shinigami in question could prepare.

"Uncle 'Ouji, can you and Ami keep it distracted? hopefully that may give us time to try this plan if you can call it that. I want to help out too! I may not be physically strong like you and everyone else, but I can hold my own with kido! What do you say?"

[Ryouji Onigata]

After hearing Emi's idea...he shook his head. While a good idea in theory...one would have to consider the flip-side to that process...if they couldn't pull the monster out, but the monster could quickly pull them into the portal and they would lose untold numbers.

"That monster is strong. Even with Horin being used in that capacity, the monster could easily drag them all in to the portal and then we've lost Shinigami for no reason. Ami's bankai would have been perfect but it over powered her. The only choice we have left is to piss that monster off enough to where it has no choice but to come over to our side. Fighting it on even ground is a lot better than what we are doing at this moment in time."

Ryouji lowered his head before stepping forward, he really didn't want to have to take it this far to get that thing out of the portal it was hiding in but he had no choice. He was going to have to fully hollowfy and fight with that arm. Ami stepped forward.

"So...what are we going to do dad?"

Ryouji glanced down at his Zanpakutou before raising his head slightly. He extended his arm to the side of his body before bringing it and holding his hand in front of his face.

"I'm going to tear his arm off and..."

Before he could finish he felt another strong surge of spiritual pressure. From behind the portal he heard a soft, feminine voice shouting. Before he could even register what the hell was going on, the portal surrounding the arm widened and the monster came barreling out. It rolled and then landed on its back. In a fit of rage the monster began flailing its arms around and one was heading in their general direction. Ryouji lowered his hand and turned around and pushed Ami and Emi with all of his might to knock them away from the arms path. Ryouji took all of the blow from the monster's arm and was sent flying and crashing into the Sereitei's wall.

Upon seeing her father be swatted away after he pushed herself and Emi to safety she dropped down on to her knees. He took the hit so she and Emi wouldn't have to get hurt.

"Dad..."

She began to clinch her fist and shaking from being so angry that her father got hurt. As she stood up, her sister Shizune appeared behind her and grabbed her to keep her from doing something stupid.

"Ami this isn't the time to lose your head. Dad is fine, just give him a minute and he'll be back to help us with this damned...whatever it is!"

Ami wasn't hearing any of it however, she was angry and she wanted to tear that thing to pieces...her spiritual pressure changed as she got more and more angry. Half of her hollow mask had begun to form to her face and got free of Shi's grip and flew toward the monster. As she went to attack it with her Zanpakutou, her wrist was gripped tightly by another person. Without word or warning, Ami's stomach was met with a vicious foot from the unknown individual which sent her hurling down toward the ground. Once she hit the ground, Shizune ran over to her to check on her little sister. The unknown individual landed near the both of them and stared down at the two of them.

"What the hell was that for lady, she didn't do anything, she's mad about our father being hurt!"

After hearing the excuse the person shook their head and turned and looked toward the monster.

"Anger is not a weapon of vengeance Shizune. Ami needs to learn this if she is expected to grow as a person and as a Shinigami. Your father that the same problem once..."

[Little Emi]

After being pushed out of the way along with Ami, she could only watch in horror as her uncle was swatted away like nothing by this creature. While she knew that she had to get to him, she couldn't with Ami getting as angry as she was. She had to help Ami calm down before it was too late. As she went to say something, Emi noticed part of the Hollow mask on her face. The Hollow already had a grip on her.

"Ami, wait!"

Ami then went off like she didn't hear what she had said. Then, a strange woman had appeared and stopped Ami by force. First a wild monster was on the loose and now this..lady was here harming Ami. Well, it didn't look like the woman was trying to hurt Ami. The way the stranger hit Ami.. it wasn't out of malice. It was as if she was trying to stop Ami from doing anything that would have gotten her hurt.

The way she spoke.. it sounded odd, and yet, familiar. Emi was staring at the lady, trying to read her reiatsu. She was having a difficult time sensing it if at all. It seemed similar to Ryouji though to her, she could always find him no matter if he was hiding his reiatsu or was releasing it all at once. Then it came to mind that when her mother was fighting Shiva, both Shukumei and Ryouji had disappeared. Could this woman be her? no, it couldn't be. She didn't look like what Shukumei did during the time she was a small child. However, the fact that she knew about Ami and Shizune was a concern. She knew who their father was. Then again, who doesn't know.

"Ami, Shizune, I believe we can trust her. You only saw her attack Ami.. Not why she did. She did it to stop not only Ami's Hollowification, but to literally knock some sense into her. As much as I hate that Uncle 'Ouji got hurt, we have to keep that thing from going any further than it already has. I can try to form a barrier around us and the creature. At least that way, it can't go too far."

Of course, she knew that if it tried to attack the barrier to get through, it may very well do just that. Still, it had to be done. She went over to Ami and Shizune, checking to see if the two were alright. Then, she glanced back over to the woman again and back to the creature. It seemed strange that since the woman appeared, the creature was out of the portal and fully in Soul Society. She could only assume that it was her who did it.

"We're going to need all the help we can get. Can you help us, miss? If my assumption is correct, it was you who drove that creature out. Regardless if it's true or not, your help would be greatly appreciated."

As she was about to go to form the barrier, she was stopped by Ami. She was right to be worried. She wasn't sure if she could maintain the barrier if the creature decided to break out of it. Still, she had to do something to help. She couldn't stand the fact hat many people were getting hurt. It had to stop.

"I have to, Ami. Just like you, Shi, and our mysterious friend have to fight. We all have our part to play and this is my part. I have to at least try. I will not allow that..that thing to go any further!"

Hesitant to do so, Ami let Emi go up to higher ground. In order to do this just right, she was going to have to use her Hollow mask. Bringing her hand over her face, she quickly brought it down to form her mask. With some time, she started to use handsigns like Azumi and Hina would do, forming a decent sized barrier just around the area they were in (parts of the North district) and just stopping from the walls of Seireitei*. She would have to maintain a steady flow of Reiatsu if she was going to maintain the barrier. Now, the only ones inside was the creature and anyone else who was fighting this being.

"I'm done here! Please, be careful!"

That woman..is very familiar. It's like..I know her. For her to know that Uncle 'Ouji is Shi and Ami's father and to know them seemingly well then it could only be... What if I'm wrong? What if it's an enemy? No.. That can't be right.. I was told to always trust my instincts.. I can only hope it's correct.. if anything happened to Ami, Shi, and everyone else.. I would never forgive myself.

*Those who are still in the barrier are: Ami, Shizune, Ryouji, Yuri, and the Unknown Woman. Emi is just outside of the barrier to maintain it.

[Hina Kusanagi]

[This will be a combined post between Hina and Azumi]

Appearing out of a flash step next to Emi she knelt down and saw the rather large barrier she erected to keep the monster inside. She was actually proud of her niece, to maintain a barrier that huge took quite a lot of effort but she was focused and determined and that always helped.

"Not bad Megumi, not bad at all. You can't do it all on your own, so I'm here to help. Between the two of us we should be able to keep that thing from moving. Keep your reiatsu as steady as you can, I'm going to take some of the pressure off but I need you to keep that barrier as perfectly symmetrical as possible, but first...are you sure about this Azumi?"

Hina turned to Azumi as she was standing there watching the creature in the barrier. She looked at her sister and nodded slowly. There was no point in allowing Ryouji, Yuri and her daughters to try to tackle this alone.

"I'm sure, once I'm inside, I can use Hitotoki. I'm not sure how much time I can time and space that I can change and shift, but in theory I should be able to keep it busy. I won't every forgive myself if something happened to my daughters...or Ryouji. Or anyone for that matter. I've kept my abilities hidden for long enough. They are out there giving it their all and its time I did the same."

Hina nodded, she was honestly worried more or less about what Ryouji was going to think about what she was actually going to do. She was going to use a well kept secret to try to keep this thing from doing any serious damage. Plus she can't maintain it for to long because it strains her body and her mind. If she uses it for to long she could lose consciousness or even die.

"All right, just be careful...Azumina"

Azumi giggled upon hearing her first name pronounced fully for the first time in nearly 1200 years. She glanced back and gave her classic piece sign and smile before turning her attention to the barrier and the monster. Before leaving she walked over to Emi and kissed her on the cheek. She missed Emi a great deal but now wasn't the time for such a pleasant reunion. She had to help her family and the others.

Performing a flash step, Azumi appeared about 100 feet from where Emi and Hina was standing. She took a deep breath and ran toward them with a full head of steam. As she got to the edge of the high point and performed a flash step, once she appeared she appeared in the air falling down toward the barrier. As gravity carried her closer and closer to the barrier, she pulled her Zanpakutou free held it tightly in her hand. As she was hurling down toward the Barrier Hina turned to Megumi.

"Open the top of the barrier and let her in. Keep focused and stay relaxed. Once she's inside I will reinforce your barrier."

[Little Emi]

This will be a combination post with Emi and Yuri.

Emi glances over to her Auntie Hina for a few seconds before looking back to the Barrier. Not only that, Azumi was there too. From the look of it, they were going to help and her hunch was right when she heard that Hina was going to help her maintain the barrier. Though focused on keeping the barrier up, she was listening to the both of them speak. Was Azumi really going to use a Kido that can manipulate time and space? Something like that had to be stressful. Though she would rather Azumi not get involved, she couldn't blame her. Everyone, even herself and soon Hina, are doing everything in their power to keep everyone in Soul Society safe.

As she received the small kiss on the cheek, Emi smiled underneath her Hollow mask. When she flashed stepped away, Emi then inhaled deeply before exhaling. She never done anything like opening part of the barrier up, but she would have to try. Taking her aunt's advice, she remained focused and soon entered into a relaxed state. She then saw Azumi falling toward the barrier and with some work, opened the barrier at the top where she would fall through and once she was through, she resealed the barrier.

Meanwhile, Yuri started to come to, getting back up on her feet. She recalled being knocked down by the rather large creature, but that's not important. Emi should have been near her, but she was nowhere in sight. A little worried, the captain got up to higher grounds and soon noticed that there was a barrier around them. Shifting her eyes around, she was able to locate not only Megumi, but she sensed several others as well. That would have to wait until later. Right now, she had to help the others contend with this creature.

Emi was really focusing in on what was going on inside the barrier. Though she couldn't see what's going on, she could sense everyone's Reiatsu. After all, being around everyone for so long, she was able to determine how each of their Reiatsu reacts and well.. Just know if they're okay or not. With Hina now helping her keep the barrier up, she could also keep check on those who were in it. There was more that she wanted to do, but at least by doing this, she and Hina are keeping that thing out of the main part of Soul Society.

"Auntie Hina.. If things get too bad for Auntie 'Zumi.. I'll stop her. By the way you were hesitating to let her go in.. She must be going to do something that's very dangerous.. I won't let her get hurt. I promise."

Though, she would try to keep everyone safe if she could, but that would probably stress her out to the point where she can't maintain the barrier, but if something bad does happen, it would have to be a risk to take if it meant saving her family. Though.. There was something bugging her. That lady that showed up out of thin air. She still seemed so familiar. Why was that? The more she thought about it, the more the pieces started to come together. That creature came out of the portal as if it was thrown out. That woman showed up sometime afterwards. The way she knew Ami and Shizune.. The way she knew Ryouji was their father.. True, everyone knew who their father was, but she seem to knew that Ami had the same problem her father did.. That means the individual knew Ryouji that well. It could only mean..

Emi let out a small giggle. They were going to be just fine. Now she knew that without a doubt. Hopefully, she was in there, helping everyone out.

I can't believe it took me this long to realize it. We'll be fine now that.. Now that Auntie 'Mei Mei is back!

[Azumi Onigata]

Once landing on the ground she turned and glanced at Shi and saw that Ami and her husband were down. Shi was checking on them and there was this mystery woman. In the time it would take her to understand, the soul society and Sereitei would be destroyed. As she glanced at her confused by why she was even here to begin with the only thing she could utter was...
"Mo...mom?"

As Azumi stood up she turned and glanced at the monster as it began to shift around and roar, she gripped her Zanpakutou tighter in her hand. It had been so long since she's used Hitotoki but things haven't changed all that much.

"Shizune, I'm not sure how long I can keep this up, I'm going to need you to get your father up on his feet as soon as you can."

Shizune was freaking out however, was her mother really planning on fighting this thing alone. She knew her mother was a master of kido, but what could she do against this thing. She noticed the Zanpakutou however, but she's never seen her mother fight, not once! This was all driving her insane.

"Mom...what are you going to do?"

Azumi glanced back at her oldest daughter and smiled. It wasn't hard to figure out, she came because she wanted to help amongst other things. More importantly she wanted to protect her family and if revealing her secret meant that, then that's what she would do.

"I'm here to protect what means most to me Shizune. I am here to protect my family."

Azumi glanced at the monster and raised the arm in which she was carrying her Zanpakutou and extended it out in front of her. Before she could get underway she was stopped by the tall woman with her upper body and face taped up, similar to her husbands.

"Azumi you know what this means if you use this...not to mention its been six or seven hundred years since you've used it! Don't! The toll it takes on you and your body won't make this any easier for anyone to deal with."

Azumi turned and glanced over to the woman and shook her head. None of that mattered to her. It wasn't fair that Ryouji would always get beat up by tough opponents but it wasn't expected of her. It was a double standard, but she wasn't any different from Ryouji. It didn't matter, she made up her mind and no one was going to stop her. Reaching over to the woman's taped face she tore the tape and revealed who she thought it was the entire time. Her bestest friend and sister to her husband.

"I have to do this and I will. After having three children, I believe that I can do anything. I need you to trust and believe in me Mei-mei...just this once let me help defend my home!"

Shukumei saw the seriousness in her eyes and heard it in her voice. How could she tell her know if she knew the risks of what she was about to do. She lowered her head and sighed and stepped back. The monster roared loudly as it stared at Azumi. Her face grew serious as she stared at the creature. She extended her Zanpakutou in front of her before flipping it over and holding it in the inverse style. She brought her other hand over and placed it on her forearm. Unleashing all the spiritual pressure she could muster, Azumi's Zanpakutou began to emit a bright green aura.

"Bankai!"

A bright green colored wall swallowed her up and soon after it vanished leaving her standing in a robe of sorts with a staff instead of a Zanpakutou. She spun it around quickly before pointing it at the monster.

"Soudai Kouken Jigoku ken ma Hitotoki! [Grand Guardian of Time and Space, Hitotoki]"

The monster roared furiously upon being challenged by the kido master Azumi and raised its arm as high as it could. As it lowered its arm to crush her, Azumi spun her staff around quickly creating a spacial rift or vortex which swallowed the arm up. Another appeared directly in front of the monsters face soon after ant its fist appeared and it ended up punching itself in the face causing it to fall over onto its back. When Shizune saw what her mother did she stood and stared at her mother in shock before smiling.

"Mom, that by far is the coolest thing, I have ever seen. With that power you can totally beat daddy!"

Azumi shook her head and began to breathe heavily. It was already beginning to affect her. She shook it off and drew back her staff before moving it behind her back and releasing it. The staff began to float behind her as she brought her hands together. Immediately she began using hand signs to store up reiatsu and reishi within her body before slamming her hands together.

"Bakudo number ninety nine...KIN!"

From the ground, a giant strand of spiritual fabric, tore through the ground and entangled itself around the monster's body, arms, legs and neck to keep it bound to the ground. Azumi began to construct more hand signs. When she stopped. she merely uttered "Bankin" several giant metal bots pierced the spiritual fabric of the seal and the monster's limbs.

Bringing her hands together she began to use hand signs for a third time. once finishing Five thick cement pillars fell from the air, each landing on a different appendage and the fifth pillar landed on the monster's chest.

Reaching for her staff, she gripped it tightly and began to spin it around before slamming the bottom of it into the ground. Several of the special rifts began to appear in a circular fashion over the monster's bound body. In the center of the circle pattern, a giant rift appeared in the center. She jumped back as one appeared in front of her. She extended her hands before her and began to perform several sets of hand signs and when she finished. Her eyes changed from their usual yellow to a dark red.

"Hadou eighty-eight: Hiryūgekizokushintenraihō!"

As she fired the destructive beam into the hole, moments later the beam had fired from each of the rifts she created with her staff. It served to multiply the capacity and strength of the beam several times over and at close range. There was a gigantic explosion as a result. As Azumi stood there she dropped down onto her knees and began to grip her chest. She began to cough up blood as she stared at waited to see if she managed to defeat the monster...

[Little Emi]

As Emi sensed what Azumi was doing, it really scared her when she sensed her Auntie's Reiatsu drop at a dangerous rate.She had to get to her and quick. Maybe there was a way to help her or something. She then look over to Hina. She hated to let her take over keeping the barrier up, but there was no other choice.

"Auntie Hina, can you take over keeping the barrier up? I want to check on Auntie 'Zumi."

With a nod from Hina, she took over the task of maintaining the barrier. Emi then got up and soon flash stepped over to it, going through a hole that Hina had made for her which closed after she was in. She quickly flash stepped to her Aunt, stopping when close to her. She then knelt down beside her and held out her hands to her. Her hands then glowed a light green. Though she wasn't sure if she was physically injured or anything, she wasn't taking any chances. She wasn't going to let anything else happen to her.

"I never seen you do anything like that before, Auntie 'Zumi. I know why you did it but.. please don't do that again. You really scared me when I sensed your reiatsu drop so drastically."

Emi couldn't help but to smile. She knew that if she was in Azumi's place, she would have done the same thing regardless of any warning anyone gave her. Everyone was giving it their all and she just wanted to help no matter what.

"I can sense that Uncle 'Ouji is close to her. He seems to be doing fine. I would go to him, but I know he can take care of himself. Er.. not that you can't do the same, Auntie 'Zumi! You just need me more, that's all!"

Letting a nervous giggle, she went back to focusing on tending to Azumi. Why did something this bad have to happen when she decided to come back to see everyone? It made her feel kind of sad but at least she can help them out by tending to their injuries and whatnot. Plus, it was good to see everyone despite what's going on!

"That should do it, Auntie 'Zumi. It is really good to see you. I've missed you and everyone a lot. We'll have to get to that later. You gave that thing quite a beating. There's no way it could survive all that!"

Even so, she had to keep herself ready just in case that thing was alive although she hoped it really was gone. She helped Azumi back on her feet, keeping close to her.
