It was a beautiful morning in the human world. The sky was clear and the birds were singing. Not only that, people were traversing from one place to another so it was a very busy day although it had just begun. Yuri was sitting at a table just outside of a cafe, legs crossed while she was reading some papers in her hand. Since she had a small plate in front of her, she was in a gigai and had ordered herself a small snack. She was waiting on someone.. Well, she was waiting on several individuals, really. She could only imagine how this would work out. The majority of the guests she invited would be fine with it. It was only a few that she knew would question this. Ah well. It was bound to happen and might as well get it out of the way. She was an adult and could do what she wanted as long as it didn't threaten the safety of those she cared for.
Soon, she was approached by someone who then sat down at her table. Even though she was still reading, she knew who it was.
"Right on time." "Of course. Didn't want to keep you waiting."
The comment made her chuckle as she put the sheets away to give her visitor her full, undivided attention. For a while, the two conversed about several things regarding on how the other was doing. Just normal talking, really. Nothing special.
"So, when will the others be coming?"
"Hopefully soon. It's best that I go ahead and introduce you. Can't keep it a secret, you know. Not like I could, anyway. They have this uncanny ability to find everything out. Not like I have any reason to hide, right?"
"Of course not, but it's natural to be nervous when things like this are involved."
"I know the majority will be excited. The ones I expect to say anything are just protective and I love them for it. They should be arriving soon."
Even if she could hide it, which took a lot doing, she was still a bit nervous about it all. This was a big step after the first relationship. How many years had it been, anyway? She had lost count somewhere along the line. It'll work out fine. Yuri then took a deep breath before exhaling, noticing that the man in front of her had placed his hand on top of hers as if to comfort her. A small smile formed. It felt nice not being alone. She knew that she technically wasn't like that, but there's a difference of feeling alone when away from family and alone in a dating sense. She then looked to her free hand to her watch. Any moment moment from now, there would be others here just to hang out and get away from Soul Society for a while just like they used to do many times in the past.

For the first time ever, Saya was totally excited for this was the first time that she was ever going to the human world. She's always lived in the soul society in her time so she wasn't use to all the people and the loud noises and the smells and everything. She's heard stories from her mother and even her Auntie Emi but this was truly the first time she's ever gone and it was thanks to her Gramie Yuri well at least the one in this time period, the one back home would never go for something like this. It was awesome. Since she and Aysa were extremely good at tracking, her mom told them to find Gramie Yuri but she totally made a detour on the way and thanks to her grandma and Auntie Shiori she has a ton of spending money and the first thing she bought was cookies! Since they weren't really allowed to have sweets because of strict training schedules and such this was the perfect opportunity.
She walked and continued stuffing her face fool of cookies when she spotted her Gramie, sitting with some dude person. So was this the one? Was he 'the guy' He didn't seem like much from far away but then who would, she was constantly surrounded by powerful Shinigami every day a lot of things feel weak in comparison. She was certain that her Auntie Shiori wasn't going to like this one bit. She was totally excited to spend some time with Yuri but if this is the reason why they were invited to the human world...she was going to be so mad! After stuffing her face with another cookie, she performed Hirenkyaku and appeared directly beside the two of them. She glanced to her Gramie Yuri and then over to the dude person before stuffing her face with another cookie and chewed it while staring at him.
"You know Gramie Yuri...grandpa was right. You totally have a boyfriend! He's been totally quiet and Grandpa can't be quiet around me because I won't let him! He was doing that weird folding-arms-frowning-thing! Auntie Shiori had the utmost faith that you just wanted to come to a beach or something and spend time with her but boy when she sees this guy...she's going to be super upset and jealous and stuff!!"
She glances down at the table and sees them holding hands or touching hands...when Shiori sees that she's going to have freak-out!! She shovels another cookie into her mouth before turning to face that controlled the hand that was holding her Gramie Yuri's hand. She giggled and shoved another cookie into her mouth.
"Gramie Yuri, if you hurry, you can totally hide him in your robe! Then again you're so tiny that it'll seem like you're attempting to hide him behind a napkin! Oh silly me, I forgot to introduce myself to your boyfriend with a death wish! Hello Mister! My name is Saya Tatsuya, and this here is my Gramie! I hope you know what you're getting into. I don't know what she's told you about my family, especially my grandpa and Auntie Shiori...but they are going to want to harm you so, stay in well lit areas with lots of other humans! I believe humans have a saying...strength in numbers or something right? I don't think you know enough or if there are enough people in this city that would keep you safe from my Auntie Shiori. Grandpa will be okay!"
She would shake his hand or bow or something but she was way to busy eating cookies...and they were absolutely fantastical! She could definitely eat these for the rest of her life and be completely happy! After shoving another into her mouth she turned and glanced to her right and noticed that Aysa was coming...she got even happier as her bestest best friend ever found them!
"AYSA!!!! This is gramie Yuri's boyfriend...better say hi to him now because when Auntie Shiori gets here...there won't be much left of him! Poor guy, he doesn't stand a chance!"

Yuri tilted her head to the side as she listened to Saya before letting out a deep sigh. While it was cute in its own right that Shiori would be jealous, she could easily see her wanting to get violent. She was the same way with her father. She would expect the same out of Ryouji. Well, maybe not being violent but she could still see him glaring at Tohru. So much for the perfect get together/family reunion/meet and greet. It shouldn't be a surprise that something like what she envisions will happen, but for heaven's sake, she was old enough to not have to deal with it! If it was one of the girls (hers and Ryouji's included), she'd understand! If that wasn't enough, Aysa soon showed up and started to chime in with Saya!
"You better hide him quick, Grannie Yuri! He won't last a second with Auntie 'Ori or Mister Uncle 'Ouji!"
Yuri merely shook her head from side to side as she was more or less being double teamed by the cousins. By this point, she was mentally cursing herself. Nothing she could do about it now, really. Good to get it over with. Aysa was standing next to Saya who were now sharing cookies with each other. This caused Yuri to raise an eyebrow. She thought that Future Shizune and Future Megumi wouldn't allow them to do so. Ehh.. It was confusing already so she wasn't going to worry about it.
Not too far, though hidden through the ability of her Zanpakuto, the other Future Emi was leaning against the side of a nearby building that was at least in seeing and hearing distance. Might as well keep a look out since there is usually some kind of happenstance that happens during these kind of meetings. Little Hina eventually showed up as well along with Emi (Present version) and two extra visitors! She had happened to find Ayumi and Ayane nearby and invited them to come as well!
"Welcome, welcome! Please, take a seat! Not like there isn't enough!"

Post by Hina Kusanagi on Aug 18, 2014 9:44:08 GMT -5
It was turning out to be a grand family reunion indeed. Seems like everyone was showing up including Hinako herself who was notified by her twin nieces that Yuri wanted everyone to get together. She would get to see her nieces again after so many years. Quite a bit has changed for Hinako including a few she's never met before like the one who was somewhat named after her and even Shiori whom she's heard so many things about including how dreadfully strong she was, even for a Kusanagi. She's tried keeping in contact with her sisters but it was quite hard with them living in different places but she has kept in touch with Ryoko who too moved to the human world with her but now had a small family of her own.
After arriving at the meeting spot and with the influx of people arriving she quickly gave her twin nieces hugs and a hug for Yuri whom she hasn't seen in years. She then turned her attentions to the two who were eating cookies and shook her head, cookies were meant to be enjoyed now nearly swallowed whole. She didn't know them at all but she was certain that she get to know them at some point during this outing. Then she saw Emi and how much she had grown and hugged her tightly! She wasn't the little girl who she adored, now she was a grown woman and so pretty too! She wondered if she still was Ryouji's biggest fan.
"It's so good to see all of you again and even the ones I haven't met. I'm Hinako for those of you whom I've never met. I am Azumi and Ayame's eldest sister!"
Upon hearing the elder sister part Saya glanced over to the woman and was amazed that someone was even older than her grandma Azumi that was well quite shocking for her because she didn't look very old or wrinkly. Then again neither did Azumi who could definitely pass for being Saya's older sister which was cool because that means she could age to be a thousand years old and not look older than sixteen which was pretty cool!
As if on cue Azumi and Ayame approached Hinako from behind and hugged her as best they could considering their positioning. Finally the sister's Kusanagi had reunited after so long! Azumi looked better than ever! Still so youthful and energetic. If all the girls didn't look nearly identical to her you would think she was never a mother. That's a Kusanagi for you, they age remarkably well. Even by their own standards.
"Hina, I've missed you so much, you have to come back home and visit. You've missed so much. So many introductions to be made! Shiori and Ryouji, will be here any moment now, they are having a nice long chat about their behavior. They are both protective of Yuri...and Shiori takes that to a level that can't be possibly described or imagined. Shiori loves Yuri probably more than she loves me! or finding out she's moving on and dating has been hard for her to accept. Anyway how have you been?"
Hinako and Azumi and Ayame went off into their own discussion about what's going on and changes and even information about Azumi actually having a grandchild in the present Era thanks to Ryoko! She was excited and couldn't wait to meet the little cutie. It was such a good feeling until the mood changed completely when Shiori and Ryouji showed up along with Yuriko Asuna, Shizune, Future Shizune and Ami. It got deathly silent as everyone stared at Ryouji and Shiori. That was until Saya attacked her grandfather with a giant hug and a face filled with cookie crumbs! Shiori on the other hand was not nearly so happy and excited. She walked over to her mother to meet with the Auntie whom she's never seen before to be introduced.
"Hinako, this is her niece Shiori...she's the one born with the...family trait!"
Shiori bowed respectfully and entered into a conversation with Hinako and her mother. It was nice for Hinako to meet the niece she's heard so many stories about. The fact that she wasn't really a 'front-liner' if you will like Shizune and Ami but choosing a different path and becoming a doctor of sorts. Which was great considering Kido had many applications and helping others was an efficient way of using those talents. Azumi walked away and pulled Little Hina over to where she and Shiori were standing and kept her arm around her.
"Hinata I want to introduce you to my big sister Hinako. You were sort of named after her. Hinako, this is Hinata, our shy little niece whom I adore very very much!"
Hina picked up on how Azumi emphasized the word shy and thought it would be best not to startle her by attempting to hug her and everything. She just waved and greeted the girl. The family had gotten so huge in the time she was away. Yet it was still very nice to meet everyone and she hoped that Ryoko would make it soon. She definitely wanted Azumi to meet her granddaughter and to see Ryoko again. She wasn't nearly as clumsy as she use to be!

After being made to come along, Hina went with her Auntie to see her other auntie! It made her feel a little nervous as this is the first time seeing her, but once she did get a decent look at her, a little bit of the nervousness went away. Hinako was/is very pretty looking just like Azumi! She was trying her best to speak, but every time she tried, it just felt like she had a lump in her throat which made it difficult to say anything. That is, until she noticed that Ryouji and Shiori were there. Attempting to speak once more, she cleared her throat.
"P..Pleased to meet you, Auntie Hinako.. It's... Nice to see you too, Uncle Ryouji.."
That wasn't too bad/ Nope, not at all. The real question was could she manage to do what she's been wanting to do for a while now? Only one way to find out! She literally took her time to just slowly sidestep over to him. Poor girl was a bundle of nerves right now. She knew that he would never hurt her but that's not what has her so scared. It mostly has a part to deal with that she really couldn't tell if it him or not like her sister and some of the others can. A better way to put it was like he wasn't there but really was or.. something. It was hard to think of so Hina just shook her head to dismiss the thought. Once she was in front of Ryouji, she slowly looked up to him. 'I can do it. I can do it', Hina said mentally as she prepared to do probably the one thing no one would expect her to do: Finally hugging Ryouji!
It wasn't as bad as she thought it would be and not as scary! Sure, he was a lot taller than her but that didn't matter! It felt like a huge accomplishment to be hugging for this long!
"I... I know I'm really shy around you, Uncle Ryouji but.. I do love you!"
Yuri had been watching ever since the silence had started. She knew what, or rather who, had come that had drawn conversations to a stop. An eyebrow did raise as she did see Hina hugging onto Ryouji. A small smile formed before it widened. She was very proud of her daughter for being able to do something that she knows was terrifying to her. At this point, the other Future Emi decided it was time to stop hiding. That, and being in stealth for this long was beginning to wear her out just a little. She was almost positive that no one would notice as it seemed like the majority of everyone was focusing on the fact that Hina was still hugging Ryouji and if she was asked, she would merely state that she arrived not too long ago. She wouldn't care if they believed her or not. She made it here, didn't she?

Post by Future Shizune on Aug 21, 2014 11:03:55 GMT -5
It was a touching moment to be certain. A girl she hardly knew but knew of finally gave her father the hug she's been meaning to for years. Perhaps one day that shyness would fade and she could converse with everyone. That wasn't what bothered Shizune at least not at this particular moment, what truly bothered her was that her daughter and niece were eating sweets! As if they weren't high octane enough, but put sugar in their systems and they'll be all over the place. Stepping around everyone she approached Saya and Aysa from behind and took the cookies from them. When they glanced back and in unison said "Awww!" but they wouldn't give her any back talk because of it.
"The last thing you two overly hyper girls need is sugar! Now wipe your faces and behave yourselves! Where did you get these anyway?"
Saya explained that before they left to come here, Auntie Shiori gave them these magical cards filled with money and stuff. It's like what Shinigami would use when they would come to the human world. Upon hearing Shiori's name that was enough for her to not make a fuss about it. The last thing she wanted to do was to upset Shiori even more than she already was due to Lady Yuri and her friend that she wanted everyone to meet. She just nodded.
"In that case, you've had enough for now! You may get them back later. Saya...tables are made for sitting at, not on. Use a chair like everyone else."
Saya climbed down from the table and sat down in a chair as her mother instructed her to do. She didn't want to talk back or make a huge fuss because she totally wanted her cookies back. They were so round and delicious and soft! It was totally heaven! They were never allowed to eat stuff like this when they were home! When she saw that Saya was sitting like a normal person. She patted Aysa on the head and smiled before walking over to Shiori who was being all quite and distant and stuff near her mother and Aunt Hinako.
"Are you really bothered by her having a friend who makes her happy? I've never seen you so down, well...we won't talk about that. She deserves to be happy too you know. That thing with her former husband left her feeling empty and alone, even though she has all of you, it just isn't the same. She wants companionship and well love. She doesn't deserve to be alone. Maybe one day you'll fall in love and see what it feels like one day."
Shiori opened her eyes and glared at Shizune before sighing. Shizune placed her arm around her sister and gave her a hug. It was what she needed after all. This was a tough thing for her to deal with. Shiori huggled her future sister and smiled a bit which made her happy too.
"what surprises me most is how you didn't lay down your declaration of 'Keep her happy or die'. You are handling this a lot better than many of us assumed you would! I'm actually quite proud of your restraint!"
Shiori glanced up to her future sister and shook her head. She wanted to, she was told by both her mother and father not to, so she won't. She's actually attempting to be something other than a frightful destroyer and protector of all things Auntie Yuri. She's...she's being civil! It was like seeing Shiori being a normal woman...which everyone knows she could never be. This was definitely worth admiring for the time being. Then again she wasn't the mouthy child and teenager, she was a lot more mature she was behaving like an adult and not threatening to blow everything up. She turned to Lady Yuri.
"So introduce us to your friend Lady Yuri!"

Yuri just stared at everyone as they talked. It made her feel bad that Shiori was taking it the way she was. Even so, the shinigami forced a smile. It was hard to be happy when something was bothering you. She wouldn't let them know, however. When she heard future Shi talk about her former husband, it brought back horrible memories. She didn't want to recall them since it would ruin the good mood she was aiming to have with this reunion. She took a deep breath before exhaling. Somehow, this went from being excited to see everyone to becoming very stressful. She just had to focus on introducing her male companion. It feels like she was shaking and when she glanced down to her hand, she did see it tremble just a little. It was then she folded her arm and forced a smile. She could do this. It would be alright... Wouldn't it?
"Oh, yes. Introductions. First off, let me say how wonderful it is to see everyone again after so long! Everyone, this is Tohru Moriyama"
When he heard his name, Tohru stood up and gave a polite bow. He then began to speak.
"It's nice to finally meet you all in person. I've heard so much about you from Yuri. There's really nothing special about me, honestly."
He then felt a light jab to his side, seeing that it was Yuri who had done so. He gave a happy smile and continued to speak.
"If it wasn't for her, I'd probably still be up to no good. I'm sure you would understand that sometimes in a certain point in your life, you think you're free to do whatever you please without consequences to your actions. I see now that what I had been doing wasn't right. I'm telling you all this now since it would be better coming from me and that I have nothing to hide. To that effect, there's something I must show you. Just know that in advance that I do not mean this to be taken the wrong way. It's merely a demonstration."
That's when he took a pen out of his pocket and let it rest in his hand. Yuri could only watch out of worry and concern as she wasn't sure what would happen if he decided to continue this path. Regardless, in a few moments, his Fullbring activated, transforming the pen into a broadsword that had a blue light running from the top of the blade in the middle to the bottom of the blade. It only had that coloration due to the pen having blue ink. In other words, it wasn't nothing to be too concerned about.
"Might as well be fully open. I know you must have questions, but again, let me restate that this is no means a sign of hostility."

She couldn't believe how brave Hina was being today. She actually hugged her daddy. She was actually really happy for Hina because she's been plotting to hug him for at least 15 years, maybe more. Either way she was happy for Hina. Despite being stuck here and be forced to tolerate her favorite Auntie and her new pathetic human boy toy. She didn't want to be here for any of that but she would get to spend some time with Yuriko and do some serious shopping as this was the first time she's ever come to the human world so she was going to load up on Human clothing and yummy goodies and buy things for her nieces to take back to the future too. Anything would be better than having to suffer through meeting this clown her Auntie Yuri is interested in. She could do so much better, and the worst part is that everyone is okay with this. It made her sick but she promised her father that she would behave and not embarrass her auntie or the family.
"Auntie Hinako? Is Ryoko coming soon? I want to see her. I want to see how well she's done since moving to the human world. I don't blame her actually. Surrounded by so much reiatsu, it can be quite taxing if you aren't use to it like we all are. Still she's my big sister and I want to see her!
As Shiori was pleading her case to see her eldest sister, she ran up behind Shiori and hugged her which prompted a squeal of sorts. When she was released she turned around and there was Ryoko in the flesh as if she totally answered her call or something. It was seriously awesome. Shiori hugged her sister again and noticed that when her arms touched her she immediately winced as if she was in pain. Shiori narrowed her eyes and stopped hugging her and Ryoko smiled. Shiori however was not.
"Why are you wincing in pain, I know I'm strong but I barely touched you. Are you okay sister?"
She nodded and forced the smile. "I'm fine Shiori, I'm just a bit sore from work. It's good to see everyone again. Aunt Hinako must've told you by now but I have a little one of my own. Her name is Hitomi and..."
As she prepared to introduce her daughter to her family she's never met, a man shouted Ryoko's name. She glanced over and saw that her husband was rushing toward her. This wasn't going to be good at all. He grabbed her arm and attempted to pull her away and that was when all the zen Shiori was being forced to practice was lost. No one ever hurts her family when she's around and even when she wasn't. She would hunt down whoever hurt them until there was nothing left of them. She grabbed the poor man hy his face and pulled him closer to her.
"Who in the hell are you and why are you hurting my sister?"
The man pulled himself free of Shiori's grasp and attempted to slap her and she allowed him to do so and didn't flinch upon being smacked. Everyone's attention was turned to the smack echoed through out the area. Ryouji growled and walked toward the man but Shiori stopped him.
"No Daddy, he isn't worth you getting involved. Lets face it, I've been pissed off ever since I've come here. Rather than having fun and shopping with my sisters, cousins and my awesome nieces. I've been forced to be the good girl so that I wouldn't anger or embarrass the family and Auntie Yuri in front of her boy toy. I'm done being a good girl. I'm done behaving. I'm pissed and I need to vent my anger and this bastard is the one I'm going to vent on."
Shiori's Reiatsu began to bleed through the Gigai she was wearing, she was keeping all of this bottled up inside to behave for Yuri but she didn't care any more. she reached out with both hands and slowly lifted the man off of his feet by his neck. Upon seeing her act this way. Azumi couldn't believe that Shiori was this angry that she was willing to kill a man in front of his wife and child no less. Shiori knew this as well and eventually released him. She couldn't put them through something and she didn't want to scare Hitomi. Azumi sighed as Shiori dropped the man. Still the fact that she could feel Shiori's Reiatsu through a gigai was...insane. Shiori is...scary.
"If I ever hear that you raised a hand to harm my sister or my niece from this day forth. I won't be nearly as merciful for our next meeting. I will hunt...you...DOWN!"
Shiori lowered her head and walked away from her family but not before leaving a gift of exactly how peeved she was. She rams her fist into a wall and leaves the area to attempt to calm herself down. She left to a bunch of silence, but she didn't care in the slightest. She really didn't want to be present for this introduction to begin with. Surely her parents will have something to say about her behavior but it would have no choice but to wait. If she stayed, there would be no guarantee that Ryoko's husband or even Yuri's boyfriend would be safe.

Yuri could only watch as the events unfolded. Why was it that when a reunion is planned, something has to go wrong? She wouldn't say it or let it show that she was feeling horrible. All she wanted now was to be left alone for a while. She did, however, make a mental note that from now on if there was to be a future reunion, she would have no part of it. She hated to feel like that but what else is she to do? She did feel bad for that Ryoko, but at least her husband should hopefully be more kinds to her.
Tohru was just as confused as he could be but knew better not to say anything. He was mostly concerned about Yuri and how she was handling what had happened. Yuri just stood there, trying to figure out what to say. She knew she couldn't apologize since that might make Azumi pinch the crap out of her cheeks. She really wasn't in the mood for that so it didn't leave her much to say. In fact, she didn't say anything at all. That's when she took her leave, leaving them to their own devices. Understanding the situation at hand, Tohru decided to go after Yuri. Before he left, he spoke to the others.
"I am sorry for any harm I may have caused. It wasn't my intention to do so. If you all don't mind, I will go after her. Perhaps if I left, the mood will lift up. I'll make this a learning experience. Once again, it was a pleasure to meet you all.""
After he left, Aysa took it upon herself to check out ryoko's husband who was brave enough to hit her Auntie. She was really upset that he had made get more angrier than what she was. It was then she dished out a good left hook, totally flooring him. She heard her name being called out by both her Auntie shi and her mother.
"What? I didn't do anything!"

This was a disaster. Shiori nearly killed a human...your was upset about something she worked on to bring the family together and to introduce her new friend ended in a near violent display of anger. Now both of them were gone. The worst of it all was that he didn't know who to go after. Granted Yuri had her boyfriend to calm her down but Shiori just needed a minute herself. Why was he always the one who felt he had to do anything. He just sighed and sat down. He was getting to old for all this inner family bickering stuff. He was blaming both of them for acting so dumb. Rather than sit Shiori down and explain to her what was going to happen to comfort her, instead she just invited everyone and hoped things would go okay with just the way they were and Shiori while attempting to act like a mature adult for once and not threaten to annihilate someone Yuri has some sort of relationship with, she could have easily pulled Yuri to the side an explain how uncomfortable she was. Now this happens.
That tears it, he wasn't going to go after anyone, instead he was going to sit down and meet his granddaughter for the first time and leave it at that. Azumi watched as Ryouji sat down and attempted to play with Hitomi and she pulled him out of his seat immediately and pulled him off to the side so the two could talk without being interrupted or heard for that matter.
"You're not going to do anything? Ryouji I don't care what you have to do. You go get her and bring Yuri's butt back here immediately. She went through hell trying to get everyone together for something she deemed important and she doesn't get a free pass to walk way when something goes crazy. We're a big family something crazy always happens! That's how we work, we live on craziness! Now go bring her here and bring her here now!"
Ryouji folded his arms and sighed. Just when he made up his that he wasn't going to do anything, Azumi makes him do something. Truth be told he was way more terrified of her than of anyone else because of who she is. He followed behind Yuri leaving Azumi to deal with the mess of making everyone behave. Azumi glanced up and saw Saya and Aysa sitting on the wall looking down at the two of them and hearing what she told Ryouji. Upon being noticed Saya turned to Aysa
"I thought Gramie Yuri was pretty scary. I was wrong...Gramie Azumi is a lot scarier."
Azumi overheard her granddaughter's comment and smiled. She was happy to know that someone noticed how scary she could be and it left endless possibilities to the imagination of all the terrible things she could do to someone if they disobeyed her.
Meanwhile Ryouji was still searching for Yuri and couldn't find her. It made it much more difficult to track when he couldn't exactly track anyone while wearing a gigai. He couldn't take off his gigai because he doesn't have any soul pills and he wasn't going to run around searching for her forever. He found Shiori sitting on a bench staring off into nothingness which wasn't like her at all. Upon seeing her father, Shiori smiled and made room for him to sit down next to her. Once doing so she immediately huggled his arm and rested her head against his shoulder. He shook his head and sighed again. He sighs far more than he should now days but he couldn't help it, it was his way to cope.
"Shiori, not counting what you did to Ryoko's husband, you really hurt Yuri. She left soon after you did. She worked hard on attempting to bring everyone together and regardless of your reasoning, you should have handled the Ryoko situation a bit better and you could have done so without saying all the things about not wanting to be happy for Yuri. Granted I don't blame you at all nor can I truly blame Yuri, it was a big moment for her and it went to hell immediately. You owe her a huge apology as well as well as a personal one to Tohfu or whatever his name is. I understand that you don't like it when people intrude but they aren't attempting to steal Yuri away from you, but you can't keep her all to yourself forever either. Now we're going to find her and you are going to fix this mess you caused. Okay?"
He hated trying to clean everything up like this, Azumi was far more suited for this kind of thing and much better at getting people to do exactly what she wanted because she has a death stare that no one likes staring into. It's awkward for him but as a father he has to put his foot down at times and this was one of those. Shiori and Yuri were alike in a lot of ways. the main one is being stubborn as hell. It may not be super easy for the two of them to make this right but they were going to do it if he had to make them and by making them he really meant getting Azumi to make them since he didn't have it in him to yell and shout and scream.

While just some distance away, Yuri took a seat on a bench and just grasped her head as she hunched over. Her elbows were resting on her legs as it seemed like she was in pain or something. Which she was. She had time to think about all that had happened. Things could have been done so differently. How could she have been so stupid as to not consider Shiori's feelings? After all, it's really no big secret that she is her favorite aunt and has been very protective of her. It made her think back to how angry she was when she had found out that it was really Rin who had killed her husband and she was ready to attempt to kill her even if she were to die trying. She shouldn't have walked away like that. She should have gone after Shiori or at least stay where she was.
It was then she felt someone place a hand on her shoulder. She didn't have to look up. She could tell who it was just by the easy grip that he had. He tried to say something, but couldn't bring himself to say anything. He felt like it wasn't his place to. All he was interested in was being the support that she needed. Yuri took a deep breath and released her head as she straightened up. She then stood up, glancing over to him. She wanted to return to the others along with him, but she was more afraid it would do more harm than good. That was when he spoke up.
""It's alright. I've got something to take care of, actually. Just keep your phone on just in case something were to happen."
That's when she gave a nod and watched him walked away. He had her a bit worried, but she had to trust him. If he needed her, or vice versa, all she had to do is call as he can as well. Once he was gone, she began to make her way back. No need to stay gone long. If she did, she had a hunch what would happen and she can't let that happen. It was way to embarrassing. She ran her hand through her hair and just kept quiet along the way. Gave her some time to think. Luckily for her, they didn't leave. It gave her time to say how sorry she was for causing the trouble without saying sorry. Azumi's pinches still hurt. Very much so. She didn't see Shiori or Ryouji in the crowd. Perhaps he went after her to talk to her. Not that she blamed him.
"I'm guessing Ryouji went after Shiori since neither of them are here. I'd do that myself but.. I feel like I'm probably the last person she'd like to deal with right now. Guess we just needed to calm down a bit, you know? Anyway, I'll be sure to be more careful next time. Would you all be interested in doing so..."
There was this nagging feeling. Even though she felt like she shouldn't, but she just had the strangest urge to go speak with Shiori now. She couldn't stand the thought of her being upset because of her. Well, partly because of her. She knew Ryoko's husband was the other half.
"On second thought, where is Shiori? I'd like to talk to her. I can't let my favorite niece be upset."
Yes, she did say that Shiori was her favorite niece. In a way, it did feel nice to have someone attached to her like how Emi was attached to Ryouji, Aysa to Shi, Hina to Azumi, and anyone else who had someone they latched onto! Well, not latch. It was weird to explain, actually. Then she got really uncomfortable as it felt like all eyes were on her since she said Shiori was her favorite.
"Don't look at me like that, guys! I love you aoll and you know that! It just can't be helped! You all have favorites too, you know!"

After having the talk with her father, Shiori felt a bit better but she was still so very sad that she upset her Auntie the way that she did. She believed that she could never be capable of something like that and it really made her feel awful. She never wanted to do anything like that again. Sure she didn't approve of why she was brought here, the point was that it was for her Auntie Yuri, whom she would literally blow up the world if it would make her happy...well she wouldn't blow up the world, it would make her parents angry with her, but she'd totally consider it! She should be happy and not worried or jealous of someone she's never met. She would never replace her or any of the family and would always put them first no matter what. In her jealousy, it was clear that Shiori forgot that. It didn't help that some weird man person was hurting her sister Ryoko. It was definitely a combination of the two that sent her over the edge. Now she had to do what was right and apologize to her Auntie and promise to never upset her again.
Shiori released her father's arm and stood up. He knew just what to say without actually saying it. If she was going to make this right. She had to find her Auntie Yuri and apologize immediately and hope that she would forgive her. She glanced down at her father and pulled him up to his feet and them dragged him back to where the gathering had started. It took a while but once they reunited with everyone. Shiori apologized to everyone for her rude behavior. Honestly she wasn't sorry for hurting Ryoko's husband person. She'd be paying very close attention to that idiot from now on. He made the imaginary list Shiori kept in her head of people who wronged her family and it was a very short list.
After she finished apologizing, she noticed that her Auntie Yuri was with everyone as well. Shiori just stood their, as if the moment when she laid eyes upon her auntie again was frozen in time. While Shiori was staring. Azumi walked over to Ryouji and glared at him. "I thought I told you to find Yuri, yet I find you with Shiori!" Ryouji explained that he was on his way to find Yuri when he found Shiori and gave her a stern talking to but Azumi didn't want to hear it, She grabbed Ryouji by the ear and pulled him off to the side so that the two of them could have their talk. When Yuri noticed her niece she turned to face her. Shiori felt so horrible that she started to sniffle. She was really sad that she caused her Auntie Yuri to leave. Before Yuri could get a word in. Shiori ran for her with full speed, knocking over Ami; and causing Shizune to jump out of the way in fear of being bulldozed. Shiori shouted "AUNTIE YURIIIIII!!" at the top of her voice before ramming her shoulder into her Auntie's stomach and literally tackling her off of her feet. and the two of them skidded along the ground before Shiori wrapped her arms around her Auntie's waist and hugged on to her. She was in tears.
"Auntie Yuri...I'm so sorry for upsetting you. I didn't mean to. I honestly felt like that Tohou guy was going to replace me, but daddy...daddy told me that no one could ever replace me in your heart. You are my favorite Auntie in the whole wide world and I feel awful...that I was the reason you left. This was meant to be a happy occasion and I totally ruined it. Be it shame or anger. I'm sorry, and I swear that I will never ever disappoint or hurt you again! I am just very protective of you and I made a promise that no one would ever hurt you. Yet I was the one who did and I am ashamed of my behavior. I didn't make a good impression. I'm am truly sorry and I hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me Auntie Yuri...I love you and I swear that I would never ever do it again for as long as you live!"
She rested her head on her Auntie's tummy and just held her there, sobbing. She really did feel bad for saying the awful things she said, she couldn't express how bad she felt. Meanwhile everyone else was staring at Shiori as if she had lost her mind. Poor Ami was hit so hard that she passed out and Shizune was so afraid that she saw her life flash before her eyes. Everyone else just watched, some in horror, some in shock, even a few namely her nieces were happy and motivated to hug someone like that too!

Yuri would say that she forgave Shiori if it wasn't for one tiny, little problem: She was unconscious. When she was tackle hugged by her niece, she had completely knocked the air out of her and managed to knock her out in the process. She would have stayed like that if it wasn't for the fact that Shiori was now hugging the life out of her which was very, very painful. Now that she was semi-conscious, she saw that Shiori was clinging to her waist and she was crying. Yuri was a bit confused due to the tackle hug, but that would only be replaced by concern. "It's alright, Shiori.. But please.. For the love of.. What's the human expression... Oh.. Yeah.. For the love of all that's holy.. Please let go. You're kinda.. crushing me here..."
After Shiori loosened her grip so she wasn't' hurting her auntie, Yuri sat up to where now it loked like Ori's head was resting in her lap which resulted in Yuri stroking the girl's head. IT gave her time to remember what on earth happened and why Shiori was so upset. It took a moment or two but after recalling the situation at hand, she just smiled a little.
"Since I awoke to seeing you crying, I can only guess at what happened. Regardless if my guess is right or not, I forgive you, Ori. I should have talked to you first. I know you meant no harm. To make up for it, how about you and I take one day to ourselves and do some shopping? My treat, of course!"
Holy crap, does she ever ache. Shiori really did do a number on her with the tackle hug and squeeze of death. Slowly, she got up to her feet though it was a bit difficult with Ori still kind of clinging to her.She just rubs the back of her head and gave off a nervous laugh. She could only imagine how it must have look to have been tackled that hard and when she saw Emi over by Ami who was also out could, she could only shake her head and form a small smile.
"So... What's next?"

After she and Yuri made up, everything was totally right in the world! The offer to take her shopping was a nice too! Though it would be nice of her to get somethings for Saya and Aysa and even Ryoko too. However there was something that she wanted to do while they were here and that was to perhaps help Hinata develop a bit of confidence by giving her a job that she knew that she could handle confidently. Honestly it's always bugged her a bit that her cousin and best friend was always so shy around people she's been around her entire life. At least the job she planned on offering her she wouldn't have to leave home and she would have to get use to telling people no and she could actually travel with her to different districts spending. Plus it'll give them some time to hang out since Shiori is always at her clinic and Hina is always permanently attached to Azumi's hip it seems.
After helping her Auntie up from the ground and help dusting her off from the Tackle-hug of love, she gently dusted Yuri's clothing and smiled. She was happy again. The only thing she really wasn't looking forward to was perhaps making amends with Tounail or whatever his name was. She'd cross that bridge when she came to it. For now however, she needed to talk to Hinata. She kept her Auntie Yuri off to the side to explain what she was planning on doing.
"Auntie Yuri, I would like to run something by you before we join the others and stuff. First, ever since Hinata and I were little, I've always been bothered by how shy she is. Like with my daddy for instance. I know Hina loves him and cares about him and stuff but I find it ludicrous that she's shy around around him. He's been apart of her life since the day she was born and she still is shy around him. That hug she gave him today was years in the making. She's forever hanging from my mom's hip and not that I mind because well it's my mom and she has like some secret quota of hugs or something, but that she lacks confidence in herself and she's just way to shy for our age. I was hoping you'd approve if I offered Hina a rather important job. I want her to help run the Kusanagi Clan Finances with me. I honestly think it'll be good for her and she'll definitely come out of her shell. She's just as smart as I am if not smarter, so I know she can do it no problem. I don't get to see her as often as I like with the Clinic work that Emi and I do, but it's something that'll help her! What do you think?"
She looked at Hina while waiting for her Auntie to respond and smiled a bit. She wanted to run over to Hina and give her a nice hug...but if she hugged Hina anything close to how she Hugged her Auntie Yuri just a bit ago, she'd kill her for sure. She couldn't handle losing her best friend nor how upset and crazy her mom would become if she ever hurt Hina, accidentally or other wise. She would just have to give her a gentle hug and then offer her the job.
Then there was Ryoko and her niece Hitomi. She didn't approve of their current situation. Ryoko after all is nobility and deserved much better than that and her jerk of a husband. Plus with little Hitomi, the girl is of noble blood as well. Aside from opening a fund for the little dear, she wanted to do something extremely nice for both of them. Aside from sparing Ryoko's husband. She didn't want little Hitomi to grow up without a father. Though if he ever harmed Ryoko again, Hitomi wouldn't have a choice in the matter. Ryoko before she left to live here in the human world use to work in a Sake Shop in the district she grew up in. Her mother made plans to buy the place for her but it fell through. So now she wanted to do it in her mother's place. It would take time and she would have to travel back and forth but she would make it happen for her sister.
"Ryoko and Hina, could I like talk to you both over here. It's totally important!!"

After being picked up and dusting herself off along with Shiori's help, Yuri tilted her head to the side as Shiori explained the situation of wanting to give Hina a job. It sounded like a good idea to her since it might just very well do as Shiori believes it will do. She never could quite understand why Hina was always so shy around Ryouji anyway. It's as her niece said. Hina does love and care for him greatly so there shouldn't be any reason to be afraid. Shrugging it off, Yuri would give her blessings on the decision.
"I don't see any harm in it, Shiori. Go ahead and see if Hina will take the position. After all, as you said, you two are best friends. I never could figure out the cause of her shyness. If anything, I know you can find out!"
Maybe a lot of the shyness had to do with not being around other people. She mostly interacts with just the family, more specifically Azumi. Then again, unbeknownst to the others, it mostly stemmed from Hina's ability she gained through her Zanpakuto. Seeing the good and bad in people really scared her and that's something she has a hard time seeing in Ryouji although she knows that he's a good person. He's just able to hide how he really feels well enough that her 'vision' can't see under the guise.
After hearing her name being called, Hina approached her mother and Shiori. She was curious on what the two of them were talking about. It was apparent that they had made up so.. What was going on??
"Is... Is everything okay?"

Once Hina came over to ask if everything was okay, Shiori took her by the hands and pulled her into a hug. It wasn't nearly as strong as the one she gave to her Auntie Yuri, she didn't want to hurt Hina after all! After releasing her from the hug Shiori sat down and sort of pulled Hina down so that she could sit as she prepared to offer her the job after receiving the blessing to do so from Yuri. Though lets be honest, even if her Auntie Yuri said know, she'd still do it anyway. After all this was about Hina and her Shyness and her uncanny ability to see people the good or evil in people. Once the two were sitting. Shiori took a deep breath before taking Hina's hands and holding them.
"Hina I've thought long and hard about what I'm about to say! You know how much I hate how shy you are. In fact it bugs me to no end! You are my best friend in the whole wide world. With the clinic and my constant traveling...the whole nobility thing. i don't get to see you and hang with you as often as I like. I want that to change. I also want to help you overcome your shyness. I want to offer you a position working with me directly, helping me keep the clan's finances in order. Not only that, I want you to be the one who travels with me to the different districts on those silly good will missions between the other noble houses and such. You'll help me keep everyone's weekly allowances in order on top of having a final say in my future business ventures."
Shiori wasn't going to not benefit from this just as much as Hina of course. With Hina's ability to read people, she could easily see if someone was an honest or dishonest person, which would help her in her business ventures now and in the future. Shiori has always been rather cautious when it comes to business because wants to ensure that her family's money doesn't go to waste. With Hina, she could easily quadruple the families money and keep a steady flow of money coming in rather than watching it go out. It was also a plus that knew Hina was smart, extremely smart. Shiori honestly feels that Hina is her only equal when it comes to intelligence, and coupled with everything else, this job was made for Hina, both figuratively and literally!
"You don't have to answer right away, I know it's a lot to take in. Perhaps giving you this position would be helpful with your shyness problem. Make no mistake about it, even if you don't want the position, I don't want you to stop being you! Your Shyness is who you are all, I don't want you taking it as such. I just have a feeling that it'll be good for you to see other parts of the Rukongai districts and meet new people! You'll get your own office at the clinic and work with Emi and myself as we attempt to expand the clinic's operations and such. Plus I want to get Ryoko something nice. She is nobility as well after all."
