Checking on Patients

[Little Emi]

Emi was in the clinic, checking on the various patients that had come in. Mostly, they consisted of Shinigami who had taken missions in the human world and got injured, but there were a few humans who would check in. She truly did enjoy the work that she does. While she chose not to be a Shinigami, she was still able to help those in need and it made her feel extremely happy that she could do such a thing for many people.

Finally, she made it to the last patient for the day. She tapped on the door before coming in, having a smile on her face. This patient meant a lot to her and she was going to make sure he got the best care possible!

"Gooood..."

She had to take a peak out the window to see what time of day it was. Time goes by quickly when she was checking in on everyone!

"Morning. Good morning, Uncle 'Ouji~"

Ever since he came to the clinic, both her and Shiori were trying to figure out ways to get him to feeling better but they were always a few steps shy of being able to. It doesn't keep Emi from trying to research as much as she could. Of course, Azumi would make sure that they wouldn't work too hard even though they would want to keep going no matter what.

"Good morning to you as well, Auntie 'Zumi~ How are you guys doing? Any changes at all?"

[Azumi Onigata]

Since she couldn’t sleep since all of this happened, Azumi stood up and stretched and yawned. When hearing Emi’s question she could only nod and smile. Things were going as expected to say in the least. Unlike others who have been in her position, Azumi could only hope...that one day Ryouji would wake up and be hers again, be the family man again. However they are waiting for that day to come.

“Every thing is fine Emi, thank you. How are things on your end? Never mind that, some times I honestly forget that you are our daughter-in-law. You would get these patients out of here even faster if you were allowed to.”

Azumi laughed, not because she was bored or anything, but because she found it funny. Still she only hope that whatever Ryouji’s dreaming of, she hopes that Ryouji was dreaming of finding his way back to them. That was thoughts of a different time. Azumi found herself wondering exactly where her daughter was exactly. She stays so busy she hardly has time to do anything.

“Ugh,where is Shiori? Oh never mind. Hard to believe that some one my age is wondering where her daughter is. Need some help? Want to take a walk?”

Honestly Azumi was trying to keep herself sane. There are days where she just wants to cry. Yet she won’t. All she wants to do is be with Ryouji again. She wants to be here when he opens his eyes and be the first person he sees.

At least she wanted to go and see Shiori.or something. Then again she ways unbelievably patient with waiting. So much so that she was becoming impatient with being patient.

[Little Emi]

Emi gave a small chuckle. Perhaps it would be best for her to take a small walk. She then motioned her to follow her along, walking down the hallway at a slow pace.

"You got to get some sleep as well. You can't be exhausted when Uncle 'Ouji wakes up. Can't have you and him switching places."

Emi often wondered if that's something Azumi did think about or maybe wished for. She could see herself doing the same thing.

"Hey, I know! How about we get the rest of the family here and eat somewhere? Well, it doesn't have to be just that. Anything with them will be great!"

Not only would it serve as a comfort and distraction for Azumi, but it would give her the chance to speak to her siblings and mother too!

"Want me to see if I can get in contact with them?"

[Future Shizune]

After arriving to the human world after traveling through the senkaimon Saya, Aysa and Future Shizune entered the clinic where her mother was staying with her father. Upon stepping inside the clinic and was surprised at how much the technology was advanced. This place was amazing! Future Shizune stopped by the front desk and asked for the directions for Doctor Megumi and Ryouji Onigata’s room. Once receiving the directions, the three started walking in the direction that the nurse told them to go.

They’ve eventually entered his room and Future Shizune saw her mother for the first time in seven years. Azumi was shocked and gave her daughter a gigantic hug. Aysa and Saya shouted “Grandma” and “Granny” respectively and hugged her tightly as well.

“What are you all doing here? I heard that Shukumei and my Shi and Ami were coming but I had no idea that you and the girls were coming too. I am so excited that you all came!”

While Future Shizune and Azumi talked and laughed about everything Saya and Aysa walked over to the bed were Ryouji was resting.

“Hi Grandpa...”

Future Shizune, Saya and Aysa grouped together and gently hugged him. Azumi sighed happily. The girls however instantly fell asleep while hugging onto him. When the woke up the three of them stood up.

“Mom, isn’t this a Shinigami’s inner world? I thought that this place was meant for a Zanpakuto and a Shinigami to speak to one another? Yet we’re here together.”

All three of them ran around trying to figure out how they got into this place. Shizune was thinking exactly how she got into this place. Aysa didn’t care, she wanted to get back outside to her body. That’s when she noticed something. They were in someone else’s world. He suddenly appeared behind them

“Hi.”

The three of them turned around and stood there in shock. Aysa got a head start and gave him a ginormous hug. Saya ran over and gave him a big hug too. Shizune was still in shock but she walked up to him and gave him a huge hug as well.

“Do me a favor, when you get out of here and back in to your gigai, tell Azumi that I miss her terribly. Tell Shiori that I am proud of her, and tell Emi that she is still my favorite person in the world. Now get back out there I will see you all soon.”

The three of them woke up and crawled to their feet. Shizune had her hand on her face. Did that really just happen, was that her father?

[Aysa]

That was certainly a strange experience although she was glad it happened. They needed some good news considering what had happened. Once she was back to her feet, she looked to Ryouji, tilting her head to the side. Even when asleep, he seems to be aware of things. Maybe it was a sign that he was close to waking up if he was able to pull them into the realm he shares with his Zanpakuto. Aysa certainly hopes that really is the case.While Shizune was busy talking to Azumi, Aysa did seem a bit preoccupied. Her mind had gone back to what happened to Yuri. Then she quickly shook her head to dismiss the thought. Right now, she had to tell Azumi the good news!

"I think Mister Uncle 'Ouji is getting close to waking up! I don't know how, but I believe he was able to pull Auntie Shi, Saya, and myself into his inner world. He says that he misses you a lot, is proud of Shiori, and Mama from this world is still his favorite person!"

Emi who was also in the room with Azumi gave a great, big smile. It looks like all the work she and Shiori have done is paying off! It took a lot of research for the both of them, but never regretted a moment of it. Hopefully, it'll be sooner than later when he wakes up.

Aysa took a quick glance around the room. Everyone was there except for Shiori. She must be doing rounds or something. Whenever she comes in, she'll have to give her the good news as well!

[Shiori Onigata]

Once everything calmed down and the three of them seemed to shake the cobwebs from their heads. Shiori was standing right there with her arms folded. It’s not like she hasn’t been busy herself. From the moment her father lost consciousness, Shiori put herself through college and medical school in merely five years. On top of that, she found a way to preserve human bodies and keep the souls from a aging. She is a genius, and a complete badass to put it lightly.

Once everything was gathered and they shouted the news at her mother and Emi. There was shock, in the room. Those three were taken to her father’s inner world and they have spoken to him. Oh well, one would suppose that they were owed a small visit by him. Plus her father had a message for her too. He wanted her to know that he was proud of her. That alone, above anything else made her happy. Shiori stood up and placed her hand in her examiners coat.

“Well don’t just stand there, why don’t my two favorite nieces come and give me a hug?”

[Aysa]

Aysa did take a moment before she hugged Shiori. She made sure to give a super tight hug because it had been a while since she has seen her!

" I've missed you, Auntie Shiori!"

It was hard to be happy with everything that was going on, but she would try her best.

"It has been since a long time.e since we last saw everyone so we decided to come for a visit! How have you been??"

After Shiori received a hug from both of her nieces, that made her feel weird. It was strange that the were sort of distracted. Maybe even sad. They’ve got to see her father for the first time in six years. Saya I was happy about that, Shizune was happy too. Aysa however,was trying to hide herself behind her smile.

Shiori has several other gifts, like read another person’s thoughts! Her mother however wasn’t to keen on the subject. She would rather that Shiori kept this secret between the two of them but she alas couldn’t do that anymore. She closed her eyes and immediately opened them. Shiori turned around and her eyes widened from the amount of panic she was feeling.

“WHAT?!?”

The only problem was that no one in the room was talking in the room at the moment. When they all turned and looked at her she quickly pulled out her phone and put it to her ear and said bye. She placed the phone back in her pocket and sighed heavily.

“Uh I wish to see the girls for a moment alone for a minute, Saya, Aysa?”

Shiori walked out of the room quickly and the cousins followed. Once they got a good distance from the room, Shiori turned around to face Aysa.

“What happened to Auntie Yuri Aysa?”

[Aysa]

Now it was just her, Saya, and Shiori. It was a bit strange but.. At first she thought it had something to do with the call that she got. That thought was quickly diminished when Shiori asked about Yuri. It confused her to the point it took her a moment to even say anything.


"How did.. I suppose it doesn't matter how you found out. It's bound to get out sooner or later. When we arrived to see everyone, several Arrancar appeared in Soul Society. When we first found Granny, she was fighting against an arrancar with her Shikai. I wanted to help.. well.. We wanted to help, but she told us to go get help. I've.. I've never heard her sound so unsure of something.. By the time we found Auntie Shi, all the arrancar had left. We then went to where we last saw her. All I found was.. Was her torn haori and.. Her wedding ring."

The tears she managed to hold back had started to flow from her eyes. While she did say blaming herself wouldn't fix anything, she still felt responsible.

"I should have stayed, Auntie Shiori! I could have helped! I know she's alive and needs us, it's just.. I feel horrible for letting this happened!"

After hearing her favorite niece speak what happened, Shiori only managed to sigh. Rather than tearing the world apart to find her auntie safely. She found herself hugging Aysa, letting her know that it was okay. It now means that for the first time in a long time, She had only thing in mind, finding her Auntie Yuri.

“We’re going to find her and bring her home.”

It was all she had to say. No matter what the tone of her conversation was as long as it was about her favorite aunt in the world, you know she would be taking it seriously. Saya couldn’t believe her Auntie Ori, it was as if she was a...

“Psychic? I wouldn’t call it that. Psychics are for show. What I call it is something different...well actually I don’t have a name for it at all. If anything, that alone should show you that you can’t hide anything from me especially.”

Saya and Aysa were both shocked to put it mildly. How can someone like read minds. How could they have missed something like that. Aysa was far more gifted than she was but Shiori was on another level.

[Aysa]

Aysa soon wiped away tears. Shiori was able to read minds, huh? As she thought, it made sense. It would have explained her outburst and why it looked like it was a reaction from a call. It was a good cover.

Aysa had a feeling she would have to explain again what happened. Explaining it once was bad enough as it is. Regardless, it's something that can't be kept secret. Besides, the more people that knew, the more there could be to search. Still, it's not going to be a happy time when they found out.

With a heavy sigh, Aysa rubbed the back of her neck. So much was going through her mind. Even when they do begin searching, where would they search? One would assume if the arrancar we're involved, could she be in Hueco Mundo? If she was, how would they even get there?

"Sorry if that's too many question, Auntie Shiori. I.. I just want to find her. Mama is already upset though she doesn't show it. Mama of this time will be devastated.. Well, everyone will be. I know worrying about it won't help but.."

[Shiori Onigata]

Shiori paused for a moment. Honestly she couldn’t put her finger on it but things are seemingly getting more complicated the more she thought about the situation. For starters, is she referring to her Auntie Yuri, or was she referring to the future Yuri. Since it was in this time, one would assume it was the present Auntie Yuri. Things were getting complicated. She turned to Aysa and hugged her. Regardless of who was missing, oh why, she would find her and bring her home again.

“No niece of mine will ever have to worry. I will find the one responsible, kick his ass and bring her home with us. I want her here when dad wakes up.”

Shiori was eventually going to have to tell them all about this but for now, she would keep quiet. It was the least she could do, besides kidnapping is a childish move.

As Shiori was releasing Aysa, immediately after that a surge of of energy is felt enough of which brought her down to her knees. What was this she was feeling? It was intense but at the same time it felt warming and like nothing all at once. It was then and there, she said the one word that she knew would help.

“Daddy?!”

[Aysa]

Aysa gave a nod as she listened to what her auntie had to say. While she knew things would turn out alright in the end but she just had this nagging feeling. It made no sense for her grandmother to be kidnapped. There had to be a better reason.

While she knew the others would find out in a matter of time, she would rather not say anything. It wasn't for the fact of keeping it secret. It felt like something akin to admitting her helplessness and not being there for Yuri when she needed her. She was quickly snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Shiori yell. She quickly ran back to the other room, eager to see if he could really be awake.

[Azumi Onigata]

As the three of them returned to the hospital room that her father was staying in. Emi was in the room checking on Ryouji. After Shiori checked to make sure that everyone was okay, she turned to Azumi and Ryouji and found out that Ryouji was in fact...awake and Azumi was in his arms hugging him and crying. She was so happy that he finally came to!

That was all she could do was hug him and cry. It was even so bad that future Shi was telling her to calm down, but she could not. She was literally overjoyed. Azumi lifts up her head and kisses him.

“Oh honey, every single day I waited for you to wake up, and now you have! Thank goodness, I love you!”

Ryouji hugged her and thanked her for never leaving his side. Granted he wasn’t back in fighting form just yet but he will be back in tip top shape. For now he was happy to be awake.

[Aysa]

Aysa soon hugged
Ryouji as well. She probably ended up hugging Azumi but that was okay too! It was so good to see him awake and not sleeping!

"I'm so glad that you're awake!"

At least it was a happy time and one she didn't want to take anything away from that. Emi decided to hug him as well, not realizing how tight she was hugging him. She was that happy!

[Ryouji Onigata]

When Emi was hugging him, he felt the life literally want to leave is body but since he came to just a moment before, he wouldn’t pass out from the hug from his favorite person in the world. Future Shi and Saya came over and got a hug from him too. Shiori followed and gave a huge hug. This was a moment to remember. Everyone was happy, except Aysa,was keeping to herself at times.

“Aysa, you can pretend to smile. I do know why you keep wondering off and thinking. Don’t worry. We will find her. I know that Shiori will find her no matter what.”

Ryouji tried to get out of bed but Shiori was stern in not letting him move around to much. At least not yet anyway, first things first was a celebration once the get home, Ryouji shared a different opinion. Now that he was awake, Yuri was all that mattered to him.

“Shiori, the sooner I get training the better equipped we will be...Incase something happens.”

Shiori nodded her head in agreement but it wasn’t going to happen yet.

“I agree, but there are some tests that you have to pass first., but when you pass then you will be able to go. Until then, you are staying put.”

Collectively Both Ryouji and Aysa sighed.

[Aysa]

Aysa looked bewildered for a moment. How did he...? Shiori couldn't have told him since he just woke up. Was he able to read minds like Shiori? Would explain why she could, but she wasn't for sure. Then again, he has been sleeping for a long time. He was also able to pull her into his inner world. Either way, she won't complain. It would save her time explaining and give her time to focus on what's important.

"I know but I can't help but to worry.

Then, she heard Shiori said Ryouji had to pass a few tests in order for him to leave. It resulted in her giving a heavy sigh. She understood why he had to do it but she was just impatient and with good cause. She then placed one hand on the back of her head to rub it. There was a lot to be done and hardly any time to prepare for it. For now, she would try to focus on the fact that Ryouji is awake and with his and everyone's help, they would be able to start looking for Yuri.

[Shizune Onigata]

It wasn’t long after that when Present Shizune, Ami, Shukumei, and Yuriko arrived in the human world. Luckily for them, Yuriko learned the Kido for transporting individuals from one place to another. It’s also massively forbidden to use so you can see why they have to sneak around and use it.

Approaching the hospital Auntie Shukumei signed in and began walking to her brother’s room. Shi was in pursuit as she has only heard about this hospital and never actually been inside of it. She was quite amazed that her sister was actually in charge. It’ll be an eventful trip, that’s for sure. Ami thought only of her wife, she couldn’t wait to see her again. It has been so long since they’ve seen each other. Shi can into the room and immediately hugged her mother.

Shi came into the room right after her and hugged her mother tightly. She truly missed her mother but she understood why she could be home. When she looked around to find her father but she didn’t see him.

“Mommy? Where is Daddy? I don’t see him.”

Ryouji then came out of the bathroom holding his toothbrush. Shi looked over to him, and immediately jumped up and hugged on to him. It goes without saying that she was certainly heavier without him being awake for the last six years.
