Conton city was bustling due to the particular date of the year. It was Valentine's Day and people were spending time with their loved ones, showering them with gifts and other favors. As for Chieko, she was at home with her small children. She was still getting the hang of this strange custom. Her family never celebrated due to not having anything like that on their planet. It didn't bother her, honestly. After all, it was nice to experience different things. Then, she had an idea. She recalled the first time Zylus surprised her with the concept. He had brought flowers, chocolate, and even took her to a flower field where they danced under the stars. It was a wonderful time and wanted to share it with her family.
Thanks to Bulma, they were given a mansion of sorts that would fit their large family. After some searching, the Saiyan found her aunt and 1 uncle. She talked to them to see if they could watch her children while she went out for a bit. They didn't mind at all and was that taken care of, she would head off into town. She went to several stores to collect a variety of things. Once satisfied, Chieko want home to prepare everything. Zylus offered to help by at least keeping everyone distracted. Once done, both husband and wife spent some time together.
Once evening came and the children put to bed, the adults sat outside to relax. Mahler was by himself and once Chieko noticed, she knew it was her chance. She went over to her father, handing him a basket filled with some Chocolate and capsules. This caused him to raise an eyebrow in Confusion. "Why are you giving me this?"
Chieko would look up, seeming to be acting bashful. "Well... Today is a day people call Valentine's Day. Zylus told me that it's a custom where people spend time with people they care about and give them gifts." He tilted his head to the side. "Wasn't there another custom similar to this?" He was referring to Christmas that had passed recently. "Yes, but this is different. Anyway... The capsules have a few things in them like training clothes, weights, regular clothes, and other things. I got everyone mostly the same thing. Aunt Cila and Mother got flowers. I think they're called Roses? Something like that, anyway."
Mahler's expression of "I don't get the point of this" made Chieko wonder if he didn't like it or would rather be somewhere else. "I'm... Sorry, Daddy. I was just excited to share this day with you. If... you don't want to keep it, I understand." Before she could turn around, her father quickly pulled her in for a hug. This caused her to blush, but she would return the hug. "Not at all. I... I like it. I'll be sure to cherish these gifts." In all honesty, he hated the disappointed look on her face. She did go through the trouble of getting these things for him. If it would make her happy to hear that he likes it, then he will say so. When he looked back down to her, he saw that her expression changed back to being happy. This caused him to display a rare smile before ruffling her hair. Once she ended the hug, she went to her uncle, aunt, and mother to hand them their gifts. after that, Chieko had one more thing to say. "To end the night, let's take a picture!"
She would leave only to return with a camera and tripod. With Zylus' help, they got it set up. While getting together, the brothers look to each other, seeming to be annoyed that they were close to each other. The wives got close to their husbands while Zylus set the timer for the camera and then jogged to get beside Chieko. Once everything settled down, everyone went to bed. However, before trying to rest, Chieko looked over to her new picture frame that had the photo taken. The brothers took a fighting stance with Cila trying to hold Letuc back while Chieko was attempting to hold her father back. Well, it ended with her almost hanging from his arm. As for Zylus, all he could do was face palm, not even comprehending why the twins were acting that way. It may not be perfect, but it was her family. She smiled before lying down to hug onto Zylus. "Thank you for everything." He held her close before giving her a kiss before the two of them fell asleep.
