Recovering

Everything has pretty much gone to hell in the moments she had left home. She had every intention of hunting down the enemy herself with what happened. That is, once she had gotten permission to do so.She was on the way to get it until she received a phone call from Emi who explained what happened. To think Hina's Hollow along with Ryouji's caused so much trouble. Well, she wasn't surprised over the latter. Emi had also made mention that her father had taken Hina to the 12th division barracks in order to help her in her situation. She wasn't happy about it but had to trust her father's judgement. Maybe there is something he can do to help her.

Once she arrived, she made sure to instruct her squad members to help move the bodies of Ryouji, Azumi, and Shiori to the 4th division barracks. The sooner they get healing, the better. As time went on, Yuri took a seat outside the hospital wing and was just thinking to herself. To have Hina attack her family... While underhanded, it made sense. Who would have suspected Hina of all people? Even then, that part made no sense. Why Hina? What part did she have in this? Luckily, Shukumei, Shiori, and Mikasa was able to stop the enemy from taking Hina away again. It was only safe to assume they could try again. They had to be ready for that.

What felt like hours eventually passed before someone came to Yuri to tell her some news. Azumi and Ryouji should be fine. While still in critical condition, they're past the danger zone. Shiori, however, has yet to wake up. It seems that she really must have used a lot of power. Well, only thing she can do now is just pray, really. She knows the doctors here will be the ones to get them back into tip top shape. Still, this wasn't going to persuade her to stop in her mission to track these people down. They've gone after her family and that's something she cannot and will not tolerate.

Then, something came to mind. If she was given permission, where would she start? She really has no idea and at that point, it's just a wild goose chase. She needs more details but how? How could she get them?

It was at that time her father came in to see how things were going. When she explained everything, all he could do is nod. Once everything was said and done, he would reach out and pull out a strand of Yuri's hair. This caused her tonglare at him, curious as to why he would do that.

"It's to help Hina. I'm working on making something to help her. I figured if I had everyone's collective Reiryoku, it would make the process easier. Don't worry. She's fine. She's currently sleeping and I'm keeping her that way until I know the problem is taken care of."

Yuri just rubbed her head and let out a sigh. She was never really good for waiting. This part felt harder than her Captaincy Test. For now, that's all she can do.

[Ryouji Onigata]

It’s been about a week since the battle had ended and things were finally getting back to normal. Azumi was back to normal and stood up and exited the room. The another girl entered in and sat down to keep watch mostly. Everyone knew exactly who she was…everyone except Ryouji. Her name was Kiyomei, and she was Shiori’s adopted daughter! Azumi met her when she woke up! One would be excited to finally meet her grandfather, but she was worried about her mother. Things were going to be alright for her mother, she could just tell!

Kiyomei, really hoped that she could finally meet her grand father. She has heard all about him from her mother and her Auntie Ami and Auntie Emi. He seems like a wonderful person to get to know! Azumi entered the room once more and sat down next to Kiyomei.

Ryouji began to stir around a bit, and groan out loud causing Kiyomei to stand up and check on him. Ryouji’s eyes opened and came into focus. He looked around the room slowly. That is when Kiyomei poked her head into Ryouji’s view. She waved at him and simply said “Hi!” Ryouji responded with a gigantic shriek before sitting up in his bed. Kiyomei ran over to her grandmother and hugged her. Azumi hugged her and tried to get Ryouji to calm down. She explained that Kiyomei was Shiori’s adopted daughter. Ryouji was shocked that Shiori had a daughter to begin with!!!

[Ryouji]: “I am so very sorry for scaring you. I was just shocked, and that Shiori could have a daughter!”

Kiyomei smiled, and explained that Shiori had adopted her sixteen years ago. She was very excited to finally meet her grandparents!! An attendee, entered the room and whispered to Azumi and quickly left. Azumi tossed Ryouji his slippers.

[Azumi]: “Put these on, Shiori’s waiting for us…”

Ryouji wasn’t sure if he would be able to go. That was when Azumi used her Kisagara and stared a hole through Ryouji, causing him to shut up immediately.

[Azumi]: “NOW!!!!”

With her parents and daughter, Auntie and even sisters and of course Emi were all surrounded her bed. Shiori weakly smiled that they all came to see her. She wanted to tell them all that there was nothing the attendants could do. Unfortunately, the time was fast approaching. Kiyomei reached forward and grabbed Shiori hand and was sad. Azumi, was in tears, she was going to lose her daughter.

An attendee came into the room and whispered into Azumi ear. The news was by far the most unpredictable thing she has ever heard. Azumi stopped shedding tears and was looking angry. Ryouji stared at her but then Azumi whispered into his ear the very thing that the attendee told her and he lowered his head and shook his head slowly. He wanted to laugh but this wasn’t the right place or time.

[Shiori]: “Mommy… Daddy… please take care of Kiyomei…she means everything to me…”

Ryouji and Azumi were standing there with just with looks of hilarity and shame on their faces. This was her moment after all. Suddenly, Shiori fell silent and she closed her eyes. The moment of her passing will forever be remembered when she gave everything in the name of her family. Shiori turned into a little girl. Kiyomei started crying as her mother was now at peace.

Emi was looking at everyone, wondering why they could be crying or showing emotion, or anything. In fact, she had the same look as her Uncle ‘Ouji. She just didn’t want to ruin the moment for Shiori and Kiyomei. She didn’t want to ruin the mood.

[Hinata Nakayama]

Kentaro had been visiting Hina in the 13th district even if she wasn't awake yet. He was concerned about how she was doing and wanted to be by her side. Although Hiroki understood, he did have to eventually tell him to leave. He would keep him updated, but Kentaro didn't like that answer. He was determined to be there when she awakens. For now, he would go see how Shiori was doing. After all, she and Hina were best friends. He couldn't let anything happen to her either.

Once he arrived in the room, he noticed that Shiori had changed into a small girl. Kiyomei was crying and everyone else seemed to be acting... Weird? He wasn't sure what was going on. For someone to be crying, that could only mean one thing. One thing he refused to accept. There was something that he could do. In an instant, he went from Shikai, to Bankai. Every once in a while, electricity would spark and travel around his hands. Emi noticed this along with the others, but she would be the first to try to stop Kentaro.


"Kentaro, you don't have to do that. Shirori... She-"


"I can't just leave her like that! If Hina found out, she would be devastated!"

Emi did her best to try and stop him, but unfortunately, she doesn't have enough physical strength like the rest of her family does. She tries again to tell him there was nothing to worry about, but it seems her words fell on deaf ears. Kentaro was by Shiori at this point, using his electricity to hopefully shock her back to life like a human doctor would use a crash cart on their patient. It worked! However, he was rather surprised to the results of his actions!

[Shiori Onigata]

Upon being “shocked” back to life by Kentaro, Shiori was was shrieking at the top of her voice. While shrieking she was transforming between her regular self and he little girl form she was currently in. Once finished with “shocking” her, Kentaro sighed and gathered himself. Shiori on the other hand was sitting there wanting to get feeling back in her fingers and toes. Upon doing so, Shiori returned to her regular aged self and reached forward and grabbed Kentaro by his Shihakushō and pulled him close. Kentaro tried to get free but there was no use, Shiori had him and was not letting him go.

[Shiori]: “WHAT IN THE [REDACTED] ARE YOU DOING?!?! I wasn’t dead!!!!! I was sleeping you stupid [Redacted][Redacted]!!! [Redacted][Redacted] [Redacted][Redacted]…

As Shiori kept swearing, Ryouji, Azumi, Kiyomei, and everyone else was shocked that anyone could swear like that! Emi was thankfully there to use her Restruction powers to change all of her swearing so at least the people who read this later on are safe!

Shiori was being yelled at by her mother and once she calmed down she sighed. She released his Shihakushō. As she sat there, Kiyomei hugged Shiori, happily. She was very thankful to have her mother back!!! She thanked Kentaro while holding on to her mother.

While she was hugging on to Shiori, Emi stepped forward and generously tried to explain why the shocking wasn’t necessary. When Shiori gets tired she takes a few days and she sleep as a little girl! There wasn’t a need to use the shocking of his Zanpakuto!

Upon hearing this, Kentaro turned to Shiori and was about to apologize but Shiori stopped him and told him not to worry. Then Shiori did the one thing that everyone thought she was incapable of doing.

[Shiori]: “Kentaro…thank you for trying to rescue me.”
